Episode 0158 Title Arch Angel Goku Is DONE With Gohan Released 2024-11-01 Length 36:01 Setting the icy planet where the Saiyans fought Dante and Virgil Watch YouTube ↗
Summary
Gohan hangs in chains from the black portal; Vegeta notes he is chained “just like we were”, and the godkiller Trunks, waking, is thrown back to his own ten years of imprisonment (ep 0158 00:01:11–00:03:49). Bardock holds back the revived Goten and leaves it to Goku, who senses Gohan is alive (ep 0158 00:03:59–00:05:01). Virgil calls Gohan’s arrival a “gift” from Lord Lucif (ep 0158 00:05:53–00:06:12). Arch Angel Goku flies at Gohan but slams into an invisible wall; a deep voice answers him, and Lucif descends behind Gohan and introduces himself as the one who “surpassed Zeno, the former devil” (ep 0158 00:06:50–00:09:48). Vegeta’s blast does nothing to the wall and nearly hits Goku; Lucif appears behind Goku and shrugs off his punches and kick, calling Arch Angel a “harmless mortal replica” of his little brother’s power, then lifts him by the throat (ep 0158 00:10:46–00:19:16). Lucif says Vegito was his main goal, but Gohan is more interesting: his grandfather was the Ox Demon King, of a line of demons that came to the mortal realm eons ago, and he was trained by the Demon King Piccolo’s spawn — Gohan is to become a vessel “if not for me, for an entirely new-” (ep 0158 00:19:24–00:22:25). He snaps his fingers, the chains vanish, and Dante and Virgil, gone beast-like and crying for the vessel, dissolve into black sludge that coats Gohan like a suit (ep 0158 00:22:43–00:25:21). Lucif lets Goku go to him; the new Gohan has black beast hair, a black suit, green Seraphim eyes with black sclera, mocks Goku as “the worst dad”, knocks him out of Arch Angel form, and stands on his chest like Raditz once did — “Just what was needed to host me” (ep 0158 00:25:39–00:30:28). Trunks’s blast drives him off and he gives Goku a senzu bean (ep 0158 00:30:52–00:31:58). Possessed Gohan recognises Trunks as “That upstart from the future”; Vegeta, in base form, confronts him and finally reveals his own green Seraphim — “those eyes… belong to us!” — and Goku and Trunks activate theirs too (ep 0158 00:32:08–00:34:58).

Threads
- Resolved: Gohan in chains (released by Lucif, then possessed)

- Opened: Possessed Gohan · Lucif’s plan for Gohan
Uncertainties
- Who now speaks through Gohan is not named here; next episode Lucif names him Sparda (ep 0159 00:01:03–00:04:07). He calls Goku “father” and says “Just what was needed to host me” (00:30:11); the brothers had cried for “Sparda” (00:23:59, heard “spada”, likely) — Sparda is the father of Dante and Vergil in the Devil May Cry games (outside knowledge; inferred link only).
- Lucif’s sentence about the vessel is cut off (“for an entirely new-”, 00:22:10–00:22:25).
- Narration says “Future Trunks” for the purple-haired godkiller (00:03:23); read as Ultra Trunks. The possessed Gohan’s “upstart from the future” line may mix him up with the Trunks Gohan trained.
- “Whis! Why?” at 00:01:07 — speaker unclear (Gohan, still with Whis, inferred).
- The speaker of “That’s not the Trunks you know, kid!” (00:32:37) is unclear — probably Vegeta (inferred).
- Lucif’s “my little brother” (00:16:24) is read as Dai, whose Arch Angel form Goku shares (inferred).
