Summary

Genesis clowns and offers Lucif a deal — a forfeit, then help against the god killer, whose newest ability he knows from fighting him — and Lucif is stunned to hear Genesis fought Vegito (ep 0244 00:00:24–00:04:20). Zeus’s comment leads into a flashback: after Ultra Vegito left the cell, Zeus came through a red portal, threatened Genesis with “an eternity of nothingness”, and heard the whole story; furious that “that mortal created by Hera” now has his power, he orders Genesis to make sure of Vegito’s death, by his own hand or another’s, or Zeus will do it himself (ep 0244 00:05:19–00:11:56). Back in the present, Lucif refuses to listen and Zeus starts the match (ep 0244 00:12:30–00:14:20). Lucif, faster than ever, beats Genesis down, hits him with an Elder-God-sized Hakai, and has five apparitions of himself tackle him and explode like a perfected Gotenks kamikaze attack (ep 0244 00:14:28–00:21:17). Genesis vomits green slime — “getting rid of my weakness” — as Zeus warns him that losing means he will disappear (ep 0244 00:21:50–00:23:23). Turning into Prime Zeus’s lightning, he moves too fast for Lucif’s Omni Devil and archangel eyes, then spawns a lightning-breathing beast from his own flesh; Lucif swaps places so Genesis takes the blast, but Genesis dodges by bending into a ring, and Lucif destroys the beast (ep 0244 00:24:51–00:32:21). Genesis’s lightning then fries and pins Lucif, as Broly once did (ep 0244 00:33:02–00:35:18). Lucif’s feather barrage and “Triple Elder Erasure” are cancelled by three bolts from the ground — Elder Erasure nullified for the first time (ep 0244 00:35:35–00:38:40). Akobel realises Zeus never lost his prime self: “You… gave it away!” (ep 0244 00:39:21–00:39:41). Lucif asks his father if “it is time”; Akobel agrees, admits he was wrong to force him into angelhood, and says he will still be his son (ep 0244 00:40:11–00:41:41). Lucif destroys his archangel eye and transforms back into his original devil self — third eye, black ooze, horns, bloody black wings — “would finally attain his devil gene” (ep 0244 00:41:50–00:43:51).

Key events

  • 00:03:25–00:03:58 Genesis: without a death rule the match can end in forfeit; he can help Lucif beat the god killer, whose newest ability he knows.

  • 00:08:11–00:08:32 Zeus: “it will be an eternity of nothingness”.
  • 00:09:21–00:09:35 Zeus learns Genesis gave “that mortal created by Hera” his power; Genesis: “he stole it from me”.

  • 00:16:09–00:16:18 “The ultimate hakai of elder god proportions” lands on Genesis.
  • 00:18:11–00:18:45 Five apparitions of Lucif — his army-of-angels attack “evolved into an army of his own self”.
  • 00:20:37–00:20:51 They explode “like Lucif had perfected the super kamikaze attack of Gotenks”.

  • 00:39:28–00:39:41 Akobel: “You… didn’t lose your Prime self… You… gave it away!”
  • 00:41:03–00:41:41 Akobel: “It looks like I was wrong to force you into Angelhood… You… Will still be my son.”
  • 00:41:58 Lucif’s archangel eye is “completely eradicated”, leaving two Omni Devil eyes.
  • 00:43:07–00:43:51 “The OG Lucif, complete with his old voice”; narration: he “would finally attain his devil gene”.

Uncertainties

  • Genesis’s forfeit rule is heard as “if Zeus-sama doesn’t explicitly state death isn’t required” (00:03:25); the sense seems to be that without a death rule the match can end by forfeit (inferred).
  • The beast’s name is unclear (“citrix”, “rex”) (00:29:04, 00:32:09).
  • The narration says Lucif “would finally attain his devil gene” (00:43:41); how this relates to his earlier devil forms isn’t explained.
  • How Genesis was released from the cage isn’t shown; the flashback ends with Zeus’s order.
