Episode 0089 Title The Grand Priest Meets ULTRA Vegito’s New Form Released 2023-07-08 Length 48:14 Setting Zeno’s dimension Watch YouTube ↗
Summary
Only the charred remains of Vegito’s body lie before the Grand Priest, who muses that Lucif’s attempt was futile while Vegito refused to give in to him fully; Zeno bawls that Dai “won too fast” (ep 0089 00:00:59–00:04:04). Goku and Vegeta, sensing Vegito’s life force gone, despair over their lost families, then explode in rage: Goku reaches his full Super Saiyan 2 Seraphim form with both wings, and Vegeta his final true-demon-of-destruction form with two black wings, horns and Hakaishin symbols (ep 0089 00:04:11–00:09:12). The destroyer Goku says his “Master” trained him for the moment he would face the god killer, but Vegeta knocks him out from behind before he can show it (ep 0089 00:10:01–00:12:17). Goku drops a giant Dragon Smite on Z and S through a portal and joins Vegeta against Dai (ep 0089 00:12:29–00:17:32). An unseen hand grabs Dai’s wrist and pulls his arm back, letting both Saiyans hit his face; red eyes open behind Z, whose kick sends him into S; and Dai’s kick is stopped by an invisible wall (ep 0089 00:20:27–00:27:20). Dai powers up to show the true gap, then fires a “Divine Smite” — which a black, shadowy figure soccer-kicks into the sky (ep 0089 00:28:22–00:34:14). It is Vegito in his true demon form, alive (ep 0089 00:35:57–00:37:00). He shows the last time ring, which Hit slipped him in their handshake: it has revived him and now crumbles away (ep 0089 00:38:25–00:41:57). Dai, who had Z destroy the rings, rails at the “higher gods” and their devices and names Hit “the student of Chronoa” (ep 0089 00:39:42–00:42:47). Vegito explains the ring’s second use: Lucif had been taking over since the pyramid, and Dai’s smite knocked him back down into Vegito’s subconscious — where Lucif is shown chained, promising Vegito will need his power again (ep 0089 00:43:14–00:44:25). Relieved to face only “the true god killer”, Dai laughs; Vegito tells Goku and Vegeta that “daddy’s back” and to finish their opponents and join him (ep 0089 00:44:40–00:46:51).

- 00:23:32–00:24:33 Z trembles at a presence behind him — two blood-red eyes in the dark; a kick sends him into S.
- 00:24:55–00:25:05 Dai: “who or what pulled my arm back like that, so easily. Was it Zeno?”

- 00:30:17–00:30:23 Vegeta: “I think we always needed Vegito after all! We’re done for!”
- 00:30:45–00:30:59 Dai: “colluders with Lucif himself… will not work a third time.”
- 00:31:11–00:31:24 His fingertips form a triangle below the triangle on his chest.
- 00:32:05–00:32:22 “Divine Smite!” — cyan eyes and forehead symbol glowing.
- 00:32:26–00:33:46 Time slows; tears run down Vegeta’s face; “The story of the god killer has reached its conclusion”.
- 00:33:56–00:34:14 A solid black figure soccer-kicks the smite into the sky.
- 00:34:24–00:34:28 “Someone has returned, but it may not exactly be, LUCIF.”

- 00:37:33–00:38:00 Zeno, in tears of joy: “Vegito is back! This is the best show ever Dai!”
- 00:38:17–00:39:07 “an old classic trick of mine… Behold, the erasure of the last time ring in the multiverse!”
- 00:39:13–00:39:34 A ring lets him “cheat death, any death, twice”; this one had one life left.
- 00:39:42–00:40:37 Dai ordered his student Z to destroy the rings; Z remembers smiting them: “unless, he was always hiding one!”
- 00:41:07–00:41:57 Vegito: he lent Hit a ring in their fight to learn its secrets, forgot it over the decades in the pyramid, and Hit returned it “within his palm [?]” in their handshake.
- 00:42:07–00:42:47 Dai: “HIT! THE STUDENT OF CHRONOA!… These damn higher gods polluting our realms with their devices. I was always against the creation of these time rings.”
- 00:43:14–00:43:57 The ring’s second use: “to reset me back to my true self… that damn devil Lucif was increasingly taking over my body ever since the pyramid”; Dai’s smite knocked Lucif “back down… into my subconsciousness”.
- 00:44:03–00:44:25 Lucif, red-eyed, chained and screaming: “Vegito, you will need my power again. Mark my words [?].”
- 00:44:40–00:45:47 Dai, relieved: now he faces “the true god killer… a demon several times weaker”; Saiyan pride was always their downfall.
- 00:46:14–00:46:51 Vegito: “Sorry if I worried you two. But daddy’s back… Finish your opponents off now, and join me”.

Uncertainties
- Seven lines say “Vegeta” for the lost Vegito (00:04:07–00:16:58); corrected as likely.
- Who grabbed Dai’s wrist, stopped his kick and kicked Z is never said; it fits Vegito, invisible before he shows himself kicking the Divine Smite away (00:34:08, 00:36:12) (inferred).
- What the destroyer’s “Master” taught him to “finally use” is cut off (00:10:14–00:10:22).
- Dai calls the time rings the devices of “higher gods” (00:42:30); Makoto had called them the rings “Of the lowly kais” (ep 0073). See retcons.
- “Mark my way” (00:44:25) is read as “Mark my words” (likely).
