Overview

Z is the first of Zeno’s two royal guards, a higher-class angel taught by the Grand Priest Dai (ep 0062 00:35:29; ep 0087 00:37:36–00:37:38). He punched Ultra Vegito to one knee on their first meeting (ep 0003 00:15:45) and later beat him across three episodes before Zeno called him back (ep 0061–0063; ep 0063 00:36:03–00:36:16). With his brother S he fought Seraphim Goku, then fused into G.T. (ep 0090 00:04:14–00:07:23).

As of the latest episode (ep 0261): gone. As G.T. he was beaten by Goku (ep 0097 00:41:52–00:42:16) and absorbed by Vegito, who became Royal Vegito (ep 0098 00:41:48–00:42:19); G.T.’s apparition was erased by Dai (ep 0100 00:38:58–00:42:04).

Affiliations & relationships

• Zeno: his creator and master; Z says he guards him with his life and owes him “it and more” (ep 0061 00:11:21–00:11:42). Zeno recalls him mid-fight (ep 0063 00:36:03–00:36:16).
• S: his brother and fellow guard; they speak telepathically (ep 0061 00:37:21; ep 0086 00:15:07).
• Grand Priest (Dai): his teacher; Z calls him “master Dai”, and Dai calls the Seraphim form his “teaching” (ep 0063 00:21:02–00:21:33, 00:24:56); Dai vows to avenge him (ep 0099 00:04:04–00:04:17).
• Mule, Campari and Awamo [?]: Z is sent to keep them alive (ep 0061 00:07:53); see Mule.
• Ultra Vegito: his opponent in eps 0061–0063; he later absorbs G.T. (ep 0098 00:41:48–00:42:19).
• Goku: his opponent as Seraphim Goku, eps 0086–0097 (ep 0086 00:13:42–00:13:45).
• Lucif: the guards helped defeat him long ago (Lucif, ep 0087 00:06:19).

Abilities / traits

• Extreme speed: he hit Vegito before Vegito could move (ep 0003 00:16:13–00:16:17), though Vegito had just been weakened by eleven gods’ Hakai (ep 0003 00:15:59).
• A red energy barrier Vegito’s destruction wave can’t dent, and which he walks through (ep 0061 00:06:11–00:08:34); a weighted jacket over a mummy-like bodysuit; the stance of Whis and Merus (ep 0061 00:12:08–00:12:24); an uppercut out of orbit, an axe kick and a knee that ruptures Vegito’s organs (ep 0061 00:15:25–00:35:24); unhurt by Ultra Ego’s hit (ep 0061 00:24:30).
• Only four in history had made him bleed (ep 0062 00:15:23); Vegito does it twice (ep 0062 00:14:04, 00:31:13). His eyes can change to look like Ultra Instinct (ep 0062 00:24:52).
• Forms:
  • Seraphim form (ep 0062): he channels “Akobet” (as heard); one white wing, angel’s eyes and a thick aura; his punch takes off Vegito’s arm; four feathers that bind and explode (ep 0062 00:33:19–00:39:38).
  • Clones (ep 0063): he splits into five, each strong but with his power divided until he takes them back (ep 0063 00:09:43–00:12:46, 00:22:29–00:22:48).
  • Seraphim final form (ep 0063): a second wing, white lightning like the Grand Priest’s, a symbol in a turquoise eye — “proof I have mastered your teaching” (ep 0063 00:24:15–00:25:13).
  • Seraphim eye in his left eye only (ep 0086 00:29:26–00:29:37).
  • G.T. (as heard), his fusion with S by “Divine… Combination!”: a taller “royal commander” with two Seraphim eyes, the Priest’s cyan triangle and two wings (ep 0090 00:04:14–00:07:23); the “second level of seraphim” (Dai, ep 0090 00:08:39–00:08:41); fast enough to outrun Instant Transmission (ep 0090 00:20:17–00:26:07). Called “the second strongest angel in the entire multiverse” (ep 0100 00:39:09–00:39:18).
• Techniques: heavenly blades, miles-long white energy blades (ep 0063 00:16:00–00:16:29); holy smite, a light that erases demonic flesh like a Hakai and wipes out every Vegito copy at once (ep 0063 00:27:27–00:29:40); a flash from his eye erases time rings (ep 0063 00:32:28); with S, the double holy smite (ep 0088 00:22:27–00:27:17).
• Dropping his jacket makes him far faster (ep 0086 00:24:01–00:25:38).

Variants

• None. G.T. is a fusion form of Z and S, listed under Abilities. Lucif’s demon guards, made to replace the pair, are other individuals — see Zeno’s guards.

Status

• Gone (as of ep 0261): fused into G.T., beaten by Goku (ep 0097 00:41:52–00:42:16) and absorbed by Vegito (ep 0098 00:41:48–00:42:19); the G.T. apparition was erased (ep 0100 00:38:58–00:42:04).
• Earlier: alive and serving Zeno, eps 0003–0089 (ep 0003 00:15:48; ep 0089 00:22:25–00:22:36).

• ep 0061 00:11:53: names himself, shields Mule and the angels, and beats Vegito through his final ultra, Ultra Ego and demonic forms; he says he and his brother would make short work of the fifth strongest (ep 0061 00:37:17–00:37:25).
• ep 0062 00:33:19–00:39:38: bled by true demon Vegito, he takes his Seraphim form and maims him, then finds himself surrounded by Vegitos from time portals.
• ep 0063 00:24:15–00:36:16: splits into five, takes his Seraphim final form with the Grand Priest’s secret permission, erases every Vegito copy and the time rings, and is recalled by Zeno just before the final blow.
• ep 0085 00:35:25–00:35:57: Vegito says Z “was still holding back” last time; the guards bristle at his threat to Zeno (00:40:21–00:41:12).
• ep 0086 00:13:42–00:31:18: with S he fights Seraphim Goku; he dodges Goku’s Seraphim Kamehameha with his Seraphim eye and says Goku is far from mastering their abilities.
• ep 0087 00:38:49–00:39:09: says they are only giving Zeno a show; full power would end it.
• ep 0088 00:11:01–00:27:17: “phase two”: both guards take the one-winged Seraphim form and unite in the double holy smite, which draws with Goku’s Dragon Smite.
• ep 0089 00:14:36–00:24:33: struck down with S by the Dragon Smite through a portal, survives charred, and is kicked into S by an unseen red-eyed figure; he recalls smiting Vegito’s time rings on Dai’s orders (00:40:08–00:40:34).
• ep 0090 00:04:14–00:07:23: fuses with S into G.T.
• ep 0094–0097: as G.T., strikes Goku down (ep 0094 00:37:23–00:37:52), is wounded by Vegeta’s Blood Bullets (ep 0095 00:29:23–00:32:58), and is finally beaten by Seraphim Goku (ep 0097 00:12:06–00:42:16).
• ep 0098 00:02:57–00:03:23, 00:41:48–00:42:19: G.T. tells Vegito that Goku is different and will save them; Vegito absorbs him.
• ep 0099 00:04:04–00:04:17: Dai vows to avenge Z and S.
• ep 0100 00:38:58–00:42:04: G.T. appears as one of Vegito’s apparitions and is erased by Dai’s power-up.

Open questions

• Is the “Akobet” Z channels the elder angel Akobel? Likely, never confirmed — see open questions.
• How strong was he really? He says full power would end Zeno’s show and never shows it (ep 0087 00:38:49–00:39:09); see zenos-guards.
