Summary

Goku, glowing white and calm in a way Vegeta hasn’t seen “Not since he first arrived on Namek”, stands between Vegeta and Black Demon Frieza; Vegito, watching with folded arms, notes Goku has been away about two years and returned just as Frieza ascended (ep 0075 00:01:00–00:03:56). Goku slips behind Frieza unsensed, leaves an after-image, and heals Vegeta’s horn wound with a glowing hand: “I went down my own path. Just like you did” (ep 0075 00:05:47–00:09:26). Frieza’s death beams pass through Goku’s body as if he weren’t there, and Goku walks on through them (ep 0075 00:11:40–00:15:20). Held up by the wrist — Frieza boasting “I am the great demon’s next host after all!” — Goku dodges everything, breaks Frieza’s wrist with his grip and slaps him across the field (ep 0075 00:17:06–00:21:46). Vegito tells the stunned Vegeta that Goku now has “the power of the royal guards”, nearing “the level of Zeno, all by himself”; Vegeta swears to surpass him again (ep 0075 00:22:25–00:24:35). Goku, feeling as if time has slowed, toys with the powered-up Frieza, out-thinks him in a Kamehameha clash and gets behind him (ep 0075 00:25:41–00:32:42). When Frieza raises a huge demonic Death Ball over the whole place, Goku answers with a “Dragon Smite” — a holy smite like Z’s, a vast white dragon from the heavens that is on the verge of swallowing Frieza and his ball (ep 0075 00:33:01–00:36:46).

Key events

  • 00:01:43–00:02:00 Frieza: “Another Monkey! And this time it’s him!… how could he block my death beam, still with that damn black hair? Why does this all feel so familiar?”
  • 00:02:11–00:02:18 Goku: “My buddy Krillin throws rocks harder than that.”
  • 00:02:27–00:02:34 Goku is “glowing in mysterious white energy”.
  • 00:02:49–00:02:58 Vegeta: “I’ve been stuck with him now for over 10 years! And I haven’t seen him like this once! Not since… he first arrived on Namek!”
  • 00:03:17–00:03:56 Vegito, arms folded, “missing in action for a while now”: “Kakarot has been away now for around 2 years, and he arrives just as Frieza ascends too! Either that’s the work of Arge, or these two really are linked by fate!”
  • 00:05:31–00:05:36 Frieza: “I just beat one of you apes without trying, and you will be no different!”
  • 00:05:54–00:06:28 Goku speaks from behind Frieza, who hadn’t sensed him at all.
  • 00:06:45–00:07:23 Frieza’s back fist meets only an after-image.
  • 00:08:28 Goku to Vegeta: “I’ve gained what you told me to, old friend. I went down my own path. Just like you did.”
  • 00:08:43–00:09:26 Goku’s glowing hand heals the hole from Frieza’s horn — “My wound is gone!”
  • 00:11:08–00:11:14 Frieza: “you’re no main character this time, ape! You’re a side character, spat out by that other monkey!”
  • 00:11:40–00:13:08 A flurry of black death beams passes through Goku’s body, even his skull, “as if he does not even exist”.
  • 00:13:23–00:13:28 Goku: “Your aim is really bad today. Maybe… I should heal you too.”
  • 00:13:34–00:14:12 The beams nearly hit Vegeta, who jumps clear.
  • 00:14:26–00:14:37 Vegeta: “They went straight through him! Was that… Ultra Instinct? But why couldn’t I see his movements then?”
  • 00:15:27–00:16:21 Goku vanishes and reappears with his palm on Frieza’s chest: “you’re just way too open.”
  • 00:17:06–00:17:52 Frieza grabs his wrist and lifts him: “How do you feel to be the shorter one now, Monkey?”
  • 00:18:22 Frieza: “I am the great demon’s next host after all!”
  • 00:18:28–00:18:41 Held by the wrist, Goku dodges Frieza’s punch flurry.
  • 00:19:11–00:19:53 Goku frees himself, grabs Frieza’s wrist and breaks it with his grip alone.
  • 00:20:18–00:20:30 Goku recalls “when he first turned into a Super Saiyan on Namek [?]”.
  • 00:21:14–00:21:46 A slap sends Frieza flying “as if struck by a wrecking ball”.
  • 00:21:59–00:22:07 Vegeta: “he struck him with just his bare hand… I couldn’t even scratch him!”
  • 00:22:25–00:22:51 Vegito appears beside Vegeta: “if I pushed him down the right path… he’d come back with something. But to think, he’d come back with this…”
  • 00:23:03–00:23:41 Vegito: “Not even the five so far, come close to this. This, is the power of the royal guards, Vegeta! Kakarot, is approaching the level of Zeno, all by himself!… Kakarot, reached, the level of the guards alone!”
  • 00:24:12–00:24:35 Vegeta: “even in here, that clown finds a way to one-up me!… I am one half of you too, Vegito, and I will not allow for him, to make our union lopsided! Mark my words, I will surpass Kakarot again!”
  • 00:25:14–00:25:28 Frieza, bleeding, powers up again.
  • 00:26:13–00:26:30 Goku: “these eyes it’s almost like time has slowed down… so this is what Z felt fighting vegeta” (as heard).
  • 00:27:40–00:27:53 “I think I’ll go with option a then” — a kick to Frieza’s face.
  • 00:28:39–00:28:46 Goku reappears with two fingers to Frieza’s forehead; Frieza’s slash finds only empty space.
  • 00:29:24–00:29:34 Goku: “can’t you just transform again… if you’re holding back let it out already”.
  • 00:30:03–00:30:09 Goku: “I’m not too sure your track record with beam struggles is the greatest with me”.
  • 00:30:34–00:31:06 Goku begins a Kamehameha; Frieza fires early.
  • 00:31:21–00:32:09 Goku fires at the ground, rockets into the sky “original dragon ball style”, and lands behind Frieza so fast “goku’s kamehameha [?] continues to exist on its own”.
  • 00:32:35–00:32:42 Goku: “I’m just testing out what I can do in this new form of mine”.
  • 00:33:01–00:33:32 Frieza flies up — “I will wipe all of you apes from this place” — and charges a Death Ball “with his demonic energy now combined and intertwining with it”.
  • 00:34:07–00:34:16 Goku raises one hand; his Seraphim eyes glow brighter.
  • 00:34:57 Goku: “I don’t need to move from this spot to try this one out”.
  • 00:35:41–00:36:46 “Dragon smite”: “son goku with his new seraphim eyes would have a holy smite of his own just like z but his would seem to be on an entirely new level” — “a stunning white dragon… from the heavens”; Frieza and his Death Ball are “on the verge of completely being swallowed whole and erased on the spot”.

Uncertainties

  • counting noise (“5.”, “6.”) during Frieza’s power-up was dropped.
  • From 00:26:13 the transcript runs on in lowercase without line breaks, so timestamps there mark long stretches.
  • “so this is what Z felt fighting vegeta” (00:26:30): Z fought Vegito, not Vegeta (eps 0060–0063)
  • “the work of Arge” (00:03:48) is unclear — a name? (compare “Thanks, Arge.”, ep 0057 00:05:07).
  • Vegeta has been “stuck with” Goku “for over 10 years” (00:02:49) — consistent with the pyramid years (inferred).
  • The episode ends before the Dragon Smite lands.
