Did Whis use powers after Beerus died?

  • Claim A: Right after Beerus’s death, Whis “suddenly” vanishes (ep 0003 00:07:53).
  • Claim B: Once a God of Destruction dies, the angel must stay inactive and Whis’s powers “ceased there and then” (ep 0004 00:08:49–00:08:59).
  • Note: ep 0003 00:12:34 says Whis “reveals himself to still have been nearby”, so the vanishing may have been simply stepping out of view.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; probably reconcilable as above).

Liquiir’s universe: 8 or 9?

  • Claim A: the narration calls Liquiir “the god of destruction of universe 9” (ep 0006 00:06:05).
  • Claim B: the episode title calls him “God Of Universe 8”, as does the next-chapter preview trimmed from ep 0006 00:00:42 (not story).
  • Note: “eight” and “nine” don’t sound alike; Sidra (Universe 9 per the ep 0014 title) is present separately (ep 0006 00:14:03).
  • Update: the story now says plainly that Sidra is Universe 9’s God of Destruction (ep 0013 00:26:46; ep 0014 00:04:55), so Liquiir being “of universe 9” (ep 0006 00:06:05) clashes with it.
  • Full-story check: the narration later states it plainly — “the God of Destruction of Universe 8, Liquiir” (ep 0007 00:01:51). Universe 8 stands; ep 0006’s “universe 9” is a one-off slip.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (a narrator slip; settled as Universe 8 by ep 0007 00:01:51).

When was Earth erased?

  • Claim A: Whis acted after the gods’ “most recent act”, destroying something dear to him (ep 0004 00:19:09), just before freeing Vegito ten years in.
  • Claim B: the staff’s vision shows Earth erased while Goku and Vegeta had been “missing for weeks” (ep 0006 00:05:26), with Pan still a baby (ep 0006 00:17:16).
  • Note: “most recent” could mean the last thing that moved Whis, not that it was recent; and it isn’t confirmed that Whis meant Earth.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; possibly reconcilable).

Is an erased angel erased from all timelines?

  • Claim A: an angel acting on their own will is erased “from any and all timelines” (Whis, ep 0004 00:11:35); Whis was then erased (ep 0004 00:22:26).
  • Claim B: the GT timeline has its own Whis (ep 0012 00:23:47; ep 0013 00:00:09, 00:03:23).
  • Note: the story raises this itself — Vegito: “Did he get it wrong?” (ep 0013 00:02:16–00:02:31). Possibly the GT timeline’s Whis was never erased because only Vegito’s timeline’s Whis acted (inferred).
  • Full-story check: no later episode explains it. Erased beings later wake in a white void (Goku Black, ep 0040 00:10:53–00:11:11), and what Giin takes for that place is the inside of a Pyramid of Power (ep 0042 00:47:23–00:51:17), but nothing addresses other timelines’ angels.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (acknowledged in the story, never explained). See erased-all-timelines.

Which universe is the Trio of Danger’s planet in?

  • Claim A: Universe 9 — “the powerful warriors of universe 9” (ep 0013 00:18:10); Sidra is “the god of destruction of universe 9” (ep 0013 00:26:46; ep 0014 00:04:55); “escaped to Universe 9” (recap, ep 0015 00:00:00).
  • Claim B: “finding himself now in universe 10” (recap, ep 0014 00:00:00). Vegito himself had wondered whether the trio were “from universe 10 also” (ep 0013 00:19:14).
  • Note: “nine” and “ten” don’t sound alike. Probably a slip in the recap.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; recap only).

Which hand wore the time rings?

  • Claim A: “the rings on each finger of his right hand” (ep 0011 00:02:22).

  • Claim B: Kusu cuts off his left arm (ep 0015 00:05:19) to take “those rings” (ep 0015 00:06:36); Vegito: “My arm! My rings!” (ep 0015 00:12:55); the arm carried “many rings” (ep 0016 00:06:52).

  • Note: ep 0013 00:04:26–00:04:35 only says one arm held the staff and the other was “wrapped in numerous time rings”. He still had rings left after losing the arm (ep 0015 00:18:41; ep 0016 00:17:22), so he may have worn them on both hands (inferred).

