Summary

Vegeta, now fused with Broly in a “new legendary form”, lands in Universe 6 before Champa and Vados, sent there by the robot’s last attack (ep 0204 00:00:52–00:01:27). Taking Champa for Beerus, he attacks; Champa explains he is Beerus’s older brother, and Vados says crossing universes without an angel is a major crime (ep 0204 00:01:45–00:04:56). Vegeta’s huge barrage hits nothing, and the two gods kick him into rubble (ep 0204 00:06:22–00:10:26). He rises in a green-tinted Legendary Super Saiyan form, beyond Super Saiyan Blue but mindless, lands a blow on Champa’s solar plexus, and dodges a Hakai, before Champa kicks him back to base (ep 0204 00:12:07–00:20:19). Vados notes his power is far beyond the King of Sadala’s; Champa decides to keep him (ep 0204 00:20:45–00:21:44). Champa offers to train him as Universe 6’s next God of Destruction — the only way back home — and Vegeta accepts (ep 0204 00:23:25–00:26:08). Over about two years, with Broly’s power inside him, he trains under Champa and Vados, befriends Cabba, Kale, Caulifla and Hit, and reaches an Ultra Ego form stronger than any seen (ep 0204 00:27:09–00:28:48). In a clash of Hakai he overpowers Champa, who survives and hands him the title (ep 0204 00:29:02–00:31:45). When Vegeta demands to go home to face Kakarot and make things right on Earth, Champa reveals what he found out: Goku died long ago, and Frieza won, found Earth and killed everyone there (ep 0204 00:32:05–00:36:44). With guilt and vengeance on his mind, God of Destruction Vegeta has a new goal (ep 0204 00:36:44–00:36:55).

Uncertainties

  • In ep 0203 Paragus and Broly take it that Frieza was beaten (00:04:27–00:04:33, 00:15:22); here Champa says Frieza won. This is a belief corrected, not a retcon (inferred).
  • How long the training took: “a few years” (00:27:09) vs “It’s been two years” (00:32:23).
  • Whether Broly still exists as a mind inside Vegeta isn’t said; narration says “with Broly inside him” (00:27:42).
