Summary

In the GT timeline, Vegito wolfs down dinner at Goku’s home and praises a Chi-Chi who has no idea who he is; she mentions her two sons and her granddaughter Pan, now almost ready for high school, and Vegito quietly thinks of his own Pan, who is dead (ep 0012 00:01:10–00:02:24). GT Vegeta watches him with suspicion, but he also wants the black-and-purple power he saw, which no Super Saiyan form can explain (ep 0012 00:02:29–00:03:58). GT Goku takes Vegito outside alone, thanks him for beating Omega Shenron, then asks seriously why he came: his clothes are torn and he’s covered in blood that isn’t his, and Goku remembers Trunks coming back to warn them (ep 0012 00:04:30–00:08:58). Since Goku assumes he’s from this timeline’s future, Vegito plays along with a Future-Trunks-style tale: a warrior stronger than anyone killed Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo and destroyed everyone on Earth and New Namek so they could never be wished back, and he will arrive in about three years — “His name will be Monaka” (ep 0012 00:09:18–00:12:56). The narration makes clear the whole story is a deception, with Vegeta listening from behind a building (ep 0012 00:11:26, 00:12:56). What Vegito really wants is training: the Room of Spirit and Time is gone in his timeline but exists here, so he asks Goku and Vegeta to fuse into Gogeta and train with him for a year, and Vegeta jumps at the chance to learn his power (ep 0012 00:13:40–00:15:41). In the chamber the two go Super Saiyan 4 and fuse into Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, who can match Vegito’s base form; when Vegito powers up a little, dark flames appear alongside his lightning (ep 0012 00:17:07–00:20:28). Over the year, re-fusing every time the 30-minute fusion runs out, Gogeta reaches Ultra Instinct, and Vegito tells him to use that angels’ power to annihilate the coming threat (ep 0012 00:20:40–00:21:56). As the three leave the chamber, Vegito senses a divine presence: Beerus and his angel Whis are standing there, apparently waiting for them (ep 0012 00:22:29–00:23:58).

  • Seven “Vegito” mentions are read as GT Vegeta (00:05:45 [?], 00:14:12, 00:14:42, 00:14:57, 00:15:06, 00:15:31 [?], 00:16:42): Goku asks “you and Vegeta” to fuse, and Vegeta steps out of hiding and answers about sharing his body.
  • 00:13:07 The narration says “Vegito instantly is shell shocked”, but the reaction that follows (“Mo- Monaka? Who the hell is that?”) must be Goku’s (inferred).
  • Who is Monaka? The name is Vegito’s invention for the threat. His description (erased Earth and New Namek, killed Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo) matches what the eleven Gods of Destruction did in his own timeline (ep 0006 00:16:46–00:17:35), and the title says Gogeta is trained “to kill the gods”; “Monaka” is a cover for the gods, as the next episode shows when Vegito tells them GT Beerus is Monaka (ep 0013 00:06:46). In the source series Monaka is a joke character; whether that’s intended here is unknown.
