Summary

Vegito, sensing that someone else can draw on his demonic power (“not stealing it… they just have access to it too”), cuts the higher angels apart with his God Slayer Blade: first Kashi, then two at once, then the fleeing Mok with a giant extended blade (ep 0149 00:01:07–00:10:13). The last, masked angel — called Shin — calls his fallen brothers “Step brothers at most” and says he has been waiting for Vegito (ep 0149 00:10:28–00:12:29). Shin parries and strikes Vegito’s ribs, hurting him, and Vegito powers up with a purple aura and red lightning (ep 0149 00:15:13–00:19:07). Vegito traps Shin’s arm in his putty-like cheek, cracks his mask, and Shin answers with cyan Seraphim (ep 0149 00:19:49–00:24:18). Vegito’s next blow breaks the mask: the angel has the completed Seraphim and is Dai, the former Grand Priest (ep 0149 00:27:43–00:30:47). Vegito mocks him as too weak to be the final emperor; Dai agrees, and both are moved to an arena like the Tournament of Power’s, with a glass-enclosed box above (ep 0149 00:31:03–00:33:11). Dai says that after him Vegito will face his creator, “my mother… The mother of all angels” (ep 0149 00:33:43–00:34:00). In the box sits a horned female angel with one red and one cyan Seraphim eye, sipping wine or blood; she calls Dai her “failure of a son” and says she misses Lucif (ep 0149 00:34:04–00:35:31). Stung, Dai takes a new four-winged angel form with cyan diamonds on his forehead and chest; Vegito answers with his full-winged demonic form for “Vegito vs Dai 2” (ep 0149 00:36:05–00:39:41).

Uncertainties

  • The angel’s alias is heard “Shin”, “Chin”, “Kin”; the narration says “Named Shin” (00:14:29).
  • “Kashi!” (00:04:54) is read as the first dead angel’s name; “Mark” is Mok.
  • That the mother is the final demon emperor is Vegito’s reading of Dai’s words (00:35:43–00:35:51); Dai says she awaits after him (00:33:43–00:34:00). Whether the figure in the glass box is Zeno is first wondered, then shown to be her (00:32:44–00:34:16).
  • Dai was erased in ep 0102; how he is in the demon realm isn’t said here — he explains it next episode: erased under the angel code for the cardinal sin of having Zeno murdered, then sent below for eternity (ep 0151 00:03:15–00:05:51).
  • The Grand Priest was called “the father of all angels” who handcrafted every angel (ep 0003; ep 0021); now his mother is “the mother of all angels” and Dai’s “creator”. Both can hold (inferred); not logged as a retcon.
