Summary

As Vegito reels at Jiren becoming a God of Destruction, Belmod — “the former God of Destruction” — appears behind them, calls Vegito heartless and says Marcarita gave Jiren “the complete rundown” of his killings (ep 0026 00:01:22–00:03:41). Believing Jiren knows everything and still sided with the gods, Vegito doubts his whole cause; his giant aura fades and he sinks to the ground in silence (ep 0026 00:03:46–00:05:40). Furious at his surrender, Jiren brings his giant’s fist down on him, sees blood under it and delivers a solemn farewell (ep 0026 00:05:50–00:09:05). Then a ball of energy slams Jiren to the ground: Vegito, untouched, sits on him with a hand round his throat — at the moment of the punch he had swapped himself with Belmod, who lies crushed under the fist (ep 0026 00:09:09–00:14:37). When Jiren calls the gods innocent, Vegito realises Marcarita lied; Jiren invites the absorber, but Vegito instead touches his forehead and passes him his own memories of the last ten years — Beerus’s challenge, the gods erasing everything Goku and Vegeta loved, the decade in chains (ep 0026 00:15:24–00:20:00). For the first time Jiren calls him “Vegito”, and demands one of his five remaining time rings to see the truth for himself (ep 0026 00:20:23–00:23:18). Vegito trusts him with one, and Jiren steps through a portal (ep 0026 00:23:38–00:25:03). About 30 minutes later, as Belmod gets up, Jiren returns smiling: he went back to the night his village was slaughtered as a child — his friends, family and master — and found Belmod behind it (ep 0026 00:25:13–00:27:56). Belmod, trembling, starts to explain; Jiren erases him and declares his clan avenged, leaving Vegito stunned (ep 0026 00:27:59–00:29:54).

  • Jiren’s last line breaks off there.
  • What Jiren shouts at 00:28:48 is heard as “Soar!”; the narration says he roars “the deadly words” and Belmod is “erased to complete nothingness” — a Hakai (inferred).
  • Belmod dies, but who kills him is Jiren, not Vegito, despite the title.
  • The time ring’s return isn’t shown here; Jiren throws it back to Vegito in ep 0028 00:11:44–00:11:55.
  • “Five remaining time rings” (00:22:17) is the first count since the arm was lost. See time-rings.
