Summary

Still inside the Pyramid of Power, Vegito pockets the dead Gaiba’s medallion and promises him an end to the gods’ tragedies “forever” (ep 0043 00:01:54–00:02:26). His clothes are in tatters — he has lost a shoe — and, remembering how the wizard’s spell turned Gaiba into a beast fuelled by rage and revenge, he decides he needs that kind of power too (ep 0043 00:02:48–00:04:04). With “Goodbye Giin. Time to deal with the last of your kind” he runs into a time portal and lands on Earth — “Home sweet home” — at the 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, just before the Buu saga (ep 0043 00:04:27–00:06:35). He wrecks all three punch machines with one touch while Goku, Krillin, Android 18 and Vegeta look on; Piccolo finds his energy “familiar” (ep 0043 00:08:30–00:10:34). Telling Goku he will “buy some time” for the late Gohan, he steps into the ring in Gohan’s place and asks Kibito to read his mind: he will show the power that gets “a certain pair’s attention” if Kibito restores his clothes (ep 0043 00:13:16–00:16:54). Kibito agrees and returns him to his original outfit (ep 0043 00:17:25–00:18:00). Vegito powers up past Super Saiyan straight into his final Ultra form, terrifying everyone (ep 0043 00:19:03–00:21:01). As planned, Spopovich and Yamu jump him and drain almost all his energy into their reader — “This is how Gohan felt” (ep 0043 00:22:28–00:25:00). Kibito heals him completely (“Angel level”), and Vegito races past the Z fighters, steals the full energy reader and teleports into Babidi’s ship (ep 0043 00:27:54–00:31:52). He blasts Dabura to ash at point blank, then offers Babidi his own god-rivalling energy for a new Buu — on one condition (ep 0043 00:32:29–00:35:31). The condition isn’t heard: the ship explodes, a lean, chiselled new Majin Buu rises, and Vegito steps out wearing the Majin “M” on his forehead — “Behold, the power of my hatred” (ep 0043 00:36:37–00:38:07).

Key events

  • 00:01:54–00:02:26 Vegito keeps Gaiba’s medallion: “as long as these gods exist, tragedies like your story will never end… I will put an end to all of this, forever.”
  • 00:02:48–00:03:05 The armour “wasn’t that good after all” (heard “armor bomber made” — perhaps “Bulma made”); he has lost a shoe (the armour came from the Cell-saga past, ep 0041).
  • 00:03:40–00:04:04 He wants the power the wizard gave Gaiba, “fueled by his rage and desire for revenge… I too, need that power increase.”
  • 00:04:27–00:04:29 “Goodbye Giin. Time to deal with the last of your kind.”
  • 00:04:42–00:05:16 “Home sweet home”; “Where are Kakarot and the others? This isn’t exactly where I wanted to head.”
  • 00:06:27–00:06:35 The 25th World Martial Arts Tournament, “Just before the Buu saga”.
  • 00:08:30–00:08:51 One touch destroys all three punch machines.
  • 00:10:29–00:10:39 Piccolo: the energy is “Familiar”; Vegito greets him as “Green man”.
  • 00:13:16–00:13:37 To Goku: “I’ll be sure to buy him [Gohan] some time.”
  • 00:15:29 “I’m an even stronger super saiyan than Gohan.”
  • 00:15:54–00:16:04 Kibito: “You’re not even a saiyan yourself. The Supreme Kai would not get this wrong.”
  • 00:16:34–00:16:54 “Look into my eyes and read my mind, Kibito!… restore my clothing”.
  • 00:17:45–00:18:00 Kibito restores his original outfit; “Old Shin is a lucky guy to have you around”.
  • 00:19:03–00:20:04 Super Saiyan, then straight into “his final, ultra form” — purple-and-white hair, black lightning, left eye pure black.
  • 00:20:12–00:20:17 Kibito: “This is the power of a Super Saiyan! But this energy… It feels divine!”
  • 00:21:16–00:21:37 Vegeta resents “Yet another clown [?]” challenging his throne.
  • 00:22:07–00:22:25 Yamu’s energy reader spins wildly: “He’s our guy!”
  • 00:23:20–00:23:33 Vegito (thinking): “Took you long enough!… Now to feel what Gohan felt!”
  • 00:24:14–00:24:51 The reader is driven into his stomach; he drops to base form, “More exhausted than he’d ever been”.
  • 00:25:04–00:25:07 “Now I’m glad those gods I [drained] feel this in their last moments at least” (heard “trained”).
  • 00:26:04–00:26:13 Kibito suspects the energy “may be far more than just Saiyan energy”.
  • 00:27:17–00:27:35 Shin: Majin Buu “should still be sealed for now”; the plan is to kill him while he sleeps. Vegeta: “Pathetic”.
  • 00:28:19–00:28:40 Kibito’s healing restores all his power: “pretty much… Angel level”.
  • 00:28:44–00:28:46 “Now I’m finally ready to get to Babidi and defeat Buu once again.”
  • 00:29:45–00:29:48 Shin: “What… In Universe 7 was that?”
  • 00:30:02–00:30:21 Vegito snatches the full energy reader from Yamu.
  • 00:31:13–00:31:40 Babidi and Dabura wait beside the sealed ball.
  • 00:33:12–00:33:51 “Die Dabura!” — a point-blank wave reduces the demon king to ash.
  • 00:34:27–00:34:57 To Babidi: the reader holds “My own power… That rivals even the gods… I’ll give it to you, but on one condition”.
  • 00:35:29–00:35:34 “What I want is…” — the scene cuts away.
  • 00:36:37–00:37:28 The ship explodes; a new Majin Buu — pink, far skinnier, two horns, a defined jaw.
  • 00:37:55–00:38:07 Vegito: “Behold, the power of my hatred” — a Majin symbol on his forehead, as Vegeta once had.
  • 00:38:30–00:38:55 The Z fighters and Shin react in terror to “Majin Vegito”.

Uncertainties

  • dropped a run of “To.” noise (00:12:35–00:12:46).
  • Several narration lines say “Vegeta” for the stranger and “Vegito” for Vegeta; they were swapped by context (see the cleaned header). The 00:09:19–00:09:40 block repeats 00:08:57–00:09:18 — one event.
  • Vegito’s exchange with Piccolo (00:10:40–00:11:44) is garbled in the transcript; it seems he asks to borrow clothes and Piccolo refuses unless he says who he is (inferred).
  • Whether this Buu-saga timeline is one Vegito visited before isn’t said. It isn’t the Android-saga timeline he changed (Android 18 and Mr. Satan are alive here) (inferred). “Home sweet home” may only mean Earth.
  • The condition Vegito puts to Babidi, and whether Babidi now controls him, aren’t shown.
  • “the last of your kind” (00:04:29) — the remaining gods (inferred).
