Episode 0018 Title ULTRA Vegito Kills A Z Fighter Released 2022-04-01 Length 20:10 Watch YouTube ↗
Summary
Gero balks at being ordered to build an arm, but Vegito points out that his bleeding stump needs treating and that he just saved Gero’s life, so Gero owes him (ep 0018 00:01:24–00:02:15). Gero turns on 17, calls 18 the only android working as intended, and tells her to restrain her brother while he digs out the deactivation remote (ep 0018 00:02:24–00:04:21). 18 plays along, then snatches the remote exactly as in the original timeline and tells Gero it’s time he was “put to sleep” (ep 0018 00:04:55–00:07:44). Disgusted that the “greatest mind” was fooled the same way twice, and unwilling to lose his new arm, Vegito grabs 18’s wrist and Hakais her — the first time the word has been spoken in the Dragon Ball Z era, per the narration; she and the remote are erased (ep 0018 00:06:39–00:10:12). As if sensing his destined wife’s erasure, Krillin hears something and leads the Z fighters to the lab, where Vegeta, ignoring Future Trunks’s warnings, blasts the steel doors down (ep 0018 00:11:07–00:14:55). Gero despairs, pinning his last hope on “my dear Cell” (ep 0018 00:15:47–00:16:08). Vegito tells him that everyone else wants him dead and only he stands between Gero and them; he promises to deal with the fighters outside, and even make 17 “disappear”, in exchange for an indestructible arm with “certain upgrades” of his choosing, and Gero accepts (ep 0018 00:16:26–00:18:21). Vegito steps out into the sunlight to greet his “old friends, or should I say young”, and Trunks cries out that this isn’t one of the androids (ep 0018 00:18:43–00:19:36).
Key events
- 00:01:48–00:02:15 Vegito: stitch me up, and you owe me for saving your head.
- 00:02:39–00:02:48 Gero threatens to scrap 17 as a failed project; 17 dreads the capsule.
- 00:03:50–00:03:53 Gero: 17 is stronger than 18 in technique and ability, not physically.
- 00:04:10–00:04:21 The deactivation remote can shut down both androids.
- 00:06:03–00:06:07 18 snatches the remote, “just like in the original timeline”.
- 00:06:55–00:07:13 Vegito: “How do you let two toasters outsmart you?”
- 00:08:12–00:08:17 Vegito: Gero can’t control his puppets — “no different to the gods”, except Vegito will succeed in eliminating them.
- 00:08:28–00:08:37 “Krillin’s woman or not, I never even liked her”; payback for what she did to Vegeta’s [?] arm.
- 00:09:10–00:09:49 “Hakai!” — 18 turns to dust and is erased, with the remote (00:10:51).
- 00:10:02–00:10:12 Vegito: as an android she had no afterlife anyway.
- 00:10:56 17 can’t sense any trace of her.
- 00:11:09–00:11:31 Krillin senses something and points to the cave.
- 00:12:05 Vegeta calls Krillin “Baldy” and wants the “tin cans” to see his power.
- 00:12:20–00:12:30 Piccolo: they may be too late to stop the androids’ activation.
- 00:14:01–00:14:09 Future Trunks: if the androids are here, run and wait for Goku.
- 00:14:31–00:14:55 Vegeta blasts the lab doors down.
- 00:15:47–00:16:08 Gero: “My dear Cell, you’re my only hope”.
- 00:16:26–00:17:08 Vegito: two beings tried to kill Gero and he stopped both; he’s Gero’s only ally.
- 00:17:25–00:17:43 The deal: an indestructible arm with upgrades he sees fit; in return he handles the fighters outside and makes 17 disappear.
- 00:18:13–00:18:21 Gero accepts: “I need to live”.
- 00:19:13–00:19:17 Vegito: “Well hello, my old friends. Or should I say young”.
- 00:19:28–00:19:36 Trunks: “That isn’t 17 or 18… Who the hell is he?”

Uncertainties
- 00:08:37 “what she did to Vegito’s arm” is read as Vegeta’s arm (18 broke Vegeta’s arm in the source series) — marked [?] (inferred).
- 00:11:44 “four remaining Z fighters” vs 00:12:52 “the five Z fighters”: Krillin plus four. The fifth is named in ep 0019 as Tien (ep 0019 00:01:26).
- 00:15:33 “crawl out from underneath her” — probably “here”.
- 00:17:08 “Or do I leave you to the wall?” — probably “to the wolves”.
- Whether Vegito ever means to keep the promise to make 17 “disappear” is answered in ep 0019.
