Summary

Trapped in the Pyramid of Power, Jiren calls Vegito a treacherous animal; outside, Vegito explains his real aim — ten days is far from Jiren’s limit, and anger at Vegito will push him further, while the pyramid hides him from Zeno and the Grand Priest; the god-summoning button will let Vegito call him for the final battle (ep 0029 00:01:15–00:03:26). Wanting a full destroyer’s energy and answers to Belmod’s last words, Vegito opens a portal to find “another” Belmod in a different timeline (ep 0029 00:03:36–00:05:12). He arrives in the past, above a primitive village where the child Jiren trains under his green-skinned master, Gicchin (ep 0029 00:05:13–00:07:57). A hooded Belmod appears in the sky to begin “the ritual of the divine” on young Jiren’s village; Vegito takes him away by Instant Transmission — startling a young Toppo, who runs for his mother (ep 0029 00:08:38–00:11:40). Belmod is shaken that a stranger knows his name and his plan, which not even Marcarita knows; his Hakai cards miss as Vegito dodges with mastered Ultra Instinct, and he trips and is caught at blade-point (ep 0029 00:11:56–00:19:27). Belmod then explains: destroyers and Supreme Kais keep up their universes’ “mortal levels”, destroyers may be pitted against each other for the Omni-King’s amusement with the loser’s universe erased, and so every destroyer makes candidates by killing a gifted child’s family and friends — chosen through an oracle fish (ep 0029 00:20:19–00:23:56). He went through it himself (his wife), names Quitela (who erased Ganos’s whole species) and “Jin” (who killed the son of a prodigy, “Gaiba”) as other examples, and adds that Beerus is to have Frieza destroy a fighting race’s planet, sparing only its prince as his candidate (ep 0029 00:24:38–00:26:26). Realising Beerus was behind Planet Vegeta’s destruction and that he (Vegeta) was chosen from the start, Vegito breaks down while Belmod sneers at Saiyans as “tailed dumb apes” (ep 0029 00:26:46–00:28:46). Declaring that Beerus and all the gods are the same, he chokes Belmod and drains him dead with his android arm, then weeps with rage and roars the name of the god he spent ten years regretting killing (ep 0029 00:29:11–00:31:53). Sensing the dark energy, Gicchin sends young Jiren inside and goes to face him (ep 0029 00:31:55–00:32:29).

Uncertainties

  • The name Vegito roars at 00:31:30–00:31:53 isn’t in the transcript; the narration (“the god… He spent 10 years Regretting that he had killed”) and the outro’s “#Beerus” point to Beerus (inferred).
  • How he opened the portal (00:04:46–00:04:50) isn’t said; probably a time ring, as before (inferred). Which timeline he reached is only “a different one”; it is a past of Universe 11 (inferred: Belmod names “the 11th universe”, 00:12:48).
  • Everything about the ritual, Quitela, “Jin”, “Gaiba” and Beerus is Belmod’s account — another timeline’s Belmod — and the Beerus part is hearsay (“last I heard”). Vegito believes it.
  • “Jin” (00:25:32) is Giin, Universe 12’s God of Destruction — the same heard name as Giin from ep 0040 00:37:36 on; compare “next to Jin” in ep 0010 00:20:59 (see threads). “Gaiba” is spelled as the uploader later confirms (ep 0041); “Harley” is as heard.
  • At 00:27:13 the transcript reads “Vegeta, I, I, I was chosen…” — perhaps Vegeta’s half speaking inside Vegito (unclear); the narration at 00:28:54 is corrected to Vegito [?].
  • The landing lines at 00:05:13–00:05:24 repeat: one event.
