Summary

Legendary Angel Broly offers Vegito another way — forgiveness, and a promise to bring Earth back — but Vegito refuses: as a god killer “on the verge of fully transforming” into a demon, with the fourth and fifth of the five coming for his head, he needs Broly’s energy, and means to absorb Broly and Merus (ep 0066 00:01:03–00:05:20). Broly, who knows the five from Whis as “gatekeepers to the demon realm”, answers with “the same lack of mercy you showed me all those years ago” (ep 0066 00:04:00–00:06:08). In his final ultra form Vegito cannot touch him: blows land from nowhere while Broly seems not to move, and the fusion mocks “Two talentless brutes” against “a genius that comes once every millennia” (ep 0066 00:06:15–00:16:38). Vegito powers up with both horns — and inside him Goku, unwilling to see their friend die, tries to leave by Instant Transmission again, until Vegeta, in Ultra Ego, holds him back, siding with Vegito; Goku turns Ultra Instinct to fight him for control (ep 0066 00:17:01–00:24:26). Elsewhere Makoto teleports Jiren to a planet of purple acid, slashes him with a blood-red energy blade, then smashes him into another planet; mocked that he chose “the wrong route to power”, Jiren answers that he took “exactly the right route” and becomes Ultra Demon Jiren — purple eyes, flared horns, spreading black markings (ep 0066 00:24:39–00:35:33). Makoto, terrified, recognises the energy as Lucif’s and fears Jiren will reach “true demon emperor status” (ep 0066 00:36:01–00:36:52). At the same time Vegito reaches his “true final demon form” — black hair, claws, fur, a purple scar across his face, a Frieza-like tail — and introduces “Demon Vegito” (ep 0066 00:37:02–00:39:27). Merus and Broly sense Lucif’s energy in him and explain: all angels’ powers come from the Grand Priest, and all demon powers from one entity, whose return grows likelier each time a mortal draws on it — “That is the reason you are hunted” (ep 0066 00:39:27–00:42:31). Broly resolves to end Vegito for the good of the multiverse, as the two god killers face their foes (ep 0066 00:42:31–00:43:19).

