Summary
In the Android-saga timeline that Vegito left behind, Goku finally wakes from the heart virus at home, with Chi-Chi and Yamcha at his side (ep 0023 00:01:04–00:03:16). They tell him the battle is over and Gohan is dead; learning that his son, his friends and even the Dragon Balls are gone, Goku explodes with a power beyond Super Saiyan in his base form, wrapped in a strange, ominous electricity that the narration likens to Ultra Vegito’s [?] (ep 0023 00:04:41–00:06:06). The surge reaches across space and wakes Beerus nearly a decade early (ep 0023 00:06:14–00:06:43). As in the original story, Beerus speaks of his dream of a Super Saiyan God, and Whis searches his staff — finding Ultra Instinct Imperfect Cell, a creature with Ultra Instinct and Hakai that has erased Earth’s former Namekian god and killed every Saiyan but one (ep 0023 00:07:03–00:11:28). Whis, who has never visited Earth with any God of Destruction, suspects another universe’s deities or someone tampering with time, and thinks of asking Gowasu whether new time rings exist (ep 0023 00:12:07–00:12:38). Beerus decides the last Saiyan may be his Super Saiyan God and the two appear in Goku’s house; Goku, thinking Beerus is Cell, attacks as a Super Saiyan and is stopped without Beerus moving (ep 0023 00:13:25–00:17:28). They take Goku to Beerus’s planet and offer him a deal: training in destruction and Ultra Instinct, and the Super Dragon Balls to revive the erased, if he agrees to become Beerus’s successor as God of Destruction (ep 0023 00:18:17–00:22:17). Goku accepts for his friends, family and son (ep 0023 00:22:58–00:23:07). After 14 years in the Pyramid of Power — seven days outside — he steps out in a God of Destruction’s clothes, ready to return to Earth (ep 0023 00:23:12–00:25:07).
