Overview

The elder brother of the Grand Priest (Dai), son of the angel Rani and — as he learns late — of the Elder God Akobel, banished to the demon realm thousands of years ago by Zeno and Dai with the help of Zeno’s two guards (ep 0087 00:05:35–00:06:22, 00:09:44–00:09:46; ep 0149 00:34:38–00:34:58; ep 0175 00:25:03–00:33:13). There he rose to rule as “the true devil” (ep 0087 00:19:46–00:20:04). Long feared as a name only, he spoke and fought through Ultra Vegito’s body — perhaps his “greatest vessel yet” — and then Vegeta’s (ep 0084 00:25:15–00:25:22; ep 0087 00:01:42–00:03:21; ep 0096 00:03:36), until he rose in his own body, took Zeno’s throne as Omni King, loosed demons on every planet and merged the realms to become the Omni Devil (ep 0102 00:31:56–00:53:09; ep 0169 00:25:16–00:34:12; ep 0170 00:01:44–00:02:14). Beaten by Vegito, he was remade by his father as Archangel Lucif, killed Jiren and fought Vegito across timelines (ep 0174 00:16:35–00:40:00; ep 0175; ep 0180 00:15:32–00:33:02; ep 0181–0184). As of his last appearances he fights for Akobel in the Elder Gods’ tournament: he won Round 5, then, in Round 11, regained his devil self as “OG Lucif” and drew with Genesis before leaving with his father (ep 0218 00:04:58–00:19:45; ep 0244 00:41:58–00:43:51; ep 0246 00:01:30–00:03:02, 00:23:00–00:23:06).

Affiliations & relationships

Abilities / traits

  • The source of all demon power: “all demon powers, small and great, come from one entity” (Broly, ep 0066 00:39:48–00:42:31); god killers who use it bring his return closer (see demon-fate).
  • Says god killers rarely live long or grow strong enough to bridge the demon and mortal realms; the Saiyans’ evil origins and limitless bodies make them “Perfect… For a limitless power… Such as mine” (ep 0087 00:04:09–00:05:06).
  • Blood-red eyes with a demonic slit (ep 0087 00:01:56); a blood-red aura and electricity (ep 0087 00:18:59–00:19:05); uses Vegito’s God Slayer blade (ep 0087 00:22:01–00:22:05).
  • Dai: in a mortal body “he will never truly be able to unleash his full power” (ep 0087 00:42:32–00:42:42).
  • Dai: Vegito “does not desire to give you full control”; Lucif agrees Vegito “hasn’t allowed me to let loose completely just yet” (ep 0088 00:02:37–00:03:15). He taught Dai as a boy (ep 0088 00:38:47–00:38:50).
  • ep 0092: a blood-red energy scythe, “brother’s move” (ep 0092 00:34:08–00:34:38); Dai calls him “the one true devil” (ep 0092 00:32:33–00:32:41).
  • ep 0095: his body spreads over his vessel from within — “The vessel exchange has begun!… This is irreversible!” (Dai, 00:03:13–00:03:31); the vessel can’t return to base (00:06:42–00:06:55).
  • ep 0096: speaks and fights through Vegeta; a third demon eye; black-and-red energy, an arm cannon, a four-horned shield, a horn torn out as a blade (00:09:16–00:36:30). Dai: he was “a total disgrace to all of Angelkind”; his energy “began as an angel” (00:13:08, 00:32:56).
  • ep 0097: black lightning called down from the sky; disguised as a bolt (00:07:51–00:10:59).
  • ep 0101: speaks inside Dai’s mind as well as Vegito’s — “I exist, now within both you and him!” (00:15:24–00:15:35).
  • ep 0102: his own body: two horns, two demon eyes, lesser eyes all over, a palm with an eye in it (00:32:39–00:33:22, 00:50:30–00:50:36); designed Zeno’s new throne and the two demon guards (00:42:28–00:42:36); fires beams that bring demon armies to every planet (00:44:13–00:47:52); opens portals to the demon realm (00:50:58–00:51:42).

  • ep 0174: learns the “Lucif Vegito” was Vegito in disguise; his divine armour cracks under one punch; buried by beams and a Kamehameha; taps his devil side (horns, devil wings, red eyes) but a knee and a double kick break him and he sinks unconscious in a sea (00:16:35–00:40:00). His thoughts: “I should have never gone down this path” (00:40:16). A voice calling him “My son” wakes a cyan completed Seraphim (00:41:12–00:42:27). Castiel calls him his nephew, son of an Elder God (00:06:39–00:06:47).

