Summary

Vegito has spent more than twenty years in the pyramid, while no more than ten days passed outside; he comes out with glowing red eyes and red lightning (ep 0084 00:01:06–00:01:37). The others notice he isn’t himself: he calls Goku “Son Goku” instead of Kakarot, names Dark before anyone has told him the name, and Vegeta senses only bloodlust and wonders whether this is Lucif (ep 0084 00:02:42–00:03:46, 00:09:39–00:09:56). Dark’s blast, which Vegito dodges with a tilt of his head, wipes out the Pyramid of Power; Vegito says he never meant to use it again (ep 0084 00:11:01–00:13:13). Dark blasts his head point-blank, then cuts off his arm in a newly powered-up form with longer hair and white halo eyes; Vegito smiles at his own blood, reattaches the arm with Buu’s powers and calls the body “Maybe my greatest vessel yet” (ep 0084 00:15:08–00:25:31). Dark suspects Lucif has corrupted this mortal more than he thought, and wonders why Zeno and Dai let him train so long (ep 0084 00:25:42–00:26:13). Still in base form, Vegito outfights him: the God Slayer blade cuts through Light’s shield for the first time, and Vegito leaves him beaten on the ground, foot on his chest — “I don’t quite think the grand priest would be this weak” (ep 0084 00:26:45–00:37:58). He has Gogeta form again, copies the Stardust Breaker at a glance, and presses it to Dark’s face, stripping Dark away to leave Light (ep 0084 00:38:54–00:42:04). Asked about the Priest and Zeno, Light spits blood in his face, and Vegito drains him dead; then he drains Makoto, who had been playing dead (ep 0084 00:42:15–00:44:57). Now holding the power of all twelve destroyers, eleven angels and all five of the strongest, Vegito tells the others that Zeno’s and the Grand Priest’s reign ends here, and six Saiyans walk off toward the final battle (ep 0084 00:45:11–00:46:12).

Uncertainties

  • It might be Vegito starting to say “Lucif” and switching to “Vegito” — which would fit the other hints that something else is speaking through him — or just a garble (unclear).
  • Who is speaking through Vegito is never stated. The hints: “Son Goku”, knowing Dark’s name, “Father would be proud” [?], “my greatest vessel yet”, “I’m still in prison. But not for long”, “I’ve fought him before” (the Grand Priest), and Dark’s and Vegeta’s suspicions of Lucif. It is Lucif, who speaks openly through Vegito two episodes later — “Hey brother” (ep 0086 00:39:36–00:40:16; ep 0087 00:01:42).
  • “Father would be proud” (00:20:41) follows “You sure you aren’t really a Saiyan duck?” — read as “a Saiyan, Dark” (likely); whose father is meant is unclear.
  • The “six legendary Saiyans” (00:45:57) aren’t listed; probably Vegito, Seraphim Goku, Vegeta, Yamoshi, Broly and Gogeta (inferred). Goku Black and Frieza aren’t mentioned.
  • Gogeta fuses again although he had just defused; the narration says “some time would pass” first (00:39:20).
