Summary

The halo fades and Vegito counts his rings: three with two lives and one with one — seven lives (ep 0041 00:00:45–00:01:40). A crushing headache follows: inside his mind, Mastered Ultra Instinct Goku now spars with Goku Black, who wants out; Goku asks Vegeta when they ever agreed to absorb Black (ep 0041 00:01:49–00:04:10). Vegeta privately admits that Vegito has for a while been making decisions on his own, as if his own person after more than ten years of unbroken existence — but he’ll let it be until the gods pay and Bulma is back (ep 0041 00:04:14–00:05:07). Outside, Vegito strikes his own temple and threatens to kill all three if they don’t settle down, silencing them (ep 0041 00:07:22–00:08:46). Needing to heal, he drops through a time portal to Kami’s lookout in the Cell saga of an alternate universe, takes a spare Saiyan armour and Goku’s bag of senzu beans, hints to Piccolo about an “orange” form, and leaves with “Good luck with Cell. Don’t let me down.” (ep 0041 00:09:14–00:16:42). Back in Universe 6 he eats three senzu at once and gets a long-overdue Zenkai boost from his many deaths and beatings, then has the staff take him to the next God of Destruction (ep 0041 00:16:48–00:19:03). In Universe 12, Giin, his angel Martinu and a Babidi-like wizard, “Ghibli”, are waiting; the wizard moves the battlefield to another dimension, where a huge metal box stands (ep 0041 00:19:10–00:24:08). Released from it, a chained young man, Gaiba, attacks Giin for killing his family — until the wizard seals his mind with a “G” mark like Babidi’s, and Giin tells him Vegito killed his clan (ep 0041 00:24:30–00:31:37). Vegito finds he can’t transform: Gaiba floors him and blasts him with a mouth beam, growing bigger with each attack, and Giin explains that in the wizard’s dimension “Transformations are forbidden” (ep 0041 00:32:35–00:38:29). Eyes closed, Vegito dodges Gaiba and strikes him, then combines two techniques into a new, crimson power-up with red Ultra Instinct eyes: “Ultra Kaioken” (ep 0041 00:39:35–00:42:47).

