Aliases & name spellings

• Tien; “one of your victims” (Vegito to Kusu, ep 0015 00:19:33); “Tien Shin Han”, “the Three-Eyed Earthling” (narration, ep 0137 00:07:00, 00:07:09); “three eyes” (King Vegeta, ep 0137 00:15:17); “baldy” (likely, heard with [?]) (ep 0137 00:06:42). See names.

Overview

Human Z fighter of the three eyes, Tri-Beam, Solar Flare and multi-form technique, all of which Vegito borrows (ep 0015 00:18:55–00:19:36; ep 0092 00:41:21; ep 0110 00:09:18–00:09:27; ep 0129 00:36:32–00:37:23). In Vegito’s own timeline he died with Earth — “one of your victims”, Vegito tells the angel Kusu — and Vegito meant to revive him (ep 0015 00:19:33; ep 0092 00:41:21). Revived with Earth, he fought the demons, distrusted the Saiyans and went to space with Chiaotzu and King Vegeta, where Lucif’s royal guard beheaded him and sent his head to Lucif (ep 0102 00:40:03, 00:54:32; ep 0113 00:34:17–00:35:42; ep 0122 00:24:41–00:24:59; ep 0137 00:29:31–00:31:35). A copy of him met in the Devil’s sector, which the Devil says was the real one, is blasted by Vegito (ep 0160 00:12:40–00:20:08; ep 0161 00:28:44–00:28:58). Other timelines’ Tiens have their own pages (see Tien).

Affiliations & relationships

• King Vegeta: his teammate in space, who saves him and then dies before him; Tien refuses his hand, never trusting Saiyans (ep 0137 00:06:54–00:12:25, 00:13:27–00:13:52, 00:27:54–00:29:19).
• Ultra Vegito: calls him one of Kusu’s victims and means to revive him; borrows his Solar Flare, multi-form and multi-arm techniques (ep 0015 00:18:55–00:19:36; ep 0092 00:41:21; ep 0110 00:09:18–00:09:27; ep 0129 00:36:32–00:37:23).
• Vegeta: Tien teases his new humility; Vegeta tells him to stay on Earth (ep 0104 00:13:36–00:14:12).
• Lucif’s royal guard (Dante or Virgil, see Dante): his killer (ep 0137 00:29:31–00:30:30).

Abilities / traits

• The Solar Flare is his technique; Vegito borrowed it to escape (ep 0015 00:18:55–00:19:36).
• Tri-Beam Cannon: wipes out a demon army with it, and fires it twice at Lucif’s guard (ep 0103 00:15:25–00:15:39; ep 0137 00:27:54–00:29:19).
• Multi-form and multi-arm techniques, which Vegito and Goku borrow (ep 0110 00:09:18–00:09:27; ep 0113 00:39:52; ep 0129 00:36:32–00:37:23).

Variants

• Hub: Tien.
• Tien (Android-saga timeline) — one of the Z fighters Vegito meets at Gero’s lab (eps 0019–0020).
• Tien (god-killer Goku’s timeline) — erased by Beerus with the other Z fighters (ep 0193).
• Tien (Gogito’s multiverse) — at the Lookout and the Capsule Corp party in Gogito’s past (ep 0255).
• The Devil’s sector copy (ep 0160) is filed here, not as a version: the Devil says the people Vegito killed there were the real ones (ep 0161 00:28:44–00:28:58) (inferred: the series never says which Tien it was; see the open questions).

Status

• Dead (Vegito’s timeline): beheaded by one of Lucif’s demon guards; his head is taken to Lucif (ep 0137 00:29:53–00:31:35).

• ep 0113: impatient on the Lookout; distrusts the Saiyan army — “The last time we had Saiyans invade, it didn’t exactly end well” (00:34:17–00:35:42). Goku will borrow his multi-form technique (00:39:52).
• ep 0122 00:24:41–00:24:59: sent to space with Chaotzu and King Vegeta as team 2 — Bulma hopes he “may learn a thing or two”.
• ep 0129 00:36:32–00:37:23; ep 0138 00:13:00–00:13:42: (mentioned) Vegito uses Tien’s multi-arm technique, “I’m sure, Tien, will forgive me”; jokes Tien could learn from his regrowth.
• ep 0137 00:06:54–00:08:24: held down by a skull-faced demon; saved by King Vegeta, whose hand he refuses — he will never trust Saiyans (00:11:59–00:12:25).
