Overview

The legendary assassin of Universe 6 — “I am Hit of Universe 6” (ep 0073 00:19:15) — over 1,000 years old and “not aged a day”, and a student of Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time (ep 0035 00:20:32–00:21:04; ep 0036 00:28:54–00:29:27). Hired to kill Vegito, whom he calls Son Goku and treats strictly as a target, he lost to him and was left alive with a one-life time ring (ep 0035 00:26:32–00:27:30; ep 0036 00:02:01–00:02:21, 00:18:03, 00:35:30–00:38:04). He came back with that ring’s death skip and his time domain, was possessed by Makoto and freed, and then sided with Vegito: his handshake passed Vegito the last time ring, and he brought King Vegeta, Bardock and a Saiyan army through time against the demons (ep 0073 00:26:01–00:28:21, 00:45:12; ep 0078 00:25:40–00:25:50; ep 0089 00:41:07–00:42:13; ep 0103 00:34:46–00:36:50). As of his last appearances he serves Chronoa alongside Whis, cannot fight in the Elder Gods’ tournament, and quietly hands Vegito a timeline of his own choosing (ep 0183 00:38:21–00:39:07; ep 0188 00:14:30–00:15:06; ep 0189 00:34:22–00:35:16).

Affiliations & relationships

• Unnamed client: who hired him “should be obvious” (ep 0036 00:04:26–00:04:32). See hit-contract.
• Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time: “my master” (ep 0036 00:28:54–00:29:06); she calls him “my dear student” (ep 0090 00:48:10–00:48:13); he learned his time skip from her (ep 0185 00:27:34–00:28:24). With Whis, one of her two disciples (ep 0188 00:14:30–00:15:06).
• Ultra Vegito: “There are no friends in my line of work” (ep 0036 00:02:01); Vegito calls him “old friend” and “a genius” (ep 0036 00:31:13–00:31:34).
• Goku Black: probably his “target number two”, “Another time ring abuser” and a Saiyan (inferred: Black is the next to reach him, ep 0035 00:28:35–00:28:45; ep 0036 00:37:28–00:37:40; never confirmed later).
• Jiren: fought him in the Tournament of Power (ep 0073 00:19:19); “old friend” (ep 0073 00:27:54); the real Jiren tries to warn him (ep 0073 00:44:09–00:44:16).
• Makoto: sees through his possession of Jiren — “Most likely a body snatcher” (ep 0073 00:20:39); possessed by him in turn: “Hello new vessel… your new host” (ep 0073 00:45:12–00:45:17); narration later says plainly that Hit was “taken over… by the blood demon Makoto” (ep 0077 00:34:57–00:35:12).

Abilities / traits

• Hides his presence completely, even from Vegito (ep 0035 00:19:55–00:20:07; ep 0036 00:01:25–00:01:30).
• Long-range beams of “extremely condensed air” from his fist that pierce Vegito’s heart (ep 0035 00:24:22–00:25:25).
• Time Skip (his known technique) and Time Leap, a new one Vegito can’t follow (ep 0036 00:05:04, 00:07:27–00:07:31).
• Time clones — “Perfect copies of my energy”, possibly dozens hidden at once (ep 0036 00:18:13–00:18:36).
• Time pocket (move heard as “time lag”) — traps a target in a space where time runs 500 times slower (ep 0036 00:24:39–00:26:51).
• Remembers the face and techniques of every target (ep 0036 00:18:07–00:18:12).
• Death skip — with the glowing time ring: “Every time you kill me… I will skip death entirely… And return again”; the bodies left behind are versions of him from other timelines (ep 0073 00:26:07–00:26:10, 00:28:08–00:28:21).
• Time domain — “my infinite time loop”: a dimension of multicoloured glass shards, like the one his time skip passes through, where he can hit “hundreds of times… Instantly” with “multiple versions of myself”, phase through attacks and “skip death itself”; he calls up “200 real versions of me… From 200 different timelines… Each split by less than a nanosecond” (ep 0073 00:30:01–00:31:05, 00:33:32–00:34:02, 00:37:18–00:37:41, 00:39:59–00:40:06). Outside, the fight leaves no visible mark (ep 0073 00:42:38–00:42:59).

Variants

• Hub: Hit.
• Hit (god-killer Vegeta’s timeline) — watches god-killer Vegeta’s final test in Universe 6 (flashback, ep 0204).

Status

• Alive, serving Chronoa (ep 0183 00:38:21–00:39:07); last seen handing Vegito a timeline (ep 0189 00:34:22–00:35:16).
• Earlier, in order: left alive and unconscious with a one-life time ring (ep 0036 00:35:30–00:37:10); back after “being missing for so many chapters”, with “the last and only remaining time ring”, which Black had never noticed (ep 0072 00:33:00–00:33:56); killed three times — beheaded, evaporated, cut in half — and back each time (ep 0073 00:23:09, 00:26:27, 00:29:04); stabbed by a blood tail from Jiren’s body (ep 0073 00:44:47–00:45:26) and possessed by Makoto, with red Seraphim eyes (ep 0077 00:34:57–00:35:12); freed, unconscious beside Jiren (ep 0078 00:25:40–00:25:50); on Vegito’s Earth through a time portal with a new time ring (ep 0102 00:56:46–00:57:08).

• ep 0190 00:34:22–00:34:53: (mentioned) Cumber says “the Purple Man” told him he would meet another full-blooded Saiyan; Vegito: “So Hit visited you in advance”. Cumber recalls it again (ep 0191 00:13:31).
