Summary

The time-ring Trunks hides the lightning in his hand from Goku, calling it his body getting used to powering up again, and tells the rest of his story (ep 0126 00:01:09–00:02:14). In his timeline Lucif won the final battle against Dai and Zeno and sent demons everywhere; only Vegeta was left to guard Earth and Bulma, and both were dead before Trunks got back (ep 0126 00:02:51–00:03:28). He saved what planets he could alone, but the demon and mortal realms merged and Lucif came back so strong that nothing Trunks did could hurt him; Lucif’s arm went through him, and he escaped through a time portal, spending one of the time ring’s two lives to heal (ep 0126 00:04:41–00:10:57). Goku tells him he and Vegeta are spread across the universe as a thousand clones; Trunks’s plan is to stop the “soul siphoning” on most planets, which in his timeline began after three quarters of Universe 7 fell, and to move on to the other universes since Bulma’s teams are handling Universe 7 (ep 0126 00:11:33–00:14:53). They find Vegeta, in Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, beset by two demons; Goku catches one and Trunks erases both, and Vegeta, after mocking a son “too weak to save your timeline again”, says he is proud to see him surpass him as a godkiller (ep 0126 00:16:12–00:24:34). On team 4’s planet, Super Saiyan Rage Trunks kills both Garlic Jr.-like brothers, the second with his dead brother’s scythe arm, and then, back in base, cuts the big green demon’s face in two; Goten recovers in Bardock’s arms (ep 0126 00:25:13–00:33:58). Goku, Vegeta and the time-ring Trunks step out of a portal onto a planet that feels familiar to both Saiyans, and find Kale and Caulifla lying hand in hand, covered in blood (ep 0126 00:34:22–00:36:02).

Key events

  • 00:01:45–00:01:56 Trunks hides the lightning: “just my body getting used to having to power up again”.
  • 00:02:51 “in the final battle against Dai and Zeno, just like with you guys, Lucif was unleashed. The gods were gone, and Earth was back. But at the cost of the devil, now running things.”
  • 00:03:28 “only one left was my father, doing all he could as a Super Saiyan 2 to defend my mother… by the time I escaped Lucif and got back to Earth, he was already gone. I lost them again. Twice.”
  • 00:03:53 Trunks “was lucky to have not been sent down to the demon realm like Vegito” [?].
  • 00:04:41–00:05:03 He saved planets alone with his green Seraphim, but could not save enough.
  • 00:05:21 “The merger of the demon and mortal realms. And finally, the return of Lucif from the shadows.”
  • 00:06:14–00:06:24 “You being there. Father. Vegito. It would have made no difference… Maybe we could have stopped the merger.”
  • 00:07:06–00:08:26 After the merger Lucif shrugged off his punches, his godslayer blade and a blast “that would have taken out an entire universe”.
  • 00:08:53–00:09:07 Lucif’s arm goes through Trunks’s body.
  • 00:09:24–00:09:55 Trunks escapes through a time portal; Lucif “had never seen the time ring used in person”.
  • 00:10:37–00:10:57 “I used my time ring to escape death and completely heal… Damage that no Buu body would simply recover from… Now only one life remains on it.”
  • 00:11:28 Goku: Lucif became “the omni-devil I heard about”.
  • 00:11:33–00:11:45 Goku: “Vegeta and I are using multiforms to spread ourselves a thousand times all across the universe. We’ve managed to save most of it by now I think.”
  • 00:12:13 Trunks: “I never did meet the Tien Shinhan of my timeline.”
  • 00:12:39–00:12:48 Goku: “Kami was right… To merge the realms and gain ultimate power. Strong enough, he could challenge the higher gods.”
  • 00:13:17–00:13:29 Trunks perks up at “Higher… Gods!”; Goku drops the subject.
  • 00:14:14–00:14:53 Trunks: “not every planet needs to be saved, just the majority. Stopping the soul siphoning… he can only complete a merger of that scale with enough energy… it only started after around three quarters of Universe 7 was taken over.”
  • 00:15:14 Goku: “Just don’t mention to your old man that I’ve got these green eyes now.”
  • 00:16:12–00:16:19 Vegeta “in his evolution blue form”.
  • 00:17:49–00:18:40 A balding demon attacks Vegeta from behind; Goku, in base, catches his punch.
  • 00:19:03 Vegeta: “Didn’t I tell you not to get in my way again?”
  • 00:19:44–00:20:07 Two blasts erase both demons — Trunks: “It’s me, father!” (00:20:46).
  • 00:21:53–00:21:57 Vegeta: “Those eyes! Green Seraphim!”
  • 00:22:41–00:22:58 Trunks tells Vegeta everything, including the move “to the other 11 universes”.
  • 00:23:17 Vegeta: “We’ll leave the rest to Gohan and the others”.
  • 00:23:25–00:23:32 Vegeta: “too weak to save your timeline again… a common occurrence from any version of my son from the future”.
  • 00:24:16–00:24:25 Vegeta: “You’re the Godkiller… You did what Kakarot and I had to combine to do… I’m proud to see you surpass me, son”.
  • 00:24:53–00:24:57 “the three Seraphim Saiyans” open a portal to the next universe.
  • 00:27:06–00:27:26 Rage Trunks smashes down on one demon brother, killing him.
  • 00:28:05–00:29:17 He tears off the dead brother’s scythe arm, cuts off the other’s drill, then splits his skull.
  • 00:30:05–00:30:37 Bardock hammers the big demon into the dirt at Trunks’s feet.
  • 00:31:00 The big demon: “You and the other one Will die for what you’ve done to my brothers”.
  • 00:31:39–00:32:40 Back in base, Trunks: “You’ll pay for what you did To my best friend” — the demon’s face splits in two, “In a nostalgic scene”.
  • 00:33:22–00:33:58 Goten, in Bardock’s arms: “You better teach me how to do that too”; Trunks: “I definitely will”.
  • 00:34:24–00:35:13 Goku, Trunks and Vegeta arrive on a planet with little life; Goku: “Kinda feels Like I’ve been here before”; Vegeta: “somewhere from my youth”.
  • 00:35:38–00:36:02 “Kale And Caulifla… Hand in hand… covered in” blood — “maybe murdered”.

Threads

Uncertainties

  • “like Vegeta-o” (00:03:53) is read as “like Vegito”, who was sent to the demon realm (ep 0102).
  • The last planet is not named; the title points to Universe 6, and both Saiyans feel they’ve been there before (inferred: Universe 6, perhaps the Saiyans’ world there).
  • “the three Seraphim Saiyans” (00:24:53) counts Vegeta as a Seraphim user too (he showed a Seraphim eye in ep 0120).
  • The big demon calls the two short demons “my brothers” (00:31:00); the short ones called each other “brother” in ep 0125.
  • Whether Kale and Caulifla are dead is left open here (“maybe murdered”, 00:36:00); next episode Caulifla is found dead and Kale alive (ep 0127 00:04:06–00:05:06).
