Summary

Sensing the giant Kaioken from Chronoa’s training realm, Ultra Vegito feels an energy “from my past” and teleports beside Chronoa, who teases that the Saiyan on stage knows him and wants him dead (ep 0242 00:00:33–00:03:51). Avalor says the ice he forms from the air’s water is strengthened by his energy and cannot melt, and buries Goku in a wall of ice; Goku breaks out and calls his technique “Kaioken… Times… Ten… Thousand”, made possible by Akobel (ep 0242 00:05:22–00:11:05). Vegito, who once pushed Kaioken to two thousand at great cost, thinks it suicide; Chronoa tells him the fire around Goku has a purpose (ep 0242 00:11:13–00:12:52). Goku’s flaming punch drives Avalor into the stage in a fiery blast that tears up every tile, leaving only Avalor’s head, unable to heal (ep 0242 00:13:17–00:16:49). Goku, his hands blown off by his own attack, explains that the flames drove the rising water vapour away so nothing could reach Avalor to refreeze him (ep 0242 00:17:30–00:19:24). He then draws all the fire into himself and is restored whole: as Zeus made Avalor the embodiment of water, Akobel made him the embodiment of fire, and fire around him always heals him (ep 0242 00:20:45–00:23:26). Goku blasts Avalor’s head away for good; Akobel mockingly calls the fight for himself and Zeus concedes the first match (ep 0242 00:24:13–00:26:23). Goku appears beside Ultra Vegito: he is the Kakarot who escaped when Vegito absorbed Gohan and his friends during “the Cell game”, hopes to free them and the Goku inside Vegito, and promises Vegito’s days are numbered (ep 0242 00:26:48–00:29:40). Elsewhere Gogito outfights Ranin with two black clones, erases his tail with Hakai and shrugs off a rain of blasts behind a Black Seraphim shield (ep 0242 00:30:37–00:37:29). Hera stops them for a “retrieval mission”: to win back one of his poached creations — Akobel’s Goku, meditating near the stadium (ep 0242 00:37:40–00:39:14).

Key events

  • 00:01:18–00:01:25 Ultra Vegito: “an energy from my past stretched far beyond what it should be.”
  • 00:03:36–00:03:42 Chronoa: “He says he met you… He wants to kill you too”.

  • 00:11:17–00:11:43 Vegito once pushed Kaioken to two thousand times; not even his Buu body could recover fast from that.
  • 00:12:34–00:12:50 Chronoa: the fire “Is no ordinary flame… created by him… for a reason”.
  • 00:15:00–00:16:22 Goku’s punch tears every tile from the stage.

  • 00:17:50–00:18:00 Goku’s hands blown off by his own attack.
  • 00:18:34–00:19:24 “Hot air rises… And that includes water vapor”: the burning pit keeps water from reaching Avalor.
  • 00:21:41–00:22:08 Goku absorbs the flames and is fully healed: “Akobel… Is Zeus’ son”.

  • 00:32:14–00:32:20 Gogito splits into two black clones.
  • 00:34:47–00:34:59 Gogito erases Ranin’s tail with Hakai — his destruction powers shown for the first time.
  • 00:36:30–00:36:41 The black Seraphim shield.
  • 00:38:17–00:38:45 Hera: a “Retrieval mission” to take back one of his “creations being poached”.

Uncertainties

  • Akobel’s Goku says Vegito absorbed Gohan and his friends during “the Cell game” (00:28:17–00:28:31); Vegito has visited a Cell-saga timeline before (timelines, ep 0041, 0181–0182), and his reaction suggests it is that one (inferred). The absorption itself has not been shown.
  • Avalor’s name is heard “Avalar” and “Abalar” in this episode.
  • The Kaioken multiplier is heard as “Times… Ten… Thousand” (00:11:02–00:11:04).
