Episode 0047
Summary
Alone in the wasteland his power made — the Z fighters and Shin nowhere to be seen — Vegito marvels at Guts’s “pure” energy, stronger than any angel’s, and turns to the sword (ep 0047 00:02:02–00:04:24). To free the “demon emperor” inside, as the Z-Sword once freed the Elder Kai, he conjures a block of Katchin with Whis’s staff; the blade cuts it clean in half and the halves erase (ep 0047 00:04:59–00:09:04). Not even his near-full power bends it, so he decides it holds “some kind of weird seal”, throws it into a time portal for later and leaves through another, to finish off “what’s left” of the gods (ep 0047 00:10:22–00:15:15). Watching on a tablet, Zeno asks “Dai” whether Son Goku is now nearly as strong as him; the Grand Priest bristles, and Zeno, suddenly cold, warns him that if he ever ruins his fun behind his back again he will be sent “to the same place as your brother” — the terrified Grand Priest agrees to send the rest of the five (ep 0047 00:15:28–00:18:11). In Universe 5, Arak’s angel Cukatail reports that Giin has fallen and they are among the last three gods and angels; Arak refuses to drag mortal warriors in, and dismisses Vegito as a mortal — they faced worse in Lucif (ep 0047 00:18:11–00:19:48). Vegito steps out of a portal — “I’M NOT MORTAL ANYMORE!” — with a Cell tail on one arm and Buu goo on the other (ep 0047 00:19:57–00:21:11). His tail, striking through a time portal, pierces Cukatail’s forehead, drains him and drags him away; Arak’s blows don’t even hurt him (ep 0047 00:22:33–00:31:27). Arak binds him in his 2,000-year-old golden web, reveals Giin was his best friend, and fires a full-power Hakai — which only starts to erase Vegito’s hair (ep 0047 00:31:47–00:39:49). The Blade of Destruction flies in and beheads Arak; Vegito breaks the web, drains the head (“What pathetic energy!”) and erases him (ep 0047 00:40:05–00:42:30). Wondering if he could beat the Grand Priest yet, he calls the blade to him — and a long-coated swordsman knocks it out of the air (ep 0047 00:42:44–00:45:06).
Key events
- 00:02:30 The Z fighters and the Supreme Kai are “still nowhere to be seen”.
- 00:02:59–00:03:44 “So this is the kind of power the Grand Priest will have… This power is on a whole new level.”
- 00:04:24 “You did mention that even Zeno feared this blade, didn’t you?” (Guts said demons fear it, ep 0046 00:27:02).
- 00:06:26–00:06:39 The plan: Katchin, as with the Z-Sword and the Elder Kai.
- 00:06:57–00:07:17 Whis’s staff summons a block of Katchin.
- 00:08:52–00:09:04 The blade cuts the Katchin in half and both halves erase: “This thing can do what the Z-Sword couldn’t!”
- 00:10:34–00:13:08 Near-full power can’t bend the sword “even at the molecular level”.
- 00:14:11–00:14:49 “Probably some kind of weird seal”; he tosses the blade “into the unknown timeline” — “I’ll make use of you one day.”
- 00:15:02–00:15:15 “It’s finally time to get back to dismantling the gods… what’s left of them.”
- 00:15:40–00:16:03 Zeno: “He even beat that cool sword guy… Doesn’t that make him nearly as strong as you now, Dai?”
- 00:16:28–00:16:44 Grand Priest: “No, Zeno-sama. He isn’t quite on my level yet.”
- 00:17:12 Zeno: “You should really send the rest of the five strongest to fight him. Just like you did with Guts.”
- 00:17:26–00:17:39 “If you ever try to ruin my fun behind my back again. You will be sent to the same place as your brother.”
- 00:17:55–00:18:11 The Grand Priest, trembling: “I will send the rest of the five at once.”
- 00:18:33–00:19:02 Cukatail: “Lord Giin has now fallen too… one of the last three gods… one of the last three angels.”
- 00:19:26–00:19:48 Arak: “Unnecessary bloodshed is not what I desire… We have faced far worse in the past, with the likes of Lucif.”
- 00:20:33–00:21:02 “I’M NOT MORTAL ANYMORE!” — Cell tail on his left arm, Majin Buu goo on his right: “his tri-hybrid, android, Majin and Saiyan body”.
- 00:21:36 Arak: “What on earth was Beerus doing, allowing such a creature to thrive?”
- 00:23:06 “Attempting for the first time to absorb two divine entities at the same time.”
- 00:23:32–00:25:31 A Cell tail from a time portal pierces Cukatail’s forehead, drains him and drags him into the portal.
- 00:28:01–00:28:51 Vegito’s black eye brings Cukatail back as an apparition under his control.
- 00:31:10–00:31:27 “You now are as weak to me, as the millions of earthlings you murdered, were to you.”
- 00:31:36–00:31:47 Arak: such a warrior would have raised Universe 7’s “mortal level, far beyond the other universes”.
- 00:31:47–00:32:54 “Web of Arak!” — a golden web from his mouth and whiskers binds Vegito.
- 00:34:09–00:34:27 “This web is the 2,000 year old web of my being… strengthened by my energy for millennia.”
- 00:35:20–00:35:33 “I wanted to save this attack… to fight my best friend… You killed Giin!”
- 00:36:07–00:37:52 Arak’s Hakai engulfs Vegito, who was only pretending to scream: “this level of destruction is nothing to me now!”
- 00:39:36–00:39:49 At full power the Hakai only starts “erasing my hair”.
- 00:40:05–00:40:33 A slice across Arak’s neck — the Blade of Destruction beheads him.
- 00:40:49–00:41:00 Vegito breaks the web: he could have “at any time”.
- 00:41:28–00:41:54 He drains Arak’s head: “Compared to Guts [?], the energy of these gods and angels is disgusting!”
- 00:42:15–00:42:30 “HAKAI!” — Arak erased.
- 00:42:57–00:43:21 “Could I beat the Grand Priest as I am now?… I need more of the energy of the 5.”
- 00:43:49–00:44:48 Something metallic knocks the flying blade into the ground; a swordsman on one knee sheathes his sword — “an adult looking chance [?]” in a long coat.

Uncertainties
- The swordsman at the end is “an adult looking chance” in the transcript (00:44:45), with a long coat and hair “reminiscent of the cells [?]”. The story names him in the next episode: Trunks of the Time Patrol, from another timeline (ep 0048 00:02:09–00:06:27).
- What happened to the Buu-saga Z fighters in Vegito’s explosion is never settled (00:02:30); the Time Patrol’s Trunks says it may have killed them (ep 0048 00:06:34–00:08:01).
- How the blade came back to behead Arak isn’t explained (“it’s not quite clear where from”, 00:40:05); Vegito had sent it into another timeline (00:14:49).
- “Universe 5” is stated in the narration (00:18:22); that it is Vegito’s own timeline is inferred from Cukatail’s news of Giin.
- “the last three gods” (00:18:49) are Arak, Iwan and Mule — Iwan and Mule are the “two remaining gods of destruction” after him (ep 0049 00:43:02).
