Summary

Sword raised over the cut-down Vegito, the swordsman grants him his name — Guts, “First of the Five Strongest” — and says that with nine of the twelve universes left without gods or angels, the five strongest must stand in for them, while he and “the time patrol” fix the timelines Vegito has meddled with (ep 0046 00:00:44–00:04:13). When Vegito takes comfort that the Grand Priest is one of the five, Guts corrects him: the Daishinkan no longer is; Guts is the first and weakest, the other four are all stronger, and the Grand Priest is “even further beyond” (ep 0046 00:04:58–00:06:44). As he swings, the forgotten Buu surges up as pink goo; Guts leaps away and Buu engulfs Vegito’s body, parts and all (ep 0046 00:07:10–00:08:32). Sensing Vegito’s life fade, Guts leaves, though he never got the time rings (ep 0046 00:09:46–00:10:45). Buu reforms wearing Vegito’s gi and greater power; Shin despairs that not even Beerus could beat him now (ep 0046 00:11:07–00:13:14). Guts returns, but Buu says he only wants peace and food — then freezes as Vegito wakes inside him and takes over; Buu becomes a copy of Vegito, with no Majin mark: “now Buu is a part of me” (ep 0046 00:13:29–00:19:42). Cut in half again, Vegito regenerates like Buu and knocks Guts through the mountains (ep 0046 00:19:58–00:22:12). Calling himself “the most powerful Buu in history”, he stops Guts’s Blade of Destruction — home of “one of the legendary Demon Emperors” — with one finger and declares “NOW I TOO AM A DEMON!”; Guts fears he is “the second coming of Lucif” (ep 0046 00:24:44–00:30:22). Even Guts’s full power can’t touch him: Vegito catches the blade bare-handed, cuts off his sword arm, takes the sword and, crying “Blade of Destruction!”, cuts off Guts’s arms and legs, which erase (ep 0046 00:30:38–00:40:06). He drains Guts’s vast, ancient energy, snaps his neck, and his new power swells into a dome of light that swallows the island and the Z fighters (ep 0046 00:40:40–00:45:35).

Uncertainties

  • The last third of the transcript is in capitals names in it (“VEGETA”, “VEGETO”, “REGITO”, “DEGITO”) were corrected to Vegito.
  • Vegito keeps his time rings: Buu absorbed his severed hand with the rest of him (00:08:22) and Guts says he didn’t retrieve them (00:10:23); Z later erases “all four remaining time rings” from his hand (ep 0063 00:32:28–00:32:40).
  • The “devil-formed creature” behind Vegito (00:29:53) is described “Just like he did once before” — perhaps his Majin-like form of ep 0033 (inferred).
  • The dome of energy at the end (00:44:41–00:45:35) “almost appears” to be a self-destruction; what happens to the Z fighters isn’t shown; the Time Patrol’s Trunks later says only that the explosion may have killed them and that era’s Supreme Kai (ep 0048 00:06:34–00:08:01).
  • Guts calls Buu’s ki “ancient”, older than himself (00:09:13); whether this is Vegito’s absorbed god energy or Buu’s own isn’t said.