Key events

  • 00:01:22–00:01:40 “Four rings… Seven lives in total… would’ve been eight if I didn’t give Hit one”.
  • 00:01:49–00:02:21 A splitting headache; his body begins shutting down.
  • 00:02:43 Inside his mind: Ultra Instinct Goku vs Ultra Instinct Black.
  • 00:03:09–00:03:17 Goku: “Didn’t Zeno get rid of you?… I can’t believe you’re still using my body!”
  • 00:03:30–00:03:42 Black: “Your freak of a fusion, Vegito, is who brought me here!”
  • 00:04:07–00:04:10 Goku: “I thought we said we’d both be in charge of Vegito equally!”
  • 00:04:34–00:04:56 Vegeta (thinking): Vegito “has been making decisions on his own… as if he’s his own person”, having existed “uninterrupted for over 10 years”.
  • 00:05:02–00:05:07 Vegeta won’t act “Until those gods pay… And my Bulma is back”.
  • 00:06:19–00:07:14 Goku goes Mastered Ultra Instinct; Black does too — without his halo, which Vegito kept.
  • 00:07:34–00:07:45 Vegito, striking his temple: “Take it easy in there… or I will end up killing all of you!”
  • 00:08:13 Black (inside): “I knew I should have never joined with Kakarot!”
  • 00:08:58–00:09:09 After the fight with Cabba and the others he needs to heal and get new clothes.
  • 00:09:14–00:09:24 He drops through a time portal under his feet, like Black did.
  • 00:09:34–00:10:01 Kami’s lookout, “in a distant past”: Goku and young Gohan in Cell-saga outfits, “in this alternate universe”; Goku carries senzu.
  • 00:10:28–00:10:45 Goku: they’ll train outside for the last days before the Cell Games.
  • 00:12:17 Vegito walks out of the portal before Vegeta, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Goku and Gohan.
  • 00:12:32–00:12:47 “I’m just another protector, hoping to take a crack at Cell”; he asks for Bulma’s supplies.
  • 00:13:10–00:13:23 To Piccolo: spend one more day in the time chamber “And maybe unlock a new form… An orange one”.
  • 00:13:37–00:13:43 He picks up a spare Saiyan armour.
  • 00:14:18–00:14:30 To Goku: “You want to fight in that orange gi… Like an Earthling.”
  • 00:14:57–00:15:09 “It probably wouldn’t be wise to tell you… with Trunks over there having meddled with time already… You will learn everything in due time, Goku.”
  • 00:15:16–00:15:45 He snatches the senzu bag faster than Goku can see.
  • 00:16:04–00:16:07 “Good luck with Cell. Don’t let me down.”
  • 00:16:29–00:16:30 Gohan: “Did he say not to let him down?”
  • 00:16:48–00:17:11 Back in Universe 6, Vegito wears the Cell-saga Saiyan armour over his torn shirt — “That old girl sure knew how to make a set of armor”.
  • 00:17:21–00:17:31 He swallows three senzu at once.
  • 00:18:05–00:18:16 “a long overdue Zenkai boost from the multiple deaths and beating downs”.
  • 00:18:47–00:18:52 “I’m ready for the final gods!… Take me to the next god of destruction!”
  • 00:19:18–00:19:56 A destroyer’s planet in Universe 12: Giin, his angel Martinu and a Babidi-like wizard wait for him.
  • 00:20:49–00:20:56 Vegito wants the angel first, “so I can absorb him, before I absorb you”.
  • 00:21:31–00:21:41 Giin: “Beerus may have dropped the ball hard, allowing your kind to survive”.
  • 00:21:56–00:22:14 Giin: “Ghibli, let us begin”; the wizard: “May you be blessed by the power of Zeno”.
  • 00:22:39–00:23:05 “Location change”: the wizard’s spell moves the battlefield to a new place.
  • 00:23:48–00:24:02 A large metal box sits in the middle of the field.
  • 00:24:28–00:24:50 The three teleport miles away, to a mountaintop.
  • 00:25:21–00:25:56 “RELEASE!” — dark pink smoke, and the box bursts open.
  • 00:26:29–00:26:59 A young man: “I’m free!” — his arms still chained.
  • 00:27:12–00:27:52 He goes for Giin: “I’ll kill you for what you did to them! This is for my family!”
  • 00:28:17–00:28:26 His blow hurts Giin even through his guard.
  • 00:28:41–00:29:15 The wizard’s magic freezes him: “No… Not… Again!”
  • 00:29:35–00:29:52 “You’re taking over my mind!” — like Babidi’s control in the Buu saga.
  • 00:30:25–00:30:43 A mind-control seal on his forehead, like Majin Vegeta’s, Spopovich’s and Yamu’s — a “G”.
  • 00:31:06–00:31:37 Giin: “We are your family… We kept you alive all these years… The killer… Of your entire clan… Is… Vegito”.
  • 00:32:14–00:32:28 Vegito: “Whatever that fish face has told him… Then you can die”.

  • 00:34:57–00:35:05 Gaiba fires a huge beam from his mouth.
  • 00:36:15–00:36:19 Gaiba grows larger “as if growing in strength The more he attacks”.
  • 00:37:11–00:37:35 Giin: they have studied Saiyans’ transformations — “You even have a specific God-killer form”.
  • 00:37:52–00:38:01 The wizard moved Vegito “To an entirely different dimension… where I control the rules”.
  • 00:38:12–00:38:29 Giin: “In this dimension… Transformations are forbidden… Strength… And techniques… Only”.
  • 00:39:07–00:39:12 Giin: “Quickly Gaiba… Avenge your family”.
  • 00:39:36–00:40:11 Eyes closed, Vegito dodges and palms Gaiba in the chest.
  • 00:40:43–00:40:53 “I’ll rely on the two techniques I know… That will make up for them… Tenfold”.
  • 00:41:21–00:42:02 A red aura, crimson-tinged skin, a bulked body, and Ultra Instinct-like eyes, “Completely red”.
  • 00:42:09–00:42:11 “I call this… Ultra Kaioken”.
  • 00:42:34–00:42:38 Gaiba: “Ultra whatever… You… Will… Pay…”

Uncertainties

  • The Cell-saga visit is “in a distant past” of “this alternate universe” (00:09:40, 00:10:01) — not the Android-saga timeline of eps 0016–0027, where Cell had already killed most of the Z fighters (inferred).
  • The wizard’s name is heard “Ghibli”; it isn’t in the uploader’s description. Names spelled from the description: Giin, Martinu, Gaiba.
  • Gaiba’s backstory clashes with ep 0029, where Belmod said “Jin” murdered “the son” of the prodigy Gaiba — see retcons.
  • Vegeta’s thoughts (00:04:23–00:05:07) are his own, inside the mind space; Goku doesn’t hear them.
