Episode 0159 Title Arch Angel Goku Has No Choice But To Kill Gohan Released 2024-11-08 Length 45:05 Setting the icy planet; the Elder Gods’ meeting place; Chronoa’s throne; a memory of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber Watch YouTube ↗
Summary
The demon in Gohan sneers at the Saiyans as “Inbred fools”, says the green Seraphim must be a Saiyan variant, and greets Lucif as an “old friend” whose plan to come back has worked (ep 0159 00:01:03–00:03:04). Lucif names him Sparda — “In some theologies, known as the father, of Virgil and Dante” — and says his own vessel, the godkiller “that made all of this possible”, is yet to come; Trunks realises he means Vegito is coming back (ep 0159 00:03:14–00:06:29). Vegeta tells Goku that Gohan is gone for now and must be fought; Sparda, jealous of the talk of Vegito, pushes Vegeta back with a single punch (ep 0159 00:05:13–00:08:55). Lucif raises his throne from the ice and calls to Vegito and to the Elder Gods: he will become “the first Omni Devil” and rule even them (ep 0159 00:09:41–00:11:32). In a crystal ball, Akobel, Castiel and five other Elder Gods watch “Multiverse 20”: they debate the threat from Lucif — “your reckless spawn” — and from Vegito, who is fighting his way through the demon realm and will come for them too; a young god reports soul-siphoning towers on almost every planet; the most senior decides to watch and interfere where needed, notes ruined timelines and a warrior out of his own timeline, and asks where Chronoa [?], the keeper of time, is (ep 0159 00:12:04–00:22:46). Chronoa, on her throne, admits she “may have gone a little overboard” with her “little game” (ep 0159 00:23:05–00:24:07). Back on the planet, Trunks kicks Sparda and Vegeta’s two energy balls drive him into Goku’s reach — but Goku can’t strike his son, and Sparda punches him (ep 0159 00:24:23–00:30:12). Dante’s face on Sparda’s chest swallows Trunks’s blast, and Sparda’s dark beam engulfs Trunks; he chokes and beats Vegeta with a tentacle of his suit (ep 0159 00:31:29–00:36:40). Bardock tells Goku only he knows what Gohan would want; Goku’s green Seraphim flash, Sparda is pulled into a vision of Goku and Gohan training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber — “It’s all or nothing!” — and Goku, deciding, fires a Kamehameha at him (ep 0159 00:36:45–00:44:14).

Uncertainties
- Elder God speakers are hard to tell apart. Names heard: Zeus (the bearded senior god, inferred: Chronoa says “Zeus is calling” 00:23:24), Ares (“the old man Ares” 00:15:56) and Hera (00:20:43); which body each belongs to is inferred.
- “Kanoa” is Chronoa: the same keeper of time is named as the Elder God Chronoa later (ep 0176 00:31:32–00:31:38; ep 0185 00:25:06–00:25:13); narration calls her “an older and more voluptuous looking keeper of time… than we may have seen in other timelines” (00:23:05–00:23:15).
- “Your reckless spawn” (00:13:30) is read as Lucif, Akobel’s son (inferred from ep 0157).
- “Even this one has a warrior who does not belong to that timeline” (00:22:16) — probably Ultra Trunks (inferred).
- Whether Trunks survived the dark beam is not shown until ep 0159 00:39:23: he did.
