Summary

As the Dragon Smite closes on Frieza, a burst of energy breaks it: Ultra Vegito, in his final Ultra form, has clawed the dragon away (ep 0076 00:01:01–00:04:57). He asks Goku whether he meant to kill Frieza “Despite my plans of training him”; Goku says he knows how important Frieza is to “our plan” and was about to stop (ep 0076 00:05:45–00:06:40). Alone and confused, Frieza is approached by Goku Black — who, like Yamoshi, was never put back into Vegito — and told that the Saiyans are “fattening you up, to eventually take your powers too”; naming himself Zamasu, a Supreme Kai now “taken in like a slave”, Black invites Frieza to follow him, and Frieza does (ep 0076 00:07:36–00:15:40). Vegeta, worried, asks Vegito for someone to push him “beyond, Kakarot!”, and Vegito spits out Broly, who agrees to spar in exchange for the safety of Cheelai and Lemo — and chocolates (ep 0076 00:18:52–00:24:14). Goku, saying Vegito will learn his secrets once they are fused again, challenges him and evaporates his broken armour with an unseen blast; he outmatches Vegito’s Ultra form and knocks him down (ep 0076 00:17:38–00:31:51). He explains: in two years he built a mind space of his own, where the angels Vegito absorbed — replicated from their divine energy — talked and trained with him until he gained his first “Seraphim eye” (ep 0076 00:32:05–00:33:40). Doubting that is better than “this so-called Lucif within me”, Vegito becomes true demon Vegito; his Toppo and Guts apparitions blast Goku, and he thrusts his left arm into Goku’s point-blank Kamehameha, which explodes on both and erases the arm (ep 0076 00:34:08–00:42:53). His eyes turn blood red; he calls Goku “Son Goku” at last: “The real battle begins now” (ep 0076 00:43:03–00:43:35).

  • Narration calls Vegito “Vegeta” at 00:33:49 and 00:35:10, and has Goku compare the demon form with “Vegito’s” at 00:37:10; both corrected from context (Vegito is the one knocked down and transforming; Goku is comparing him with Vegeta).
  • Black’s claim that Vegito means to absorb Frieza is Black’s own; nothing Vegito says here confirms it. Frieza himself spoke of “re-assimilating” Vegeta with Vegito (ep 0074 00:36:05).
  • Who “interfered” with the Dragon Smite (00:06:40) — Vegito (inferred).
  • Whether Broly’s partner Merus is out too isn’t shown: Broly asks, and isn’t answered.
  • Vegito lost his left arm (the narration doesn’t say whether it regrows).