  • he hasn’t seen the episode in 3–4 years.

  • With six rings (ep 0010 00:13:53, 00:14:33, 00:25:39, 00:27:35; recap, ep 0011 00:00:00), “each finger of his right hand” (ep 0011 00:02:22) would leave at most one ring for the left hand, yet the left arm carried “many rings” (ep 0016 00:06:52) and he still had rings afterwards (ep 0016 00:17:22). Rings on both hands is still possible, but the split doesn’t fit both descriptions (inferred).

  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; the ten-ring reading behind the change was withdrawn).

  • Update (ep 0018): the recap says he escaped Universe 9 “with the help of the time rings on his last remaining arm” (ep 0018 00:00:00) — i.e. the right arm still carried rings after the left was lost, which fits rings on both hands (inferred). Verdict unchanged.

Piccolo erased, yet his energy is in Cell?

  • Claim A: Cell erased Piccolo (fused with Kami) with a Hakai (ep 0020 00:32:06–00:32:28); Whis’s staff: he Hakai’d “the former Namekian God of Earth” (ep 0023 00:11:05).
  • Claim B: Goku senses “everyone’s energy inside him! Vegeta’s! Piccolo’s! Gohan’s!” (ep 0025 00:21:57–00:22:05).
  • Note: Cell has “Piccolo’s cells” — super hearing and regeneration (ep 0027 00:23:35, 00:27:19) — as in the source series, so the energy may be from his built-in cells, not an absorbed Piccolo (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; probably explained by Cell’s design).

Cell using Yamcha’s Wolf Fang Fist

  • Claim A: Cell’s techniques come from his built-in cells and absorbed fighters; Vegeta, Trunks and Gohan were absorbed (ep 0020 00:34:28; ep 0025 00:20:52).
  • Claim B: Cell uses Yamcha’s Wolf Fang Fist, “better than Yamcha” (ep 0027 00:06:04–00:06:49), though Yamcha is alive and was never absorbed (ep 0023 00:01:52).
  • Note: Cell also has “data” on his opponents (ep 0025 00:12:51), which might cover it (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; unexplained).

Beerus and the Saiyans: wipe them all out, or keep a candidate?

  • Claim A: Belmod (Vegito’s timeline) says Beerus wanted the Saiyans gone and “just missed a few” (ep 0006 00:04:26–00:04:35); Heles says Universe 7 had no God of Destruction candidate (ep 0008 00:10:37).
  • Claim B: another timeline’s Belmod says Beerus chose the Saiyan prince as his future destroyer and had Frieza destroy Planet Vegeta around him (ep 0029 00:25:57–00:27:57); Frieza (yet another timeline) confirms Beerus ordered the destruction and had the prince spared and raised (ep 0030 00:26:38–00:27:45).
  • Note: Frieza says the orders were top secret (ep 0030 00:22:46–00:22:53), so Belmod and Heles in Vegito’s timeline may simply not have known, or the plan may have been abandoned; and Claim B comes from other timelines. Not checked in names.md — no sound-alike words involved.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (probably reconcilable as above).

How did Vegito survive Rumsshi’s Hakai?

  • Claim A: he let himself be Hakai’d to feel the pain, then used a time ring to escape into the past the second before he was erased, and came back (ep 0010 00:27:14–00:29:17).
  • Claim B: “When Rumsshi erased me… I let him destroy almost my entire body, just so I could test the abilities of the time rings… not without a little sacrifice” — the ring grew “far weaker, more brittle” (ep 0034 00:11:56–00:12:23).
  • Note: both have him letting the Hakai land and a ring saving him; they differ on whether he escaped before the erasure or was restored after most of his body was erased. Ep 0034 may simply describe the same trick in new terms (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; possibly a reinterpretation).

When did Frieza hit Vegito with a Hakai?

