Episode 0053
Summary
Vegito drops out of Ultra Instinct, loses his horn and wakes confused, barely remembering the fight with Xicor — “No son of mine” (ep 0053 00:01:52–00:03:28). Taking Madara’s words to heart, he resolves to find out how many gods there are and to save “every timeline… and universe” from them (ep 0053 00:03:28–00:04:34). As he steps toward a new portal, a ball of destruction energy nearly hits him: Iwan, God of Destruction of Universe 1, has come back alone (ep 0053 00:05:05–00:06:08). When Vegito rushes him, Guts and Madara strike from both sides — reanimated by Iwan, whose “forbidden power of reanimation” works them like puppets on thin strings of energy from his fingertips (ep 0053 00:10:02–00:12:57). Vegito is furious that Iwan uses their bodies, then laughs it off — Iwan “stole my move” — and summons his own apparitions of Guts and Madara, which fight the puppets to a standstill (ep 0053 00:13:16–00:18:36). He then dismisses them and fights both puppets at once in his Ultra form, untouched; he cuts Guts in half, but the puppet re-forms, and they keep getting up after he knocks them down (ep 0053 00:19:45–00:29:07). Vegito appears in Iwan’s face to Hakai him, but Iwan begs: erasing him would erase the puppets too, and he offers to vanish and even help find Mule (ep 0053 00:29:22–00:31:45). Vegito walks to Guts, speaks to him quietly, and with a horn growing from his skull and a tear falling, erases the puppets himself (ep 0053 00:31:55–00:34:18). When Iwan runs, Vegito drives a “Planetary Hakai” into the planet’s core and erases Iwan, Madara and the whole planet (ep 0053 00:34:33–00:35:39). Floating alone, he vows revenge on the destroyers — and a black-haired figure in divine clothing lands behind him: “I am the third of the five strongest… You may call me… YAMOSHI” (ep 0053 00:35:55–00:37:16).
Key events
- 00:01:52–00:02:08 Still in Ultra Instinct, one black horn out, Vegito mutters “I will have my revenge”, collapses to base form and loses the horn.
- 00:02:47–00:03:17 Confused: “Was I fighting someone?… That kid… That god… No son of mine” — he now denies any link to Xicor.
- 00:03:28–00:03:46 “what Madara said was actually true… Far more gods than I had ever anticipated… Every timeline is plagued by them”.
- 00:03:46–00:04:01 “Even the timeline with that kid… Resulted in everyone being wiped out… These gods can never be trusted”.
- 00:04:01–00:04:34 He wants to learn more about what Madara said: “a way to save every timeline… And universe… From the rule of these monsters”, and how many “cockroaches” remain.
- 00:05:05–00:05:22 A ball of “concentrated destruction energy” appears behind him; he dodges.
- 00:05:53–00:06:08 The attacker is Iwan, back alone despite having run away earlier.
- 00:07:27–00:07:42 Iwan: he “merely retreated… To get the tools… I needed”.
- 00:07:58–00:08:14 Iwan’s stance: arms wide, fingers moving “as if controlling puppets”.
- 00:10:20–00:10:52 Guts and Madara strike Vegito from both sides; he blocks and throws them back.
- 00:11:08–00:11:23 Both “the first… And second members of the five strongest” are back “at full health”.
- 00:12:11–00:12:57 Thin strands of energy run from Iwan’s fingertips to their limbs: “my signature ability Is the forbidden power… Of reanimation… my greatest puppets”.
- 00:13:46–00:14:02 “the first appearance of Iwan’s mouth… Ever seen in the history of Dragon Ball” — he laughs.
- 00:14:17–00:14:38 Iwan: it was Vegito who killed them; “All is fair in love and war”.
- 00:14:55–00:15:10 Vegito: “I’m just more annoyed… That you stole my move”.
- 00:15:10–00:15:58 His eyes turn completely black; he summons the energy apparitions of Guts and Madara — “made up of their true energies… Not those lame counterfeits”.
- 00:17:31–00:18:19 He points two fingers to command them; the two pairs clash as equals.
- 00:19:12–00:19:28 Vegito calls Iwan “the little yeti”.
- 00:19:45–00:20:16 He dismisses his apparitions and powers up to his Ultra form (Ultra Instinct + Ultra Ego).
- 00:21:00–00:21:06 Iwan: each of the two left Vegito near death “Only days ago”.
- 00:22:07 “I had problems reading your movements before Madara”.
- 00:24:26 Madara summons his giant samurai titan to shield himself from a barrage of ki blasts.
- 00:24:59–00:25:44 With an energy blade from his right arm, Vegito cuts Guts in half again (“Rest in pieces my friend”).
- 00:26:00–00:26:47 Guts’s halves join back “straight out of the playbook of Vegito”: “Looks like I’m no longer the only immortal here”.
- 00:27:48–00:28:04 One kick sends both puppets crashing down.
- 00:28:19–00:28:36 “a bigger jump… Than even when I rematched that freak Zarbon on Namek”.
- 00:28:52 The puppets rise again; Iwan: they will fight “as long as I exist”.
- 00:29:37–00:30:09 Vegito, palm to Iwan’s face, starts the Hakai call.
- 00:30:40–00:31:10 Iwan: erase him and the two vanish too — “They are only here because of my energy”.
- 00:31:10–00:31:45 Iwan pleads: Vegito must be saving them for a reason; he offers to leave the universe, never touch a mortal again, and help find Mule [?].
- 00:32:11–00:32:28 Guts — “perhaps… One of the only Gods… Vegito had grown a level of respect for”: “What has he done to you Guts?”
- 00:32:43–00:33:13 Vegito: Guts had nothing to do with what happened to his loved ones; “Madara had mentioned a land beyond… I cannot make the wrong decision here”.
- 00:33:30–00:33:45 A horn grows from the right side of his skull; a tear falls.
- 00:33:59–00:34:18 “Hakai!” — the puppets are erased.
- 00:34:18–00:34:33 Iwan: “You monster… You demon” — and runs.
- 00:35:05–00:35:39 “Planetary Hakai!” — palm into the planet’s core; Iwan, Madara and the planet erased.
- 00:35:55–00:36:28 “Those two deserve to just die and atone in the afterlife”; he vows revenge on the destroyers.
- 00:36:44–00:37:16 A figure with black hair, a symbol on his cheek and “divine clothing”: “I am the third of the five strongest… You may call me… YAMOSHI”.

Uncertainties
- Where the fight happens isn’t stated; we take it to be the planet where Xicor died (inferred).
- Iwan’s “only the destroyers and angels… were part from the erasure of earth” (00:31:10–00:31:22) is garbled — perhaps “were part of”.
- “Mew” (00:31:45) is taken as Mule [?].
- Vegito’s memory gap after the Xicor fight (00:02:47–00:03:17) — how much he remembers is unclear.
- The horn and the tear (00:33:30–00:33:45): whether the horn drives the decision, or grief does, isn’t said.
