Summary

Vegito gloats over the beaten G.T., who answers that he lost to Son Goku, not to Vegito — Goku “is… different… and he will… save us” (ep 0098 00:01:44–00:03:23). Goku lands and asks if Vegito will absorb G.T.; Vegito says yes, “But perhaps not in the way you expect”, and sends Goku to back up Vegeta (ep 0098 00:03:47–00:04:44). Dai, with one red and one cyan Seraphim eye and a face more like Lucif’s, dives in — “Get away from my student!” — but Goku blocks him, wings spread (ep 0098 00:05:12–00:08:11). Dai calls Goku’s Seraphim a counterfeit and swears to rip out his eyes as a plaything for Zeno, who can’t decide whom to cheer for (ep 0098 00:09:11–00:12:33). Goku and Dai seem evenly matched until Dai’s finger beams and a cyan ball with black lightning; Vegeta, himself again, shields Goku with his arm moulded into a glove (ep 0098 00:12:45–00:23:44). Dai smashes their heads together, then traps Goku in his own beam the way Goku once held Raditz (ep 0098 00:25:23–00:32:18). Goku turns out unhurt and wraps Dai in his wings for Vegeta’s punch, but Dai turns ghostly and the punch goes through him into Goku; afterwards Dai is out of breath, so the trick must have a cost (ep 0098 00:33:01–00:38:47). The two Saiyans still end up exhausted, and Goku asks where Vegito is (ep 0098 00:39:56–00:40:28). White feathers sprout on Vegeta’s drained arm, like Dai’s, and he gains a Seraphim eye (ep 0098 00:41:15–00:41:43). A beam of light rises from where G.T. lay: Vegito has absorbed him — darkness over almost his whole torso, a blood-red triangle on his chest, two black scars down his face like Zeno’s guards, and all three eyes now red Seraphim eyes (ep 0098 00:41:48–00:43:42). He has passed some of G.T.’s Seraphim knowledge to Vegeta so he can draw on Lucif without being taken over; both power up as Nephilim Saiyans while Goku worries (ep 0098 00:43:48–00:45:47). Dai: “In the end, it will all be mine” (ep 0098 00:46:10).

Key events

  • 00:01:30 G.T.: “You God Killers!”
  • 00:01:58–00:02:31 Vegito: G.T. “served your purpose of allowing that clown to ascend”; how does it feel to lose to the mortal “you so looked down upon in the Tournament of Power?”
  • 00:02:57–00:03:23 G.T.: “that mortal was not you… Son Goku is not like you… he will… save us”.
  • 00:03:47–00:04:02 Goku: G.T.’s energy is “near zero… Are you going to absorb him?”
  • 00:04:11–00:04:44 Vegito: “Yes, exactly that. But perhaps not in the way you expect… You go back up Vegeta.”
  • 00:05:12 Dai: “Get away from my student!”
  • 00:05:43–00:05:51 Dai’s eyes: red and cyan Seraphim; “more similarities to his elder brother Lucif than a supposed one true angel”.
  • 00:07:43–00:08:11 Seraphim Goku blocks Dai’s path, wings spread to shield Vegito.
  • 00:08:43–00:08:58 Goku: “It feels weird… a technique that supposedly came straight from you… It did for GT at least.”
  • 00:09:11–00:09:48 Dai: Goku’s “incomplete, sorry excuse for Ultra Instinct” and “a counterfeit Seraphim form”; G.T. was “my greatest student”.
  • 00:10:28 Zeno: “Dai, Goku, who do I pick, this is the best.”
  • 00:11:36–00:12:33 Dai: “I will have those eyes of yours ripped out. They can serve as Lord Zeno’s new plaything… a fate worse than even destruction.”
  • 00:13:38–00:13:58 Dai is sick of hearing Zeno say “Son Goku this, Son Goku that”.
  • 00:15:50–00:16:17 Their clashes span the realm; Goku seems on par with “the legendary father of angels”.
  • 00:17:51–00:18:43 White orbs on Dai’s fingertips fire beams “far deadlier than any death beam”; Goku dodges all.
  • 00:19:05–00:19:26 Dai: “I can’t imagine Whis or Merus taught you that.”
  • 00:19:41–00:20:55 A giant cyan ball wrapped in black lightning — from the absorbed Lucif energy (narration: “presumably”) — is hurled at Goku.
  • 00:22:39–00:23:39 Vegeta, his arms shaped into “some form of makeshift baseball glove”, took the blast; Goku: “you’re back if you’re helping me”.
  • 00:24:14–00:24:19 Dai: “I must get rid of you one by one!”
  • 00:24:58–00:25:08 Vegeta: “This guy isn’t someone those little tricks would work on!”
  • 00:25:29–00:26:22 Dai grabs both and slams their skulls together.
  • 00:28:27–00:29:59 Kamehameha against Dai’s one-armed beam; “Now you die, Son Goku!”
  • 00:30:19–00:31:13 Dai appears behind Goku and claps his head with both fists.
  • 00:31:13–00:31:48 Goku is held in the path of Dai’s own beam, as “Goku once did to his brother Raditz”.
  • 00:32:12 Dai: “This is what the true power of the Seraphim is like, imposter.”
  • 00:32:41–00:33:43 Goku is gone — then behind Dai, unhurt; he wraps Dai in his wings: “You seem a little cold Dai. You’re shivering.”
  • 00:33:45–00:34:54 “Vegeta! Now!” — Vegeta charges.
  • 00:34:58–00:35:37 Dai flashes both Seraphim eyes and becomes “a ghostly apparition”; the punch passes through him into Goku.
  • 00:36:18–00:36:43 Goku: “Are you sure you’re not Lucif?”; Vegeta: “I’ll try to react faster next time.”
  • 00:37:04–00:37:43 Vegeta asks if Goku has “some form of invincibility” too; Goku: no — “with Dai, I was literally grabbing onto him”.
  • 00:38:05–00:38:47 Dai is “partially out of breath”; Vegeta: “it isn’t something he can use over and over!”
  • 00:39:56–00:40:28 Both Saiyans on their knees: “His energy doesn’t end!”; Goku: “Where’s Vegito?”
  • 00:41:15–00:41:30 White feathers grow on Vegeta’s drained arm, as on Dai’s arms.
  • 00:41:30–00:41:43 “for the very first time, Vegeta would now possess a Seraphim eye”.
  • 00:41:48–00:42:19 A beam of light from G.T.’s remains: “Royal Vegito is born” (as heard).
  • 00:42:31–00:43:01 Darkness over almost all his torso; a blood-red triangle on his chest; two black scars down his face “just like Zeno’s guards once had”.
  • 00:43:18–00:43:42 All three of his eyes are now Seraphim eyes, “but red just like Dai’s one right one”.
  • 00:43:48–00:44:22 Vegito: “Consider it a gift. I have given you access to some of GT’s power… With this, you should be able to access more of Lucif’s power without fear… Just don’t go overboard.”
  • 00:45:07–00:45:22 “both Nephilim Saiyans, aka half demon, half angel Saiyans” power up; Lucif screams within.
  • 00:45:44–00:45:47 Goku: “It’s happening again. I hope this is the right decision.”
  • 00:46:10 Dai: “this detestably dark energy. In the end, it will all be mine.”

Uncertainties

  • The episode title calls this “Ultra Vegito’s Final Form”.
  • How Vegeta got the feathered arm and Seraphim eye is explained by Vegito only as a “gift” of G.T.’s power (00:43:53–00:44:02).
  • The ghostly dodge has no name; its cost is the Saiyans’ reading of Dai’s breathing (00:38:05–00:38:47).