  • Claim A: “I still remember one time, that Punk Frieza hit me with one. I think it was given to him by Sidra, but I survived regardless” (ep 0034 00:11:23–00:11:38).
  • Claim B: in the wiki so far Vegito has met Frieza only once, in the Planet Vegeta timeline, where Vegito erased Frieza with a Hakai and Frieza used none (ep 0030 00:29:25–00:30:07). Vegito’s fights with Sidra (eps 0013–0014) involve no Frieza.
  • Note: could be a memory from Goku’s or Vegeta’s past that isn’t in the source series either, or an event not yet shown (inferred).
  • Full-story check: the fight is never shown or mentioned again through ep 0261.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (never explained). See frieza-hakai.

Whose family did Giin kill — Gaiba’s son, or Gaiba’s own?

  • Claim A: another timeline’s Belmod: “Jin… Murdered the son, Of a prodigy known as Gaiba”, and fears the day “Gaiba takes up the mantle of destroyer” (ep 0029 00:25:32–00:25:53).
  • Claim B: Gaiba is himself a young man (ep 0041 00:26:35) — “a young child” in his true form (ep 0042 00:39:17–00:39:25) — whose family and clan were slaughtered; Giin speaks of “his father’s death” (ep 0042 00:08:06) and Gaiba calls on his father (ep 0042 00:35:51). Nothing mentions a son of his.
  • Note: “Jin” is Giin (ep 0040–0042). “the son, Of a prodigy” may be a slip for “the family of a prodigy”, or Belmod’s version may simply differ; the two timelines also differ (ep 0029 is another timeline) (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; possibly a transcription or narration slip).

“Ten years to the day” since Beerus?

  • Claim A: Champa and Vados are erased “Ten years to the day, he first got rid of his brother Beerus” (ep 0040 00:00:56).
  • Claim B: Vegito was imprisoned for ten years after erasing Beerus (ep 0004 00:00:53) and has since spent a long hunt across universes and timelines — a year in the GT timeline alone (ep 0012 00:21:13), weeks in the Android saga (ep 0020 00:14:16–00:18:16).
  • Note: “ten years” is also how Black dates his last fight with Vegito Blue (ep 0040 00:12:26, 00:27:13); the narration may be rounding (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

Was Guts’s body left intact?

  • Claim A: Guts’s arms and legs are cut off by the Blade of Destruction and erase (ep 0046 00:38:46–00:40:06).
  • Claim B: Iwan: “These two… You so generously… Left their bodies intact for me” — Guts returns whole as Iwan’s puppet (ep 0053 00:12:41, 00:10:20).
  • Note: reanimation might restore lost parts — Guts’s halves rejoin after Vegito cuts him (ep 0053 00:26:00) (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

How was planet Sadala destroyed?

  • Claim A: Vegito to King Vegeta: the Saiyans destroyed Sadala themselves by transforming into Oozaru (ep 0031 00:07:10–00:07:30).
  • Claim B: Yamoshi: Sadala “blew up from just my uncontrollable energy” when he ascended (ep 0055 00:09:21).
  • Note: different speakers; Vegito’s version may be what Saiyan elites were told (inferred). A Sadala with a king also exists in Universe 6 (ep 0008 00:23:52; ep 0034).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction.

Was Broly at Earth’s erasure?

  • Claim A: eleven Gods of Destruction came to Earth and erased it (ep 0006 00:03:21–00:17:35; “11 gods”, ep 0006 00:16:32); Broly isn’t mentioned.
  • Claim B: Whis’s staff shows “God of destruction Broly Along with the other 11 guilty destroyers of earth” — a silhouette beside Mule’s robot, eyes closed, not interfering (ep 0065 00:09:44–00:10:37); Broly confirms “I was there” (00:10:59).
  • Note: the old scene is re-shown with a figure added who was hidden before; he did not take part, so “eleven who attacked” can still stand.
  • Verdict: confirmed retcon (the story adds a twelfth, silent destroyer to the scene).

How did the Grand Priest leave the five strongest?

