Summary

On a ravaged planet, Krillin saves a trapped child by beheading a demon with his Destructo Disc and slices up four more, while Gohan, tossing his senzu bag into the air, kills six demons before it lands (ep 0129 00:03:46–00:11:37). Gohan tells Krillin, who has lately been in the police force, that he is stronger than he thinks, but warns that Piccolo expects a demon king or emperor (ep 0129 00:12:25–00:13:00). A shot meant for Krillin goes through Gohan’s torso: the cowboy-like demon Red (as heard), “the legendary sharpshooter”, whose pistols were a gift from Lucif (ep 0129 00:14:28–00:19:11). Gohan heals with a senzu, promises to kill him and knocks him flying, but Red draws a second pistol and outpaces even Super Saiyan 2 Gohan with a barrage of shots (ep 0129 00:16:52–00:24:17). Battered, Gohan tells Krillin he is just getting started and opens his eyes red — the early stage of his beast form (ep 0129 00:25:01–00:25:37). In the demon realm, Vegito, with new eyes after absorbing Mello, walks into sector 3’s empty wasteland and meets its emperor: a pale, white-haired, black-horned boy who says the other demons disappeared when he took the throne (ep 0129 00:25:50–00:29:22). Vegito kicks him into a spray of blood, but the boy reforms on a Nimbus-like cloud of blood, then again after a second blow; Vegito notes he regenerates even faster than Buu (ep 0129 00:30:14–00:34:05). The boy stabs himself behind both shoulders to grow two arms of blood, and Vegito answers by borrowing Tien’s four-arm technique (ep 0129 00:34:17–00:37:23).

Key events

  • 00:01:12–00:01:26 A primitive planet “overrun by Lucif’s demons”.
  • 00:03:46–00:04:21 A Destructo Disc beheads a demon about to seize a trapped child.
  • 00:04:53–00:06:42 Krillin: “Looks like I still got it!” — the disc slices four more demons.
  • 00:07:23–00:07:43 He frees the child: “Hey Gohan! It’s all clear down here! We’ve got another survivor too!”
  • 00:08:20 Gohan is surrounded by six demons.
  • 00:09:40–00:11:31 Gohan throws his bag of senzu beans in the air, kills all six, and catches it.
  • 00:11:59–00:12:05 Krillin has taken the child to the other hidden survivors.
  • 00:12:28–00:12:40 Gohan: “You might have been spending most of your time in the police force recently. But you’re still way stronger than you think… You could have probably taken out Frieza if we had the current you back then.”
  • 00:12:53 “Mr. Piccolo said it could either be a demon king or a demon emperor.”
  • 00:13:36 Krillin: “I think I’m just about done with dying”.
  • 00:14:28–00:14:40 Gohan pushes Krillin aside and is shot through the torso.
  • 00:15:47–00:15:55 A demon with “an unmistakable cowboy like look, complete with a demonic looking pistol”.
  • 00:16:25 “a pistol gifted to me by Lord Lucif no less.”
  • 00:16:52–00:17:19 Gohan eats a senzu bean; “a mini Zenkai boost”, white aura and yellow lightning.
  • 00:17:44–00:17:48 Krillin: “It really does feel like… I’m around another Goku!”
  • 00:19:03 “Or have you just heard of the legendary sharpshooter Red?”
  • 00:19:22–00:19:25 Gohan: “Here to challenge you. I’m here to kill you.”
  • 00:20:05–00:20:54 Gohan’s punch knocks Red back before he sees it.
  • 00:21:35–00:22:21 Red unmasks (a scar; eyes reddening) and draws a second pistol.
  • 00:22:35–00:23:40 Super Saiyan 2 Gohan can’t keep up; Red’s shots hit his back and pin him in a barrage.
  • 00:23:54 Red: “Seems even Lucif’s pistols overheat sometime.”
  • 00:25:06–00:25:31 Gohan: “I’m just getting started” — “the mysterious red of his beast-form eyes. Now in early stages of activation.”
  • 00:25:50–00:25:54 Vegito has “his own new set of eyes, freshly activated after absorbing the demon emperor of Sector 4, Mello”.
  • 00:26:01–00:26:27 Sector 3 is barren under thunder: “less somewhere demons would reside, and more like a battleground.”
  • 00:26:56–00:27:34 On a mountain: an adolescent-looking boy, hair “whiter than even the angels”, black horns, black and white garb, pale skin, “two sets of very strange and opposite eyes”.
  • 00:28:43–00:29:22 The boy: “Time is truly a blur down here. Especially, when I’m the only one left… When I became emperor, the rest of the demons here… disappeared.”
  • 00:29:36–00:29:37 “I thought I’d heard [?]… You were supposed to be some kind of hero.”
  • 00:29:56–00:30:11 Vegito: “every single one of you, has a new presumption over who I am… You all heard wrong!”
  • 00:30:14–00:30:37 Vegito’s kick bursts the boy into blood — “with no body parts, or internal organs to be seen”.
  • 00:31:37–00:31:50 The boy sits on a cloud of dark blood like “a certain flying nimbus”.
  • 00:32:04–00:32:22 “I won’t go down as easily, as those lower emperors. This is my ability… becoming a demon emperor, isn’t all just about power.”
  • 00:32:38–00:33:38 Vegito strikes from behind with green Seraphim eyes; the blood splits, rejoins and the boy reforms unhurt.
  • 00:33:48–00:34:05 Vegito: “He’s just like Buu too!… this one, seems to regenerate even faster. The power, that could be…”
  • 00:34:49–00:35:52 The boy stabs himself behind both shoulders; his blood rises into “two extra arms”.
  • 00:36:32–00:37:23 Vegito: “I’m sure, Tien, will forgive me for using this” — four arms, “Tien’s signature, multi-arm technique”.

Threads

Uncertainties

  • “Red” (00:19:03) is how the name is heard; the narration plays on “Red Dead” (00:22:01).
  • “As in an alternate timeline, his own father would mirror him” (00:25:40–00:25:46) — Vegito is Gohan’s father as Goku’s fusion; “alternate timeline” may be a slip for “alternate location” (inferred).
  • Whether the sector 3 boy is the dark figure with Vegito’s eyes seen at the end of ep 0128 isn’t said; his eyes are only called “strange and opposite” (00:27:28–00:27:34). We read that figure as Makoto (ep 0132) (inferred; see same-eyes-figure).
  • “He really did attack me… Kid or not, you really don’t care” (00:31:11–00:31:20) has no clear speaker.
  • Vegito’s unfinished “The power, that could be…” (00:34:05) suggests he wants the boy’s power (inferred).
