Summary

Ten years have passed with Vegito chained up alone Vegeta’s word is heard as “BOOM”, probably “Bulma” (inferred)) (ep 0004 00:00:53–00:03:24). A portal opens and Whis steps through (ep 0004 00:03:26–00:05:09). Vegito rages at him for doing nothing Whis explains he pleaded with his father the Grand Priest for ten years, that angelic law forbids excusing a god’s total destruction, and that Vegito’s attack erased Beerus outright, which is why there was no way to revive him (ep 0004 00:07:00–00:08:49). He adds that his powers stopped when Beerus died, and that only the Super Dragon Balls could revive someone erased — but they are scattered across Universes 6 and 7 and Zalama allows a wish only once every 1000 years (ep 0004 00:08:49–00:09:55). Angels may only act on their god’s say-so or to fix a god’s mistake that harms the universe Vegito’s case was neither, and Whis couldn’t have reacted in time anyway (ep 0004 00:11:01–00:12:31). Whis also explains Vegito can’t become a God of Destruction this way, and that angel-grade Potara can last forever but can be removed by the wearer (ep 0004 00:14:18–00:15:51). Whis then reveals the gods have become arrogant since Beerus’s death and recently destroyed “something very dear” to him with his powers restored after a new God of Destruction was appointed, he has come to free Vegito, knowing it will cost him his existence (ep 0004 00:17:51–00:21:09). He breaks the chains and is erased, leaving his staff behind (ep 0004 00:21:16–00:23:34). Vegito shaves with an energy blade and has the staff take him to Earth, but finds only empty space he can sense no one on Earth or New Namek (ep 0004 00:24:02–00:27:12). Realising the gods erased his home and friends, he explodes into a new, more muscular, browless powered-up state and vows to kill every god — the birth of “Ultra Vegito, the godkiller” (ep 0004 00:27:16–00:29:23).