  • Claim A: Z: “Even the priest, Used to be a part of them, But once Lord Zeno grew bored, He removed him, And added the new fifth” (ep 0061 00:36:26–00:37:15).
  • Claim B: Light, the fifth: “why Dai himself. Step down to let me take his place” (ep 0080 00:12:32–00:12:38).
  • Update (ep 0091): Dai himself recalls “when I first appointed you as my successor” to Light (ep 0091 00:24:41), which backs Claim B; nothing later speaks to Zeno’s part.
  • Note: both may be true from different sides (Zeno decides, Dai names his successor) (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; probably two sides of one event).

Checked — not contradictions (kept for reference)

How many Gods of Destruction are left?

  • Claim A: a new God of Destruction was appointed during Vegito’s imprisonment, restoring Whis’s powers (ep 0004 00:18:05–00:18:07) — so with Beerus gone there would be 12 − 1 + 1 = 12 (inferred arithmetic, assuming 12 universes).
  • Claim B: after Liquiir and Korn die, “only 10 gods remain, but only 10 angels too” (ep 0007 00:12:00). Eleven gods attacked Earth (ep 0006 00:16:32).
  • Note: the angel count fits (Whis and Korn gone). The god count fits only if the new god isn’t counted. Possibly the narrator counts only the eleven who attacked Earth.
  • Later counts are consistent with that reading: nine left after Heles (ep 0008 00:15:13); “3 down and only 8 left to go” after Rumsshi (ep 0010 00:30:05) — 11 − 3 = 8.
  • First verdict: apparent contradiction (minor), revised after ep 0065 (below). See new-u7-god.
  • Update (eps 0013–0017): Sidra is killed (ep 0014 00:18:37); no new count is given. By the “eleven who attacked Earth” reading, seven remain (inferred).
  • Update (ep 0021): after Quitela and Cognac die, Vegito says “Six gods and six angels remain!” (ep 0021 00:28:37); the ep 0022 recap repeats it (ep 0022 00:00:21). That fits the “eleven who attacked Earth” reading (11 − Liquiir, Heles, Rumsshi, Sidra, Quitela = 6) and the angel count (12 − Whis, Korn, Sawar, Mohito, Kusu, Cognac = 6) (inferred arithmetic). The new god of ep 0004 still isn’t counted.
  • Update (eps 0033–0037): Vegito counts “six gods left” and “six gods I’ve killed” (ep 0035 00:18:35–00:18:49) — Beerus, Liquiir, Heles, Rumsshi, Sidra and Quitela (inferred); consistent with ep 0021’s “six gods” left, Jiren having replaced Belmod. Not a contradiction.
  • Update (ep 0046): Guts: “Nine of the twelve universes, no longer even have gods or angels” (ep 0046 00:03:35). Fits Vegito’s kills — Universes 7, 2, 10, 9, 4, 6, 12, Liquiir’s, and 11 (Jiren trapped) (inferred) — leaving three, as Giin’s “the other three left” (ep 0042 00:43:50) suggests. Not a contradiction.
  • Update (ep 0047): Cukatail: Arak is “one of the last three gods” and Cukatail “one of the last three angels” (ep 0047 00:18:49) — fits Guts’s nine godless universes (ep 0046). After Arak and Cukatail, two gods remain — Iwan and Mule (ep 0049 00:43:02). Jiren, trapped in the Pyramid of Power, isn’t counted (inferred). Not a contradiction.
  • Update (ep 0053): Iwan (Universe 1) erased (ep 0053 00:35:39); one god remains besides the trapped Jiren — Mule (Universe 3) (inferred). Iwan says Vegito spared “only the destroyers and angels… [from] the erasure of earth” (ep 0053 00:31:10–00:31:22) — garbled; no count given.
  • Update (ep 0059): Vegito: “Only one god of destruction, remains left” (ep 0059 00:18:55) — Mule, if Jiren isn’t counted; Jiren calls himself “still technically Universe 11’s god of destruction” (ep 0057 00:14:03) (inferred). Not logged as a contradiction.
  • Update (ep 0064): Mule, “the final God of Destruction On my list” (Vegito), is erased; Mule claims “I’m not even the last remaining destroyer” (ep 0064 00:12:35–00:13:56). Not a contradiction yet — it may be the new god of ep 0004 that the counts never included (inferred). See hidden-destroyer.
  • Update (ep 0065): the new god of ep 0004 is Broly, God of Destruction of Universe 7 (ep 0065 00:03:08–00:03:51). That he was never among “the eleven” explains why the counts left him out (inferred).
  • Verdict: not a contradiction (settled in ep 0065).

