Summary

Bleeding from the torn-off wing, Dai asks his brother what he wants; Lucif grins that Dai knows full well (ep 0092 00:01:05–00:02:31). But Vegito, clutching his head, calls Lucif “my tool” and pulls him back in through his demon eye — “I’m taking back control!” — sealing him away again (ep 0092 00:03:12–00:04:48). Then Vegito transforms, on one side only: crimson hair, a red-and-black demon eye, a slit that opens into a third eye on his forehead, and a black flame that hardens into an oversized demon arm, “as if ripped straight off from Lucif himself” (ep 0092 00:05:30–00:09:17). Inside his mind the chained Lucif rages that Vegito is taking only half his power; Vegito says half is enough and he’ll get the other half from someone else — Gogeta, now with two Seraphim eyes: “Use the Seraphim wisely, Vegito!” (ep 0092 00:11:24–00:14:53). With a Seraphim eye on his left and the third eye split between demon and angel, Vegito becomes “a true Nephilim”, half demon, half angel (ep 0092 00:15:24–00:17:20). He blasts Dai with Lucif’s energy, matches his speed, and with the pressure of his eyes alone forces him down onto the beam, burning his back; Dai’s Angelic Reverse is swatted aside by the demon arm (ep 0092 00:19:15–00:26:46). Dai warns that Lucif is “the one true devil” and that countless mortals would be lost if he returned; Vegito jokes, refuses to back down, and fires one of “brother’s” moves, a blood-red energy scythe (ep 0092 00:28:10–00:34:56). Dai’s Divine Smite melts the demon arm to sludge, but Buu’s power regrows it (ep 0092 00:35:55–00:37:20). Locked hand to hand, Dai raises a giant cyan apparition of himself to crush Vegito, and Vegito sprouts a second demon arm from his left shoulder that catches its foot (ep 0092 00:38:16–00:42:22). Zeno begs to see the full new form; Vegito agrees, on one condition — that Zeno summon Zalama, the Dragon God, then and there (ep 0092 00:42:46–00:44:33).

