Aliases & name spellings

• Bardock; “father” (Vegito, ep 0031 00:13:46).

Overview

Goku’s father, a Saiyan of Planet Vegeta (ep 0031 00:11:43), in the Planet Vegeta timeline. There, just after he and Gine sent baby Kakarot away, Vegito brought the pod back and told them Frieza was dead and the boy needn’t leave (ep 0031 00:11:27–00:13:46). Hit later brought him from that timeline to Vegito’s Earth (ep 0102 00:58:08–00:59:22), where he fought the demons as “Commander Bardock” and a grandfather to Gohan and Goten; killed by Dante (ep 0144 00:35:49–00:37:48), he was revived by Goku (ep 0155 00:06:46–00:07:33). As of ep 0220 he is among the fighters inside Ultra Vegito, “whether dead or alive”, lending him power (ep 0220 00:03:37–00:03:59).

Affiliations & relationships

• Gine: his wife (ep 0031 00:11:43).
• Goku (Kakarot): his son (ep 0031 00:11:54).
• Ultra Vegito: who notices “Look at that hair! That’s Kakarot all over!” (ep 0031 00:12:48–00:12:51).

Abilities / traits

• “Omen Ultra Instinct form”, with a silver eye under his bandana (ep 0114 00:48:21–00:48:33).
• Natural Ultra Instinct in “this version of Bardock” (ep 0144 00:16:08–00:16:20); yellow (Ikari) eyes under his bandana (ep 0144 00:10:41–00:11:03).
• Supreme Instinct Bardock (ep 0144 00:20:01–00:22:26): Super Saiyan gold with a hint of green, Ikari-yellow eyes and lightning, a faint MUI aura; cracks Dante’s mask with a head-butt (ep 0144 00:28:13–00:30:47).

Variants

• Hub: Bardock.
• Bardock (Planet Vegeta past, ep 0054) — sees Vegito and Yamoshi fighting and hurries to send Kakarot away.

Status

• Came to Vegito’s Earth, blindfolded (ep 0102 00:58:08); killed by Dante, his face torn off (ep 0144 00:35:49–00:37:48); revived by Goku (ep 0155 00:06:46–00:07:33); last seen on his own at ep 0178 00:23:28–00:23:46; inside Ultra Vegito by ep 0220 00:03:50, which is not explained.