Recap wording: judgment vs. “without trial”

  • Claim A: “the Grand Priest and Zeno passed judgement” (ep 0004 00:00:17, recap).
  • Claim B: imprisoned “without trial” (ep 0005 00:00:12, recap).
  • Both can be true (a verdict with no hearing). Not counted as a contradiction; tracked in zeno-judgment.
  • Not a contradiction.

What kept Vegito alive in prison?

  • Claim A: he guesses the chains’ magic keeps him from dying and needing food (ep 0005 00:02:47–00:03:00).
  • Claim B: “that room Zeno put me in sure had some strange magic to keep me alive” (ep 0009 00:02:34).
  • Both can be true (the chains were in that place). Not a contradiction.

Time rings: travel in time, or only to other timelines?

  • Claim A: the rings let the wearer move back and forth in time (ep 0010 00:14:33); Vegito used one to slip into the past just before Rumsshi’s Hakai erased him, then came back (ep 0010 00:29:03–00:29:17).
  • Claim B: “These rings will only bring me to a different timeline. Not reverse time like Whis’ staff could” (ep 0011 00:03:28–00:03:32).
  • Both can be true: the rings move him through time, but can’t rewrite his own timeline’s past, which is what he wanted for Beerus (ep 0011 00:02:45). This matches how they work in the source series (inferred). Not counted as a contradiction; tracked in time-rings.
  • Not a contradiction (clarification).

Potara duration

Angels keeping their powers after their god dies

How many time rings were destroyed with the arm?

  • Claim A: the arm was destroyed “including the many rings that were on them too” (narration, ep 0016 00:06:52).
  • Claim B: Mohito: “It’s a shame we had to destroy a time ring” (ep 0016 00:09:38).
  • Note: possibly loose wording by either. The number left isn’t stated.
  • many rings were destroyed.
  • Not a contradiction.

God Slayer Blade: left arm or right arm?

  • Claim A: Vegito’s energy blade comes from his left arm (ep 0006 00:28:03).
  • Claim B: the God Slayer Blade extends “in his right arm” (ep 0021 00:04:05).
  • He lost the left arm in ep 0015 00:06:02, and the new left arm is robotic (ep 0020 00:15:14). Not a contradiction.

Jiren’s tally of the vision: four gods, or Beerus too?

  • ep 0022 00:10:51–00:11:32: the vision showed Gogeta and the deaths of Sidra, Rumsshi, Liquiir and Heles.
  • ep 0026 00:17:15: Jiren says he saw Vegito kill “your own god of destruction in rebellion” (Beerus).
  • The ep 0022 list need not be complete. Not counted as a contradiction.

Cell’s perfect form without 17 and 18

  • Vegito destroyed 17 and 18 so that Cell could never become perfect (ep 0020 00:26:17); Cell is Perfect Cell in ep 0025 00:10:24.
  • Explained in the story: Gero built two replacement androids (ep 0025 00:13:21–00:14:25). Not a contradiction.

Toppo’s time in the Pyramid of Power: two days or four years?

  • “Toppo lasted two days” (ep 0022 00:02:52) and “four years of training in the pyramid of power” (ep 0028 00:02:09) agree: two years pass inside per day outside (ep 0022 00:02:47).

Jiren’s trip: Vegito’s past or his own?

  • Jiren says he “did intend to go see what happened in your past”, but went to his own childhood instead (ep 0028 00:06:47–00:07:17); ep 0026 00:27:27 already had him visit his childhood. Consistent.

Gicchin’s death: “not fatal”, yet he dies

  • The narration says Vegito’s swipe was “clearly in an effort to immobilize, but not fatal” (ep 0030 00:05:14), yet Gicchin dies of his injuries (ep 0030 00:08:06). The narration presents this as fate (“Just like he was supposed to in the original timeline”, 00:08:17), not a contradiction.