Key events

  • 00:01:05–00:01:31 Dai’s left wing is torn off; his blood sprays.
  • 00:01:53–00:02:31 Dai: “How do you keep returning? What is it you want, you demon?” — Lucif: “You know all too well what I want, little brother”.
  • 00:03:12–00:03:37 Vegito, holding his head: “Hold it right there you freak!… All you are, is my tool! And guess what? You’ve served your purpose now!”
  • 00:03:46–00:04:48 Lucif is drawn back into Vegito through his demon eye, “like a Mafuba”: “I’m taking back control!”
  • 00:04:55–00:05:24 Dai falls to his knees: “Did he somehow seal him away, by himself?”
  • 00:05:30–00:07:26 Fangs, blood, black lightning; his right bang grows; his power returns and goes beyond; the right side of his hair turns dark red.
  • 00:07:35–00:09:17 A slit opens on his forehead; a black flame forms an oversized demon arm on his right; a third eye opens; his left eye stays closed.
  • 00:09:33–00:09:53 Dai: “Why does it feel like Lucif again?… Do not tell me this mortal is somehow taking over brother’s body instead!”
  • 00:10:04–00:10:36 Zeno, crying with joy: “Is there more to show me?”
  • 00:10:53–00:11:15 Vegito: “This is not my complete form! I have a little further to go still!”
  • 00:11:24–00:12:05 In Vegito’s mind, the re-chained Lucif: “Quit fooling around, taking half of my energy!… Without me, you are nothing mortal!”
  • 00:12:15–00:12:55 Vegito: “Who exactly is trapped in chains right now, you clown?… Half is enough! The other half, I’ll get from someone else!”
  • 00:13:33–00:14:39 Gogeta steps out behind Lucif: “Vegito’s better looking brother… One power that he’ll need to even out all that dirty evil energy”.
  • 00:14:42–00:15:04 “Use the Seraphim wisely, Vegito!” — Gogeta now has two Seraphim eyes.
  • 00:15:24–00:16:02 Vegito’s completed state: Seraphim eye on the left, third eye split demon and angel, demon eye on the right, red-and-blue aura: “a true Nephilim”.
  • 00:16:23–00:16:41 “Your scary older brother is gone… put that foot back on my head again?”
  • 00:17:00–00:17:20 Dai: “He has taken control of Lucif’s power on one side, and utilising the Divine Seraphim on the other?… he’s a…”
  • 00:17:30–00:17:47 Zeno: “I like the blue and red. Can you make green like I said though?”
  • 00:18:01–00:18:28 Vegito: there’s more, which he is trying not to use — Lucif stands behind him as the “endgame, if all goes wrong” — and he’ll show it on one condition.
  • 00:18:41–00:19:06 Zeno: “What do you want? I don’t like rules, you know”.
  • 00:19:15–00:19:47 A black demonic energy ball, amplified by the arm, blasts at Dai.
  • 00:20:04–00:20:58 Dai jumps over it on one wing: “Vegito has somehow mentally overpowered even my elder brother! But he will not overpower me!”
  • 00:21:16–00:21:58 Vegito appears before him: “We’re both Seraphim users… I think mine are a little better!”
  • 00:22:01–00:23:24 Pressure from Vegito’s eyes forces Dai down onto the still-running beam, which burns his spine.
  • 00:23:27–00:23:50 Dai: “This impure energy! It’s his!”
  • 00:24:11–00:24:38 Vegito: “He is part of me, and so this power is mine now… Just how much stronger is your brother than you, Dai?”
  • 00:25:06–00:26:41 “ANGELIC REVERSE!” — Vegito swats the returning beam away with his demon arm.
  • 00:27:08–00:27:31 Dai kicks Vegito from behind.
  • 00:28:10–00:28:51 Dai: Vegito’s pride stops him letting Lucif escape fully; “If you do allow him to take over, you would have unleashed a far greater threat… defeat me with your own strength!”
  • 00:29:04–00:29:20 Dai vows to put Lucif back where he belongs.
  • 00:29:35–00:30:39 Angel arm meets demon arm; the shockwave wrecks what’s left of Zeno’s palace.
  • 00:30:54–00:31:47 The other four stop; Goku: “Vegito [?] changed again!”; Vegeta: “I think that might be… Lucif!”
  • 00:32:19–00:33:11 Dai: his brother “is not known as the one true devil for no reason… countless mortals… will all be lost if he ever returns”.
  • 00:33:29–00:34:03 Vegito: “Keep your incestuous relationship to yourself… I know exactly what I’m doing… either kill me quick, or just die before I have to!”
  • 00:34:08–00:34:56 A blood-red energy scythe from the devil arm — Dai: “That’s brother’s move!” — phases through it.
  • 00:35:21–00:36:41 Vegito gets close; Dai’s Divine Smite erases his energy ball and melts the demon hand to “black sludge”.
  • 00:36:44–00:37:20 It regrows: “with Buu inside me, what do I really have to fear?”
  • 00:37:44–00:37:51 Dai: “How such a vile creature has come to be on Zeno’s and my watch!”
  • 00:38:16–00:38:54 They lock hands, straining.
  • 00:39:03–00:40:31 A cyan triangle glows on Dai’s torso; a giant cyan apparition of Dai, like Goku’s against Moro, rises to stamp on Vegito.
  • 00:41:21 Vegito: “The three eyes! The tri-beam! I owe Tien [?] a big hug once I revive him!”
  • 00:41:36–00:42:22 A second demon arm bursts from his left shoulder and catches the giant’s foot.
  • 00:42:29–00:42:40 Dai realises still more of Lucif’s power is being drawn out.
  • 00:42:46–00:43:28 Zeno: “ANOTHER ARM!… Show me your new form!”
  • 00:43:43–00:44:12 Vegito: “Even if you are responsible for the deaths of countless mortals!… I want you to summon the Dragon God, Zalama! Right here and now!”
  • 00:44:26–00:44:33 Zeno: “Zalama? Why?”

Uncertainties

  • “Di”, “die” and “dart” are read as Dai throughout (×22); “as fast as you die!” (00:21:48) as “as fast as you, Dai!” (likely). “DIE!” (00:15:22) and “or just die” (00:34:03) are kept as the word.
  • “I OTN a big hug” (00:41:21) is read as “I owe Tien a big hug” (likely) — the second arm recalls Tien’s extra arms and Tri-Beam.
  • What Vegito wants Zalama for isn’t said here; next episode Zalama grants his wish — every erased planet and mortal back once Dai dies (ep 0093 00:22:52–00:23:10).
  • Gogeta has two Seraphim eyes now, against one in ep 0083 (00:14:53–00:15:04); how isn’t said.
