Summary

Dai begs Zeno not to bargain with a demon possessed by Lucif, but Vegito laughs it off — “I am no Lucif! I am Vegito!” — topples Dai’s giant apparition with his second arm and crushes Dai’s hand in his demon claw (ep 0093 00:01:45–00:07:24). Dai’s chest triangle fires a point-blank beam that burns Vegito’s chest, which Buu’s power heals at once (ep 0093 00:07:59–00:10:03). Promised “a little green”, Zeno summons Zalama: a Namekian-looking god in a white hooded robe, who cowers before Zeno, then takes Vegito for Lucif and offers to fight him (ep 0093 00:11:40–00:17:27). Vegito asks for a wish on Zeno’s orders that takes effect only when the Grand Priest dies: every planet and mortal ever erased by the Gods of Destruction brought back (ep 0093 00:18:47–00:23:10). Zeno treats it as a game and agrees, on condition that Vegito then shows his final form; Dai protests in vain (ep 0093 00:19:50–00:22:14). Zalama warns that the Super Dragon Balls were used recently, at “that tournament”, and a wish before 1000 years would end him; he grants it anyway, says goodbye to Dai as a friend, and the great dragon rises out of Zalama’s own body (ep 0093 00:24:17–00:28:36). The dragon splits into two small dragons that coil round the hearts of Dai and Vegito, ready to tear apart the loser’s heart (ep 0093 00:29:22–00:30:29). As he fades for ever, Zalama raises a stone board with power-and-life bars for Vegito, Dai and Zeno; “when one reaches zero, Zeno’s game will be over” (ep 0093 00:31:31–00:32:49). Dai’s bar then shows double Vegito’s (ep 0093 00:34:01–00:34:12). Enraged by Zalama’s death, Dai takes a new form — bulging muscles, white spiked hair, blank eyes without his Seraphim — vows that only he can save the multiverse, and in an instant punches a hole through Vegito’s chest (ep 0093 00:35:42–00:43:07).

Key events

  • 00:01:45–00:02:00 Zeno hasn’t seen Zalama “in a long time”; is it because he’s green?
  • 00:02:22–00:02:40 Dai: “We gods cannot and do not negotiate with demons!… This creature has been taken over by Lucif himself!”
  • 00:03:29–00:04:17 Vegito: “I’m Son Goku, and Vegeta fused! I am Vegito!”; no new form until Zalama comes.
  • 00:04:27–00:05:49 He topples Dai’s “Seraphim clone” with one arm; it fades.
  • 00:06:46–00:07:24 Vegito’s demon hand crushes Dai’s fist.
  • 00:07:59–00:08:39 The triangle on Dai’s chest turns white and fires a beam point-blank.
  • 00:09:50–00:10:03 The burn on Vegito’s chest heals instantly — “the power of Buu inside him”.
  • 00:11:40 Vegito: “my new form may even have a little green!”
  • 00:12:11–00:12:17 Zeno: “Dragon God Zalama! Creator of the Super Dragon Balls! I summon you now!”
  • 00:13:14–00:13:41 Zalama: green skin with pink patches like a Namekian, a white hooded robe like Piccolo’s, meditating with a staff.
  • 00:14:50–00:15:15 He drops his staff in terror at the sight of Zeno: “What is it you desire my lord?”
  • 00:16:25–00:17:06 He takes Vegito for Lucif — “The great evil has returned!” — and readies to fight.
  • 00:17:59–00:18:31 Vegito: “I am no Lucif! I am Vegito!”; Zalama “couldn’t even make it into the 5 strongest”.
  • 00:18:47–00:18:56 The wish must be ordered by Zeno and activate “only, when the Dai Shinkan dies”.
  • 00:19:50–00:20:23 Zeno: “It’s kind of like a game!… I don’t like liars!”
  • 00:21:20–00:22:14 Dai: “I am your ancient attendant, And sworn protector!”; Zeno: “you’ve never lost a fight in your life”.
  • 00:22:52–00:23:10 The wish: every planet and mortal “Ever erased by the gods of destruction” brought back “The minute Dai dies!”
  • 00:24:17–00:24:38 Zalama: the Super Dragon Balls were used recently at “that tournament of yours”; 1000 years haven’t passed.
  • 00:26:03–00:26:08 Dai: Zeno doesn’t know what will happen to Zalama if he makes a second wish too soon.
  • 00:26:28–00:26:55 Zalama: “This will be my end, But I am happy, Goodbye, My friend”.
  • 00:27:16–00:27:22 “Great dragon, Arise early from your slumber, For the final time!”
  • 00:28:17–00:28:36 The great dragon emerges from Zalama himself.
  • 00:29:22–00:30:29 Two beams pierce the chests of Dai and Vegito; two miniature dragons coil round their hearts.
  • 00:30:50–00:31:21 Dai: “Zeno, What have you done”; Vegito: “Never have I loved you more, Zeno… I have something more, Than just revenge, To fight for”.
  • 00:31:31–00:32:07 A stone slab rises with three names — Vegito, Dai, Zeno — and bars.
  • 00:32:25–00:32:55 The fading Zalama: each bar is “power level, And life force”; at zero “Zeno’s, Game, Will be over”.
  • 00:33:38–00:34:12 Vegito asks why Dai and Zeno have no bars; then Dai’s appears — two bars.
  • 00:34:29–00:34:38 Vegito: if the board is wrong, “Who’s to say, He even got my wish right”.
  • 00:35:42–00:36:16 Dai, raging over Zalama’s loss: “This, Is, All your fault”; his body bulks, his eyes go blank, “Removing his seraphim”.
  • 00:37:33–00:37:51 His slicked-back hair blasts out spiked; a ball of energy surrounds him like Z’s barrier.
  • 00:38:58–00:39:47 Transformed — white hair, sharper wing, blank eyes: “The only one, Who can save the gods… Is me, You will pay, For slaughtering a god”.
  • 00:40:43–00:40:52 Vegito: “Looks like, I’m going to have, To make good, On that promise”.
  • 00:41:13–00:43:07 Dai moves like pure energy; Vegito is left with a hole in his chest, organs gone, “Perhaps… Including, His, Heart”.

Uncertainties

  • “Di”, “Die” and “die” are read as Dai (×21); “When I die?” (00:19:21) and “will die?” (00:23:18) are the word. “Xenom”, “Senno” and “Zen-o” are Zeno; “Salaam”, “the llama” and “damsel llama” are Zalama (likely).
  • 00:16:14 the narration says “Zeno would turn and look”, but it is Zalama who turns (likely).
  • Whether the wish is the one Vegito asked for is left open: the board reads oddly and Zalama spoke in “the great language of the gods” (00:27:34–00:27:43, 00:34:29–00:34:38).
  • The “tournament” the last wish was used at is presumably the Tournament of Power (inferred; not named).
  • Dai’s two bars are explained by the narration as “double the power” of Vegito (00:34:05–00:34:13); Zeno’s bar never appears.
  • “a ferocious N-E-G-B” (00:36:57) — what Dai’s aura resembles is unclear.