GT Gogeta: no longer ageing, yet about to defuse

  • Gogeta “can’t age anymore” as God of Destruction (ep 0031 00:19:41, 00:21:51) but must finish the fight “Or I’ll end up defusing” (ep 0032 00:27:21). Not a contradiction: GT Goku and Vegeta trained “separately and together” (ep 0031 00:21:45) — the Fusion Dance still has a limit (inferred).

”The dark electricity… synonymous with only Gogeta”

  • The narration says the black lightning was once thought “synonymous with only Gogeta” (ep 0031 00:19:48), but it was “unique to Ultra Vegito” (ep 0024 00:07:45).

”The third energy ball Ultra Vegito threw”

  • Gogeta threw the energy balls (ep 0032 00:10:13–00:10:45); the narration’s “Ultra Vegito threw earlier” (ep 0032 00:24:28) is a slip — corrected to Gogeta [?].

Had Vegito heard of the Time Patrol?

  • Claim A: Guts, to Vegito’s face: “it will fall to us, and the time patrol to fix them” (ep 0046 00:04:00–00:04:13).
  • Claim B: told “I’m from the Time Patrol”, Vegito reacts in bemusement, “never having heard of such a thing before” (ep 0048 00:05:29–00:05:44).
  • Note: Vegito was dying when Guts spoke and may not have taken it in (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

How GT Gogeta killed Beerus

  • Claim A: Vegito drained GT Beerus’s destruction energy — “you are no destroyer anymore” — and left him to Goku and Vegeta, whose destroyer garb ripped off “As if symbolically representing, their resignation from being destroyers” (ep 0034 00:21:07–00:21:19, 00:22:38–00:23:58).
  • Claim B: Gogeta killed Beerus after Vegito left, “as one god of destruction to another”, having already been given the title, and only “eventually” gave it up (ep 0083 00:11:18–00:12:11). He also says he gave Vegito the summoning button “when he first stumbled into my timeline” (00:07:01), while ep 0034 00:25:27–00:26:28 shows GT Goku handing it over on Vegito’s second visit.
  • Note: Beerus may still have held the title formally after being drained (inferred); the button line may just mean “when he came to my timeline”.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

“All 12 destroyers, 11 angels”

  • Claim: after draining Light and Makoto, Vegito has “all 12 destroyers, 11 angels And 5 members of the strongest” in his arsenal (narration, ep 0084 00:45:19–00:45:27).
  • Note: Beerus was erased by the Final Kamehameha (ep 0003 00:05:13), not drained, and several angels were erased or killed rather than drained (see world); Universe 7’s “destroyer” may count Broly instead (inferred). Not checked angel by angel.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (unverified narration count).

Who made the time rings?

  • Claim A: Makoto: “A mere time ring… Of the lowly kais” (ep 0073 00:28:38–00:28:41); Vegito took them from Universe 10’s Kais (ep 0010).
  • Claim B: the Grand Priest: “These damn higher gods polluting our realms with their devices. I was always against the creation of these time rings” (ep 0089 00:42:30–00:42:42); he links Hit to Chronoa (00:42:13).
  • Note: the Kais may have held rings that higher gods (such as Chronoa) made (inferred).
  • Update (full story): the Elder God Chronoa is pleased at “letting these mortals have their way with time rings” (ep 0176 00:31:16–00:31:38), and Whis and Hit have served her since the rings first appeared (ep 0183 00:38:41–00:39:07). This fits the higher-gods reading; who first made the rings is still never said.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; the higher-gods reading is now better supported).