  • ep 0176: as Archangel Lucif, says he hid the Elder Gods from Vegito and merged the realms to draw out this multiverse’s creator; now calls vengeance a mistake (00:03:17–00:07:48). His Akobel eye swaps places with Vegito twice; a wing of divine armour blocks his blast; he erases Vegito with a touch, “Elder Erasure” (heard “Elder Aurasia”; named plainly in ep 0177 00:25:37–00:25:38) (00:14:22–00:39:11).
  • ep 0177: tells the three survivors to choose death by violence or erasure; shrugs off Vegeta and Trunks’s Super Saiyan 3 attacks and binds them for “Elder Erasure”, but Vegito snatches them; shocked that Vegito survived, suspects Chronoa gave him time rings (00:14:23–00:29:59).
  • ep 0178: his swap is countered; burns Vegito with divine lightning; escapes Vegito’s draining thorns with his eye; claims the blows hurt less each time; summons his Elder Hieroglyph and an Army of Light whose arrows engulf Vegito (00:03:39–00:34:30).
  • ep 0179: enraged to see Dai and Rani as Vegito’s apparitions; his power-up kills some of his own angels; he becomes pure light, beheads the Beerus apparition and erases Dai and Rani after they beg him to save them, weeping for the first time; gains a second Akobel eye and vows to “erase everything that exists here” (00:15:08–00:39:52).
  • ep 0180: tries to erase the whole multiverse but Hera, its creator, stops him and threatens his life (00:04:02–00:14:21); outclasses Vegito in power and speed, swaps him into his own Spirit Bomb, and cuts Jiren in half — “Worthless nobody” (00:15:32–00:33:02); blasted away by Vegito’s fury; his hieroglyph strikes Vegito’s dome in vain (00:35:28–00:40:22).
  • ep 0181: mocks Vegito’s bulky form, is beaten by it, then adapts and mimics it; returns to his slim form so his father won’t see him “like this”; taken through a portal and impaled on a spike at the Cell Games, swaps out with his eye (00:02:03–00:36:28).
  • ep 0182: dragged through timelines; turns Cell’s beam on Cell; loses a wing to Vegito’s blade and wields it as a sword; his death ball, deflected by Vegito, kills Gomah; says the rings are an Elder God’s craftsmanship and wins most exchanges, slamming Vegito down (00:07:17–00:38:56).
  • ep 0183: horrified by Vegito’s clone harvest — “you truly fit the crown of devil far better than any who came before you, including me”; looks to the sky for the Elder God of time, who doesn’t come (00:23:05–00:36:06).
  • ep 0184: can’t see Vegito’s moves; blasted flat; his own swap puts his hand through his chest; pinned to a rock face (00:05:20–00:26:28); healed and empowered by his father’s energy — “the power of my father!” — fights Vegito evenly, then with Akobel’s apparition behind him overpowers him: “My father’s kill!” (00:26:43–00:40:46).
  • ep 0185: pulled away by Akobel, who says he gave him only “a single percent of my power” and now means to kill him as evidence; Hera’s voice stops him (00:10:51–00:17:04).
  • ep 0186: watches the Elder Gods fight his father, awed — “This is the kind of power… Father really had”; starts to power up to help, but Castiel stops him (00:24:06–00:26:01).
  • ep 0187: present as Zeus rules on the tournament; his father must win or be destroyed (00:29:06–00:38:07).

  • ep 0216: beats god-killer Broly’s clones, smashes him into the wall and fires the Elder Erasure; Broly escapes it and headbutts him (00:12:56–00:30:26).
  • ep 0217: overpowered by god-killer Broly’s Oozaru apparition, he strips off his limiting armour and mask, tears out Broly’s Arc Saiyan eyes and kills him (00:08:56–00:34:27).
  • ep 0218: wins Round 5; vows to make up for “That embarrassing loss I faced without father’s help”; faces Ultra Vegito and Hera on the stage, claims to be Hera’s equal, and exposes Vegito’s theft of Broly’s body (00:04:58–00:19:45).
  • ep 0225: spars with Omad at Akobel’s grounds, using a portal from his Archangel eye; Akobel will train him and bring out “the devils within” (00:24:55–00:32:13).
  • ep 0233: back in full armour, knocks Omad across a sea with his red and cyan eyes; vows his father will never be disappointed in him again; on hearing “Vegito” from Vyrex he thinks of Ultra Vegito and flies off in a rage (00:20:49–00:25:23).
  • ep 0243: called by Akobel for Round 11, match 2, in repaired armour without the helmet; calls Zeus “grandfather”; faces Genesis (00:33:55–00:37:21).
  • ep 0244: fights Genesis in Round 11 — Elder-God Hakai, exploding self-apparitions, a place swap, feather barrage and Triple Elder Erasure, all beaten by Prime Zeus’s lightning; with Akobel’s blessing he destroys his archangel eye and returns as the “OG Lucif” with the Devil Gene (00:14:28–00:43:51).
  • ep 0245: in the Devil Gene state, takes Genesis into the demon realm; space-time portals, demon arms, cyan third-eye beam, claws and a demonic spirit bomb; fights Genesis to exhaustion; vows to kill him or die until Akobel stops him (00:02:32–00:38:16).
  • ep 0246: stopped by Akobel, who calls him his “tool”; leaves with Akobel after the draw (00:01:30–00:03:02, 00:23:00–00:23:06).
  • ep 0247 00:00:23: (mentioned) Zeus’s fighters are “creations of legend” — “I guess I can see why Lucif struggled now”.
