Summary

Vegito’s portal opens on an icy planet; flexing his new arm, he promises his granddaughter Pan that he will one day bring her, her parents and everyone on Earth back, and that Zeno and the Daishinkan’s days are numbered (ep 0021 00:00:49–00:02:18). Before the staff can take him to “this universe’s god of destruction”, Ganos, Universe 4’s strongest fighter, dives at him with an energy blade; Vegito runs him through with the God Slayer Blade from his right arm, deliberately missing anything vital, and tells him to leave (ep 0021 00:02:37–00:05:59). Quitela and his angel Cognac appear, and Quitela erases his loyal student for failing (ep 0021 00:06:21–00:08:29). Enraged by exactly the kind of act that drives his crusade, Vegito goes only Super Saiyan 2 [?], crackling with dark black-purple lightning, which puzzles both gods (ep 0021 00:09:23–00:11:54). Quitela takes his full Hakaishin form and they trade blows evenly — but Vegito catches every punch and kick with his left arm, and when Quitela tries a Hakai, only a puff of smoke comes out: the absorption device has drained him (ep 0021 00:12:47–00:19:20). Cognac attacks in Ultra Instinct, insisting an angel’s power is life force made by “father” and can’t be absorbed (ep 0021 00:19:27–00:20:48). Vegito answers in his final form, a giant Ultra Instinct apparition that crushes Cognac, then reveals the special upgrade: his android hand flips aside to reveal a needle, and a Cell-like tail drains Cognac to a husk (ep 0021 00:20:57–00:27:29). Counting six gods and six angels left, he Hakais Quitela and Cognac’s remains and laughs as his new power shakes the universe (ep 0021 00:28:37–00:30:35). Through a crystal wall the Grand Priest, in his first appearance since he knocked Vegito out, asks Zeno how long to let “this circus” go on; Zeno, blank-faced, says “not yet” (ep 0021 00:30:44–00:31:39).

Key events

  • 00:01:23–00:01:36 “I can practically taste Zeno’s blood already… This arm will single-handedly delete those gods forever.”
  • 00:01:56–00:02:18 To Pan: Grandpa will bring her back, with Mommy, Daddy and everyone on Earth; “Zeno, and the Daishinkan, your days are numbered.”
  • 00:03:13 Ganos: “the protector of Universe 4”.
  • 00:03:23–00:03:38 Ganos — “the strongest fighter and leader of Universe 4’s Tournament of Power team” — dives with an energy blade, as Kusu did.
  • 00:04:05 The God Slayer Blade extends from Vegito’s right arm.
  • 00:04:19 “You were slow back at the tournament, and ten years later, nothing’s changed!”
  • 00:05:36–00:05:54 Vegito spares him: “I’m here for your god, not a weakling like you.”
  • 00:07:10–00:07:17 Quitela, God of Destruction of Universe 4, and his angel Cognac.
  • 00:07:33–00:07:40 Quitela calls Ganos his student.
  • 00:08:04–00:08:16 Quitela Hakais Ganos.
  • 00:09:17 Cognac: Ganos was trained personally by them; they’ll find a replacement.
  • 00:10:03–00:10:10 Vegito: “This disgusting system has given you the power to erase him without consequence! This is exactly why I do what I do!”
  • 00:10:35–00:10:57 Super Saiyan 2 [?] with dark black-purple electricity.
  • 00:11:19–00:11:54 Quitela and Cognac wonder why he holds back; Cognac guesses he is testing Quitela.
  • 00:12:19 Vegito: Quitela isn’t worth even 10% of his power.
  • 00:12:47–00:12:54 Quitela’s max destruction-god form: pupils gone.
  • 00:13:55–00:14:03 Vegito blocks with the palm of his left arm.
  • 00:16:30–00:16:54 Quitela’s Hakai fizzles into a puff of smoke.
  • 00:17:34 Quitela forced back into his base state.
  • 00:18:14–00:18:43 Vegito: Gero’s absorption device (or his “spirit fission” [?]) drained all Quitela’s destruction energy.
  • 00:19:42–00:20:06 Cognac in Ultra Instinct: if Quitela dies, his own powers go.
  • 00:20:28–00:20:48 Vegito will keep Quitela alive until he has Cognac’s power too; Cognac: an angel’s power is life force “formed by father”.
  • 00:21:07–00:21:26 Vegito’s final form: a giant apparition made of his mastered Ultra Instinct aura.
  • 00:21:47–00:22:12 “Remember this feeling, angel” — what Ganos and their other victims felt.
  • 00:22:50–00:23:18 The giant crushes Cognac.
  • 00:24:11–00:24:26 Cognac: angels were handcrafted by the Grand Priest; their powers switch off when their god dies.
  • 00:24:56–00:25:04 Vegito: Whis told him a lot about angels.
  • 00:25:12–00:26:09 The android hand snaps aside: a needle, and a Cell-like tail — “life force draining” [?] — his special upgrade.
  • 00:26:16–00:27:29 The tail drains Cognac to a husk; Vegito feels his divine energy merge with his own.
  • 00:28:37–00:28:47 “Six gods and six angels remain!” — next, “those two midgets” (the Grand Priest and Zeno, per the narration).
  • 00:29:04–00:29:36 “HAKAI!” — Quitela and Cognac’s husk erased.
  • 00:30:09–00:30:35 “I am the Godkiller!”; his aura shakes the universe.
  • 00:30:44–00:31:22 The Grand Priest, watching in a crystal wall, asks Zeno when to act.
  • 00:31:31–00:31:39 Zeno, with “a blank and lifeless expression”: “Hmm, not yet. Not yet.”

Threads

Uncertainties

  • The planet’s universe isn’t named in the narration, but Ganos calls himself the protector of Universe 4 (00:03:13) and Quitela is “god of destruction of Universe 4” (00:07:10).
  • 00:10:35 “super saiyan 2-4” read as Super Saiyan 2 [?]; the narration describes Super Saiyan 2 features (fully spiked hair, emerald eyes).
  • 00:18:21 “spirit vision” read as “spirit fission” [?], like “spirit fishing” in ep 0020 00:19:46.
  • 00:06:35 “Swim!” — unclear; 00:19:42 “his garden student” — unclear.
  • “Six gods and six angels remain” (00:28:37) matches our tally: of the eleven gods who erased Earth, Liquiir, Heles, Rumsshi, Sidra and Quitela are dead (inferred). It leaves out the newly appointed God of Destruction, Broly, who was never one of the eleven (ep 0065 00:03:08–00:03:51) (inferred; see retcons).
  • Universe 4’s Supreme Kai isn’t mentioned.
  • Whether Vegito wields the staff when he arrives: he brings it out (00:02:26) and throws it away to fight (00:03:59); picking it up again isn’t shown, but he is using it again in the next episode, telling it to find “the next god of destruction” (ep 0022 00:20:25–00:20:36).