Zalama after his death

  • Claim A: granting the early wish costs Zalama his life; he fades “To nothingness, For eternity” (ep 0093 00:26:42–00:26:51, 00:32:09–00:32:15).
  • Claim B: when the game ends, “ZALAMA, THE ETERNAL DRAGON OF THE SUPER DRAGONBALLS” appears, grants the wish and splits into the seven balls (ep 0102 00:35:55–00:37:28).
  • Note: ep 0093 calls the dragon Zalama’s “true identity” ([00:28:27]–[00:28:36]) and the wish was set to trigger later, so the dragon’s return may be part of the wish rather than Zalama surviving (inferred).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

The “emperor” in Guts’s blade

  • Claim A: Guts: “One of the legendary Demon Emperors resides within this sword” (ep 0046 00:28:22); Madara: Guts sealed “one of the legendary emperors of the demon realm… one of the weakest ones” (ep 0049 00:08:58–00:09:09).
  • Claim B: Yamoshi: “That fool sealed a mere demon king and called it an emperor! Why else do you think he has never even named that thing?” (ep 0107 00:13:00–00:13:11).
  • Note: Yamoshi says outright that Guts was wrong, so the story itself replaces the old claim; it fits the new account that the five were no match for real emperors (ep 0107 00:12:46).
  • Verdict: confirmed retcon (the story acknowledges it).

How fast does time run in the demon realm?

  • Claim A: Yamoshi: “just like in the pyramid of power, a day in the mortal realm would equate to far longer in here” (ep 0107 00:08:09–00:08:31).
  • Claim B: the demon king: “900 years of living in a realm that moves far slower than yours” (ep 0109 00:17:54–00:18:20).
  • Note: “moves far slower” might mean the same thing from another angle (more lived time per mortal day), so this may not be a real conflict (unclear).
  • Claim C: Kazuya: in the demon realm “time moves infinitely faster”, with a new challenger every day (ep 0139 00:35:25). This sides with Claim A; the demon king’s “far slower” (Claim B) remains the odd one out (unclear whether it is a wording slip).
  • Full-story check: later lines agree with Claim A — Vegito, back from the demon realm with a baby son: time there is “vastly different” (ep 0198 00:43:31–00:43:41); Ranin grew up there, “Where time moved differently” (ep 0228 00:10:43–00:11:00). Only the demon king’s line points the other way.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (one outlier line, possibly wording only).

Emperor Flame’s death

  • Claim A: after the stranger’s blow, Flame’s “body lifeless… His pupils blank… And no more breaths coming from his mouth… Emperor Flame had finally been dealt with” (ep 0121 00:37:43–00:37:53).
  • Claim B: when Goku wakes, Flame is still groaning, speaks of the purple-haired mortal, and only then dies (ep 0122 00:16:47–00:19:34).
  • Note: the earlier narration may simply have overstated it; ep 0120 had also wrongly suggested he was gone (ep 0120 00:36:01).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

Light’s place among the five strongest

  • Claim A: Light is “the 5th of the five strongest” (ep 0079 title and narration; see Light).
  • Claim B: when Vegito takes Light’s form, the narration calls Light “The first of the five strongest” (ep 0142 00:37:05). Guts was the first (ep 0044).
  • Note: likely a slip in the narration rather than a change; nothing else in ep 0142 treats Light as first.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor; probably a narration slip).

The ring army’s fate

  • Claim A: Z’s “holy smite” erases every copy of Vegito brought by the time rings (ep 0063 00:01:18–00:29:40).
  • Claim B: smitten, the copies were all sent to sector 10 of the demon realm, where one absorbed the rest (ep 0163 00:11:27–00:18:01).
  • Note: told by the Devil; it explains rather than contradicts if “smite” sends victims below, as the Almighty Smite does (ep 0157).
  • Verdict: confirmed retcon (the story acknowledges and replaces the earlier ending).

The Devil’s time rings

  • Claim A: the fused Vegito “Would reveal… Five time rings in his possession” (ep 0163 00:20:13–00:20:15).
  • Claim B: he shows five on one hand, then the other: “I have plenty. Ten, to be exact” (ep 0168 00:25:10–00:26:11).
  • Note: he may have found more in the demon realm, or ep 0163 counted one hand only.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (minor).

Whom does Whis serve?

