Aliases & name spellings

• Giin (spelling from the ep 0041–0042 titles and the uploader’s descriptions). Heard “Jin”, “Jinn”, “JIN”, “Jhin”, “djinn” (eps 0040–0042) — and earlier “Jin” in ep 0029 and “next to Jin” in ep 0010. “Lord Giin” (the wizard); “fish face” (Vegito, ep 0041 00:32:14). See names.

Overview

God of Destruction of Universe 12 (ep 0040 00:37:33–00:37:44). Another timeline’s Belmod called him “that blockhead with too much power” who murdered “the son, Of a prodigy known as Gaiba” (ep 0029 00:25:32–00:25:53). In Vegito’s own timeline (inferred: Vegito’s staff led him from Universe 6 to “the next god of destruction”, ep 0041 00:18:52, and Vegito later recalls Giin among the gods who erased the Z fighters, ep 0049 00:39:51) he kept the boy Gaiba sealed in a box for years as his ritual candidate and turned him on Vegito; when that failed he erased his own angel and then a whole planet to take Vegito with him. He was killed by Vegito in ep 0042.

Affiliations & relationships

• Martinu: his angel and, per the narration, “his master” (ep 0042 00:14:50–00:14:53); Giin erases him with a Hakai to catch Vegito, and apologises to him (ep 0042 00:15:27–00:17:09).
• The wizard (“Ghibli”, as heard): serves him in return for his planet being spared (ep 0042 00:07:58–00:08:01); erased by Vegito (ep 0042 00:10:06).
• Gaiba: his candidate; “We kept you alive all these years… So you could one day avenge your family” (ep 0041 00:31:11–00:31:18); later “a failure” (ep 0042 00:43:07).
• Fellow gods: hopes “the other three left” will repay him (ep 0042 00:43:50–00:43:57).

Abilities / traits

• Hakai as a giant beam (ep 0042 00:15:27–00:16:14) and on a whole planet, palms to the ground (ep 0042 00:44:23–00:44:50).
• Strong enough that Gaiba’s blow hurts him through his guard (ep 0041 00:28:17–00:28:26).
• Has studied Saiyans and their transformations (ep 0041 00:37:11–00:37:35).

Variants

• Hub: Giin.
• Giin (god-killer Goku’s timeline) — the first destroyer god-killer Goku kills (ep 0196).
• Giin (Gogito’s multiverse) — obliterated by Gogito (ep 0256).
• Ep 0029 (another timeline, mentioned): Belmod’s “Jin” is the same god — the same heard name, and the murdered “prodigy known as Gaiba” matches (ep 0029 00:25:32–00:25:53). Rumsshi’s “next to Jin” (ep 0010 00:20:59) means him too (see threads).

Status

• Dead: blinded, drained of his Hakaishin energy, his face torn off, and erased by Vegito inside a Pyramid of Power (ep 0042 00:52:36–00:55:40).

History

• ep 0010 00:20:59; ep 0029 00:25:32–00:25:53: (mentioned, as “Jin”).
• ep 0040 00:37:29–00:38:00: “The god killer awaits us… Awaken Geiber now!”
• ep 0041: meets Vegito with Martinu and the wizard; moves him to a no-transformation dimension; turns Gaiba on him.
• ep 0042 00:01:43–00:08:27: has the seal amplified; Gaiba transforms.
• ep 0042 00:10:55–00:22:11: attacks with Martinu; erases him with a Hakai; loses both legs to Vegito’s blade and is pinned by an energy collar.
• ep 0042 00:42:48–00:47:01: calls the Oracle Fish “a fraud” and erases the planet.
• ep 0042 00:47:08–00:55:40: wakes inside a Pyramid of Power; killed by Vegito.
• ep 0045 00:11:56: Martinu’s apparition is one of four angels Vegito sends at the first of the five strongest; all four are cut down.
• ep 0047 00:18:44, 00:35:20–00:35:33: Cukatail reports him fallen; Arak calls him his best friend.

Open questions

• “The other three left” (ep 0042 00:43:50–00:43:57) are the last three Gods of Destruction — Arak, Iwan and Mule (ep 0047 00:18:49; ep 0050 00:00:43–00:00:54). Which one “owes” him is never said; Arak, his best friend, is the likeliest (inferred: ep 0047 00:35:20–00:35:33).
