Summary

Cornered in the cave, Vegito reckons the angels’ staffs can always find him and that, drained and bleeding, he’s outmatched (ep 0016 00:01:01–00:01:52). He throws a feeble-looking beam that swerves into the cave roof and brings it down on Kusu and Mohito, then Instant Transmissions to his severed arm, still floating intact in space with its rings (ep 0016 00:02:04–00:04:46). Before he can take it, a huge beam from the planet sweeps past him and reduces the arm and its rings to dust; Mohito fired it (ep 0016 00:05:07–00:08:43). Mohito gloats that one-armed Vegito is just a Universe 7 lowlife now, but Kusu warns he has been holding back the form he used on Rumsshi and the Supreme Kais, which she watched on her staff (ep 0016 00:09:21–00:10:24). Vegito powers up to his Ultra form — Goku’s mastered Ultra Instinct with Vegeta’s perfected Ultra Ego, purple-streaked hair and black flames — and gathers an enormous ball of Hakai above the planet (ep 0016 00:10:43–00:12:36). Mohito insists it’s a bluff, since Vegito raged at Sidra for erasing Basil’s planet; then he realises this planet has no life on it, and wonders whether they were lured there (ep 0016 00:13:04–00:14:37). “I am the god-killer! Hakai!”: a one-handed planetary Hakai erases both angels and then the planet (ep 0016 00:14:40–00:16:36). Ashamed that two angels cost him so much, and unable to make Whis’s staff heal him, Vegito uses his remaining time rings to go “back to Universe 7” (ep 0016 00:16:48–00:17:33). He lands in a cave full of technology and thinks the rings misfired (ep 0016 00:18:01–00:18:31). It is Dr. Gero’s lab in the Android saga: the damaged Gero hurries in to activate 17 and 18, and turns to find the bleeding stranger standing in his lab (ep 0016 00:18:51–00:20:43).

Key events

  • 00:01:29–00:01:40 Vegito: each angel’s staff can probably tell where he is; he’s completely outmatched.
  • 00:02:04–00:03:30 A weak beam swerves into the cave ceiling; the cave collapses on the angels.
  • 00:03:43–00:04:18 Instant Transmission, locked on to energy traces left at his arm.
  • 00:04:30–00:04:46 “Gimme those rings!” — the arm is in perfect condition in airless space; it can be reattached.
  • 00:05:07–00:06:02 A massive energy beam engulfs him but passes by.
  • 00:06:42–00:06:52 The arm and “the many rings that were on them” are dust.
  • 00:08:32–00:08:43 Mohito, palm smoking, fired the beam.
  • 00:09:14 Kusu: “with him being a cripple now”.
  • 00:09:33–00:09:42 Mohito: “back to being nothing more than a Universe 7 lowlife”; “a shame we had to destroy a time ring”.
  • 00:10:02–00:10:12 Kusu: this isn’t the form he used against Rumsshi and the Supreme Kais; she watched it all on her staff.
  • 00:10:43 Vegito: “I don’t even need a second arm to destroy you brats!”
  • 00:10:59–00:11:15 His Ultra form: Goku’s mastered Ultra Instinct plus Vegeta’s perfected Ultra Ego; no eyebrows [?], dark purple streaks in his hair, black flames.
  • 00:11:31–00:11:45 He hates doing what a God of Destruction does, copying what Sidra did to him.
  • 00:12:26–00:12:32 A huge ball of Hakai energy, bigger than himself.
  • 00:13:16–00:13:39 Mohito: a bluff — Vegito screamed at Sidra for erasing Basil’s planet.
  • 00:14:09–00:14:37 No life force on the planet; “Did he lure us here?”
  • 00:14:40–00:14:44 “I… Am… The… God-killer! Hakai!”
  • 00:14:50 A one-handed Hakai, like Teen Gohan’s [?] one-handed Kamehameha.
  • 00:15:44 Kusu: “It’s over, dear brother…”
  • 00:16:01–00:16:11 Kusu and Mohito turn to dust, “just two more gods” to fall.
  • 00:16:28 The planet vanishes.
  • 00:17:05 “I have no control over Whis’ staff to be able to heal myself”.
  • 00:17:22–00:17:39 He uses his remaining time rings: “Take me back to Universe 7!”
  • 00:18:22–00:18:31 “These time rings must have malfunctioned… Is this some kind of far future?!”
  • 00:18:58–00:19:02 A damaged Dr. Gero, “Aka Android 20”.
  • 00:19:31 Gero: “I win this time Goku…”
  • 00:19:50–00:20:07 He’ll activate 17 and 18; 16 is untested and might be too strong to control.
  • 00:20:33–00:20:43 Gero finds Vegito in his lab: “Who are you?”

Uncertainties

  • 00:06:52 vs 00:09:38: “the many rings” on the arm, but Mohito speaks of destroying “a time ring”. How many rings Vegito has left isn’t said. See retcons.
  • 00:17:29: he asked for Universe 7 and got the Android saga. He himself wonders about “some kind of far future” (00:18:31); it is a separate timeline — his ring portal later takes him “back to his timeline” (ep 0020 00:29:53–00:30:03), and the Time Patrol’s Trunks counts the harm done there among the timelines Vegito damaged (ep 0048 00:06:34–00:08:01).
  • 00:11:09 “Losing his eyebrows” [?] (heard “Using”); 00:07:03 “fused Saiyan” [?] (heard “few Saiyan”).
  • 00:16:11: the narration calls the two angels “two more gods”.
  • He still has Whis’s staff after dropping it in ep 0014 00:08:36: 00:17:05 says it can’t heal him, and he summons it with a snap of his fingers in ep 0020 00:29:25–00:29:36.