Key events

  • 00:01:21–00:01:46 Broly: “Can you learn to forgive, Kakarot?… Time is never ending… I can bring back the Earth. I am sure of it.”
  • 00:02:14–00:02:20 Vegito: “There is no forgiveness left in my heart. Not for them. And now, not for you.”
  • 00:02:41–00:03:25 “According to you gods, I am now a demon on the verge of fully transforming… my head has a bounty on it… The 4th and 5th of the 5 strongest… the only way I can stand a chance is with your energy, Broly.”
  • 00:03:33–00:03:46 His final ultra form: purple and silver hair, eyes pitch black “to resemble the Majin within him”.
  • 00:04:04–00:04:13 Broly: Whis mentioned “the 5 other realmly gods. Protectors of the multiverse and gatekeepers to the demon realm.”
  • 00:05:08–00:05:20 Vegito: “you will prove a great help… by becoming a part of me… so too is yours and Merus’ [fate] now.”
  • 00:05:34–00:06:08 Broly powers up, white lightning, pupils gone: “I will show you the same lack of mercy you showed me all those years ago. Son Goku and Vegeta!”
  • 00:06:23–00:06:29 Vegito: “I know you have experience with Gogeta, but you have no idea about our stronger fusion”.
  • 00:06:47–00:07:16 Broly, “with the most perfect of instincts gained from Merus”, sidesteps; an unseen counter hits Vegito’s ribs.
  • 00:07:46–00:08:02 Broly: “I attacked you… even with these demonic enhancements, you are far from being a threat to me, let alone the priest.”
  • 00:08:39–00:09:17 “I remember Gogeta being far more talented than this” — another unseen blow, though Broly seems not to move.
  • 00:10:16–00:11:27 Broly holds off a double hammer-fist with his arms and still strikes Vegito’s stomach, unseen.
  • 00:12:13–00:12:34 The fusion, “as if talking from Merus’ side”: “You lack speed, power, but most importantly, talent.”
  • 00:12:50–00:13:13 A back fist from his blind spot is blocked without Broly turning.
  • 00:15:10–00:15:55 Broly appears with fingers on Vegito’s temple: “Two talentless brutes, even when fused, could not dream to challenge a genius that comes once every millennia. Transform now, or die in mediocrity… you would pose a threat to Zeno, when you failed to even touch me.”
  • 00:16:24–00:16:38 “If you so desire to bring your loved ones back… show me everything you have… I will spare your life no more”.
  • 00:17:41–00:18:16 Vegito: “I remember when you were a quiet fellow… I didn’t even know you existed for decades of my life… I will live just fine with removing your existence”.
  • 00:18:51–00:19:18 Two spear-sharp horns burst out together; his body darkens.
  • 00:19:40–00:19:58 Inside, Goku: “he isn’t really going to go all out on Broly, is he?… he’ll end up killing him”.
  • 00:20:15–00:20:42 Vegeta: “with Merus added to the mix, he’s now truly at the level of the five strongest… we need his powers… he’s practically a senzu [?]”.
  • 00:21:04–00:21:12 Goku: “Broly is our friend… We could train with him!”
  • 00:21:26–00:22:02 Vegeta: “We met him once, and we tried to kill him… the only reason he’s still alive… is because of that green woman who used the Dragon Balls”.
  • 00:22:19–00:22:31 Goku raises two fingers: “if you’re not going to help, then I’ll just do it myself again!”
  • 00:22:38–00:23:23 Vegeta, in Ultra Ego, grabs his arm: “You will be doing nothing, Kakarot!… I’m as much of Vegito [?] as you are!”
  • 00:23:44–00:24:09 Goku: “after what happened with Babidi, I really did think you’d changed” — and goes Ultra Instinct. “Hakai-shin techniques vs. Angel techniques… to gain control of the god killer [?]”.
  • 00:25:09–00:26:15 Makoto grabs Jiren from behind and teleports them both to a smoking planet over “a purple acidic lake of death”, then vanishes.
  • 00:26:43–00:27:42 A tsunami of acid; Jiren survives inside a red energy ball, “Not too dissimilar to Android 17’s technique”.
  • 00:28:34–00:28:53 A cross-chop opens Jiren’s chest — Makoto now wields “a blood-red energy blade”.
  • 00:29:48 Makoto: “you will be joining Vegito soon!”
  • 00:30:03–00:30:49 He teleports Jiren to another planet and smashes him into it by the skull: “Do not ever doubt the power of the five!”
  • 00:31:21–00:31:28 “You would have made a great candidate to replace the rest of the five, had you not fallen so low. You chose the wrong route to power”.
  • 00:32:06–00:32:23 Jiren: “I never wanted to be part of the pride troopers or destroyers… I believe I took exactly the right route to power.”
  • 00:32:49–00:33:15 A column of energy nearly takes Makoto’s head off.
  • 00:35:06–00:35:33 Horns more flared, purple eyes, black markings spreading: “Ultra Demon Jiren has finally been born… the same level of transformation as the other godkiller.”
  • 00:36:09–00:36:36 Makoto (thinking): “They are evolving far too fast!… This energy? It is LUCIF’S! These two god killers, they are harnessing the great demon’s power perfectly! At this rate, Jiren will reach true demon emperor status!”
  • 00:36:44–00:36:52 A premonition shows Jiren fully transformed into a demon.
  • 00:38:02–00:38:52 Vegito’s claws burst through his gloves; a long purple scar, fur, a demon tail “reminiscent of Frieza”; black hair, larger horns, purple eyes; smoke from his mouth.
  • 00:38:52–00:39:27 “his true final demon form… Angel Broly, allow me to introduce you to Demon Vegito!”
  • 00:39:38–00:39:59 Merus, from within Broly: “V-Vegito!… This energy is not theirs!… This is Lucif’s!”
  • 00:39:59–00:40:32 Broly: “That power you are utilising… It is not of this realm… The more you use it, the more you will lose all trace of who you are… bring out the return of Lucif, the great demon!”
  • 00:40:42–00:41:01 Vegito: “Why do I keep hearing about him?… it’s starting to sound like he may be on my side! Bring him out already!” Broly: “He is on nobody’s side!”
  • 00:41:34–00:42:31 Broly: “bringing Lucif out is not something we gods can do… But it is something you unknowingly are… all Angel’s powers come from the Grand Priest, known as Dai [?]. But… all demon powers, small and great, come from one entity too… the more you bring out his powers… the higher the chance of his inevitable return, and the end of the multiverse… That is the reason you are hunted”.
  • 00:42:51–00:43:10 “For the good of the multiverse, for the good of Cheelai and Lemo, I will put an end to this. I will not allow you to bring back the great demon.”
  • 00:43:10–00:43:19 “two true demons would already exist in the form of the two god killers” — they speak together (the line is cut off).

Uncertainties

  • Inside Vegito’s mind the transcript calls Vegeta “Vegito” five times; corrected per the speaker note. “I’m as much of Vegito [?] as you are!” (00:23:23, heard “Vegeta”) is Vegeta claiming his share of the fusion (inferred).
  • Makoto appears “behind Vegito” at 00:25:15 — read as Jiren [?] (a narration slip).
  • “the 5 other realmly gods” (00:04:04), “the Priest of First” (00:36:15), “just like the G-tones” (00:35:12) and Jiren’s line at 00:35:43 are garbled.
  • Broly’s “one entity” behind all demon powers is not named in the same breath; that it is Lucif follows from “the more you bring out his powers… his inevitable return” (00:42:06–00:42:23) (inferred).