  • Claim A: Whis serves Lucif — reports to him “Lord Lucif” (ep 0134 00:03:17–00:25:53); stands by his throne, “As you wish, Lucif-sama” (ep 0156 00:13:20–00:16:19).
  • Claim B: Whis has worked for Chronoa “since the very beginning. Since the moment the time rings were introduced in Vegito’s story” (narration, ep 0183 00:38:53–00:39:07).
  • Note: both can be true if Whis served Lucif on Chronoa’s behalf; not yet explained.
  • Update (ep 0195): in god-killer Goku’s timeline Whis tells Beerus his god “Was never you”, with an image of Chronoa; narration: “in all timelines… Whis has been playing a certain game” (ep 0195 00:40:33–00:41:02). This supports Claim B (inferred).
  • Update (ep 0196): in the same timeline, “with no Whis working from the demon realm, there would be no Lucif interfering” (ep 0196 00:32:15) — Whis’s work in the demon realm is tied to Lucif’s meddling, which fits Whis serving Lucif as part of Chronoa’s game (inferred). From ep 0185 on he stands openly at Chronoa’s side (ep 0185 00:30:29; ep 0188 00:11:52).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (probably reconcilable — service to Lucif within Chronoa’s game — but never said outright).

Whose idea was the tournament?

  • Claim A: Akobel tells Chronoa that “Castiel has implanted the idea of a tournament, getting all of the gods to seek out warriors of their own creation” (ep 0176 00:35:54–00:36:12).
  • Claim B: Hades to Akobel: “the tournament idea you gave everyone was just to throw us all off your tail” (ep 0186 00:11:39–00:11:54).
  • Note: Akobel may have planted it through Castiel; the new version of the deal was Chronoa’s idea (ep 0186 00:30:47–00:30:56).
  • Full-story check: Zeus later approves “this idea, a tournament of creations” without saying whose it was (ep 0187 00:34:53–00:35:04); nothing later settles it.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (never explained).

Goten’s place among the Omni King’s five strongest

  • Claim A: the Omni King calls Goten “the first of the five strongest in this multiverse” (ep 0174 00:11:56–00:12:08).
  • Claim B: narration: “Goten, aka Mr. Fifth of the Five Strongest”; Xicor is “the fourth of the five strongest” (ep 0190 00:06:16, 00:08:20–00:08:28).
  • Note: “first” and “fifth” don’t sound alike enough for a mishearing (inferred); “fifth” may be a play on the name (Go = five) (inferred).
  • Update (ep 0199): in Omni Vegito’s past he takes young Goten as “my new, fifth of the five strongest” (ep 0199 00:42:02–00:42:07), agreeing with Claim B.
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction (unexplained).

Who killed Goku and Earth in god-killer Vegeta’s timeline?

  • Claim A: Champa: Goku “died a long time ago”, and everyone on Earth was killed “at the hands of someone called… Frieza”; narration: in this multiverse Goku did not defeat Frieza (ep 0204 00:35:53–00:36:44). Frieza himself says Goku’s death “was a good day” (ep 0205 00:13:35–00:13:45).
  • Claim B: Frieza, about to be erased: “He beat me! That’s why my body is like this! It was Beerus who slayed him!” — Beerus got rid of Earth and ordered Planet Vegeta destroyed; Beerus answers “I guess so. What does it matter now?” (ep 0205 00:38:31–00:39:17).
  • Verdict: confirmed retcon — the story overturns Champa’s account within the flashback, and Beerus doesn’t deny Claim B. Frieza may be lying to save himself (unconfirmed).

How was Ranin born?

  • Claim A: Dai’s Almighty Smite erased Rani’s devil powers and sent them to the demon realm’s depths (ep 0157 00:01:18–00:02:47); her child says that when Dai “attempted to smite” her, her angelic self remained while her Devil Gene and the child were removed together, and so he was born (ep 0175 00:07:46–00:09:22).
  • Claim B: Ranin: “When mother was smited by father, her entire gene was sent away. And from that alone, I was born” (ep 0229 00:12:48–00:13:11).
  • Verdict: apparent contradiction — “father” means Vegito elsewhere in the same episode; Dai was later absorbed into Vegito (ep 0163–0167), which might explain the wording (unconfirmed).
