Summary

Kazuya Mishima, emperor of sector 2 — tall, in a fine suit, wreathed in blue lightning, with one red eye — denies being a Saiyan and asks whether Vegito has ever met the “Devil Gene”; Vegito doesn’t care, as long as it makes for a good fight (ep 0137 00:01:07–00:04:41). In Universe 7, King Vegeta, sent on Bulma’s orders, is clearing his sixth planet in a row; he saves Tien from a grinning skull-faced demon and burns it away, but Tien, still distrustful of Saiyans, refuses his hand (ep 0137 00:05:48–00:12:48). Black lightning strikes and a portal opens: out comes one of Lucif’s armoured royal guards, sent for “two targets” (ep 0137 00:13:27–00:17:29). The guard shrugs off King Vegeta’s Super Saiyan 4 God form, lifts him by the throat and says Vegeta will be visited next; the king laughs that the guard should pray he never meets his son, and the guard kills him (ep 0137 00:17:29–00:26:59). Tien, suddenly furious, blasts the guard off the king with his Tri-Beam, and is beheaded in an instant (ep 0137 00:27:31–00:30:30). The guard throws Tien’s head through the portal to Lucif, who gloats that more of the godkiller’s loved ones are gone and taunts Vegito to fight his way out and see what he has allowed (ep 0137 00:30:46–00:32:25). In sector 2, the tired, base-form Vegito turns on his green Seraphim; Kazuya sheds his jacket and lands his Electric Wind God Fist, but Vegito splashes into blood with Kenji’s technique and re-forms beneath him (ep 0137 00:32:25–00:36:04). Vegito’s counterpunch is stopped by a monstrous wing: Kazuya’s eyes are now red Seraphim edged in black, like Vegito’s final form, and he names himself the true Devil — the one who sat on the throne before Lucif (ep 0137 00:36:04–00:38:07).

Key events

  • 00:01:07–00:01:39 Kazuya: tall, in an expensive suit, blue lightning around him, one red eye.
  • 00:01:39–00:02:07 Vegito is glad to fight an adult-sized emperor for once; Kazuya looks like a Saiyan.
  • 00:02:07–00:02:43 Kazuya: he is no Saiyan; he asks about the “Devil Gene”.
  • 00:03:10–00:04:41 Kazuya: Vegito would have suited “the King of Iron Fist”; he’ll show “the true power of the Devil”. They square off like twins.
  • 00:04:41–00:05:28 Their first punches meet — then the story cuts away.
  • 00:05:28–00:06:31 Elsewhere, King Vegeta, in base form, sends a blue-skinned monster flying; he was sent by Bulma to protect Universe 7; this is his sixth planet in a row.
  • 00:06:54–00:08:24 A noseless, skull-faced demon has Tien by the arm and mocks his threats about the Crane School.
  • 00:08:43–00:09:42 King Vegeta grabs the demon; he has already killed its partner, Goro (as heard).
  • 00:09:42–00:11:17 He throws it skyward and destroys it with a one-armed beam.
  • 00:11:38 The king: demon kings once troubled him; now he doubts even emperors would.
  • 00:11:59–00:12:48 Tien refuses the king’s hand — he’ll never trust Saiyans.
  • 00:13:27–00:13:52 The king pushes Tien clear of a bolt of black lightning.
  • 00:14:18–00:15:17 Black storms cover the planet and a black portal opens; Tien feels “the end”.
  • 00:15:51–00:16:15 Out comes Lucif’s royal guard, in the black armour once splashed with Zeno’s blood.
  • 00:17:02–00:17:29 The guard: Lord Lucif commanded him here for “Two targets”, and he has found them.
  • 00:17:59–00:18:20 King Vegeta: this one is beyond Tizer and his father.
  • 00:18:39–00:19:39 The guard fires pure black energy; the king vanishes from its path.
  • 00:20:28–00:21:36 The guard appears back to back with him and strikes the back of his head, sending him into a mountain.
  • 00:22:37–00:23:28 King Vegeta bursts out in his Super Saiyan 4 God form and lands a clean punch — to no effect.
  • 00:23:49–00:24:53 His barrage does nothing; the guard grabs him by the throat.
  • 00:24:53–00:25:16 The king: the guard and his son must not meet.
  • 00:25:48–00:26:13 The guard: Vegeta will be visited soon and will join him.
  • 00:26:13–00:26:39 The king laughs: for the guard’s own sake they should never meet; “hurry up and kill me”.
  • 00:26:39–00:26:59 The guard crushes his throat; King Vegeta dies.
  • 00:26:59–00:27:31 The guard: he will tell Vegeta what he did.
  • 00:27:54–00:28:28 Tien’s Tri-Beam Cannon knocks the guard off the king.
  • 00:28:54–00:29:19 Tien, enraged at the king’s death, fires again.
  • 00:29:31–00:30:30 The guard closes in and cuts off Tien’s head; Tien is dead.
  • 00:30:46–00:31:12 The guard picks up the head: “Two more… To add… To the list”.
  • 00:31:12–00:32:25 He tosses it through the portal to Lucif, who delights in more of the godkiller’s loved ones gone: “Make your way out… And see what you have allowed me to do”.
  • 00:32:25–00:33:20 Vegito, tired and in base form, gets up and credits the Devil Gene; Kazuya, still in his suit, is untouched.
  • 00:33:49–00:34:12 Vegito’s green Seraphim — “The original” — activate.
  • 00:34:12–00:34:52 Kazuya takes off his jacket and rushes in with a bobbing step.
  • 00:34:52–00:35:39 His Electric Wind God Fist lands; Vegito bursts into a wave of blood (Kenji’s technique) and coats him.
  • 00:35:39–00:36:04 Vegito re-forms under the uppercut and punches.
  • 00:36:04–00:36:43 A huge, gruesome wing blocks the punch and wraps Kazuya.
  • 00:36:43–00:37:39 Kazuya’s eyes: two red Seraphim with a black outer layer — like Vegito’s final form and the Devil’s. “the one who sat at the throne… Before even Lucif… The true Devil”.
  • 00:37:39–00:38:07 He spreads two demonic wings, a monstrous creature looming behind him.

Threads

Uncertainties

  • Which of Lucif’s two demon guards this is isn’t clear; the narration says Lucif reveals “the first guard’s name” (00:32:07) but no name is heard.
  • The guard’s “Two targets” (00:17:29) are presumably King Vegeta and Tien (inferred); “Two more… to the list” (00:31:02) suggests a list of Vegito’s loved ones, which would include Yamcha and Piccolo (ep 0134) (inferred).
  • Tien’s distrust of “the same Saiyans who once were responsible for his death” (00:12:25) is narration; which death is meant isn’t said.
  • “Kazuya Mishima”, the “Devil Gene”, “King of Iron Fist” and the “Electric Wind God Fist” are crossover references; the transcript names them clearly.
  • Chaotzu, Tien’s teammate (ep 0122), isn’t seen here.
