Episode 0007 Title ULTRA Vegito Kills An Angel Released 2022-02-11 Length 13:06 Watch YouTube ↗
Summary
The chapter continues directly from Vegito’s dare at the end of ep 0006 (ep 0007 00:01:51). Korn warns that angels hold the power of Zeno and the Grand Priest and possess “true Ultra Instinct”, and again demands Whis’s staff; Vegito laughs and tells him to come and take it (ep 0007 00:02:07–00:03:19). Korn hesitates, privately judging the mortal mad but dangerous, and decides to report to “Father” before finding Liquiir’s replacement — and in that moment Vegito’s energy blade, stretched further than ever, runs him through (ep 0007 00:03:31–00:04:49). For the first time, an angel bleeds (ep 0007 00:05:07). Vegito calls Korn a liar about his Ultra Instinct, blames him for letting the gods erase Earth, and reveals that Whis freed him and told him everything — including that an angel loses its powers when its god dies, which is why he attacked so boldly (ep 0007 00:06:05–00:08:45). Korn begs, warning that killing an angel will bring ruin and Father won’t allow it; Vegito pulls the blade out, and for a moment it seems he’s backing down (ep 0007 00:08:53–00:09:33). Instead, he welcomes the idea that killing angels will draw out “those two midgets”, slices Korn to pieces, and erases every piece — and Korn’s own staff — with a destruction-infused beam (ep 0007 00:09:53–00:11:58). Narration counts ten gods and ten angels left (ep 0007 00:12:00). Vegito orders Whis’s staff to take him to the next god and vanishes (ep 0007 00:12:34–00:12:47).
Key events
- 00:00:20 Recap (kept as story): Earth’s erasure seen, Liquiir killed.
- 00:02:29 Korn: angels are blessed with the power of Zeno and the Grand Priest.
- 00:02:35 Korn: angels have “True Ultra Instinct, not the inferior copy” Vegito has.
- 00:04:02 Korn thinks Vegito, at his current level, may actually succeed against the gods.
- 00:04:09 Korn plans to inform Father, then seek a new God of Destruction for Liquiir’s universe.
- 00:04:39 Vegito’s energy blade, extended further than ever, pierces Korn.
- 00:05:07 First time an angel is seen to bleed.
- 00:05:47 Vegito: no god has come for him since Liquiir’s death, unlike after Beerus’s.
- 00:06:14 Vegito: real Ultra Instinct would never have let the blade through.
- 00:06:54 Vegito holds Korn as guilty as the gods for letting Earth’s erasure happen.
- 00:07:09–00:07:26 Korn can’t believe Whis freed him: angels can’t meddle in mortal affairs, least of all Father’s punishments.
- 00:08:30–00:08:42 Vegito: an angel goes inactive and loses its powers when its God of Destruction dies (Whis told him).
- 00:08:56 Korn: “You cannot destroy an angel!” — Father will not allow it.
- 00:09:07 Vegito withdraws the blade.
- 00:09:53 Vegito: if killing angels brings “those two midgets” out to stop him, perfect.
- 00:10:20–00:11:08 He slices Korn into pieces.
- 00:11:22 He uses Instant Transmission to get in front of the pieces; one-arm pose that recalls Trunks (00:11:31–00:11:36).
- 00:11:45–00:11:58 A destruction-infused beam erases Korn completely, his staff included.
- 00:12:00 Narration: only 10 gods and 10 angels remain.
- 00:12:13 Vegito: never again will he live by these weaklings’ rules.
- 00:12:35 “Take me to the next god, now!”
Characters appearing
- Ultra Vegito
- Korn (dies)
- Mentioned: Whis, Liquiir, Beerus, Zeno, Grand Priest (“Father”), “those two midgets” (Zeno and the Grand Priest, confirmed by the narration in ep 0021 00:28:47), Trunks, Freeza (narrator comparison)
Threads
- Resolved: Korn and the staff (Korn killed; Vegito keeps Whis’s staff)
- Advanced: The god-killer vow (now includes angels) · Whis’s staff · Zeno’s judgment · Who is the new God of Destruction?
- Opened: Angels’ “true Ultra Instinct” · Drawing out Zeno and the Grand Priest
Uncertainties
- 00:05:16 Korn’s words after “He continues muttering,” are missing from the transcript; Vegito’s reply 00:05:33 suggests Korn said Vegito “won’t get away with this” (inferred).
- “Those two midgets” 00:09:59: not named. Zeno and the Grand Priest: Korn has just invoked “Father”, the narration asks whether Vegito fears “the Grand Priest and Zeno” (00:09:17), and a later narration names them outright (ep 0021 00:28:47).
- “Only 10 gods remain” 00:12:00: conflicts with a new God of Destruction having been appointed (ep 0004 00:18:07); see retcons.
- Speaker attribution in the back-and-forth 00:07:07–00:09:02 is (inferred) from content (Korn objects, Vegito explains).
- unclear.
