Also known as ”my son” Type (mentioned) Versions 4 — see below First appears 0005 (mentioned)
Hub page: four different Future Trunkses appear. Each has his own page.
Overview
Vegeta and Bulma’s son from a ruined future, who travels back in time (ep 0019 00:09:20; ep 0020 00:05:41). Vegito meets him in the Android-saga timeline, where Cell kills him (ep 0020 00:34:28–00:34:38), and again at Kami’s Lookout in another universe’s Cell-saga past (ep 0041 00:10:11). A Time Patrol Trunks from yet another timeline is sent to stop Vegito (ep 0048 00:05:17–00:05:37), and in god-killer Gohan’s timeline a Future Trunks dies saving Gohan (ep 0212 00:19:35–00:20:52). The ring-bearing god killer from another timeline, whose hair is “Reminiscent of the future variant”, is Ultra Trunks (ep 0122 00:31:44–00:32:17; see ring-stranger); Vegito’s own timeline’s Trunks is listed in the names.
Versions
| Version | Timeline / where | Episodes | Status at last appearance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Future Trunks (Android-saga timeline) | Android-saga timeline | 0018–0020 | dead, killed and absorbed by Cell (ep 0020 00:34:28–00:34:38) |
| Future Trunks (Cell-saga past) | Cell-saga past of an alternate universe | 0041; 0182 (mentioned) | alive at ep 0041 00:15:02; Cell says he was “not enough” (ep 0182 00:07:54) (inferred: beaten by Cell) |
| Future Trunks (Time Patrol) | his own erased timeline; Time Patrol | 0048 | unknown, fused into Gotenks whose chocolate bar is crushed (ep 0048 00:43:33) |
| Future Trunks (god-killer Gohan’s timeline) | God-killer Gohan’s timeline (flashback) | 0211–0212 | dead, erased by Gohan Black (ep 0212 00:19:46–00:20:28) |
Mentioned only
- The source series’ future Trunks, whose future Zamasu and Goku Black ruined and who moved to another timeline after the Zamasu incident (ep 0010 00:04:55, 00:06:11, 00:13:57). Possibly the same as the Time Patrol Trunks (inferred: that Trunks blames his own meddling for Black’s arrival, ep 0048 00:08:43–00:08:59).
- Not a Future Trunks: in Vegito’s dream a Super Saiyan Kid Trunks, with a sword Vegito gave him, trains with Vegito and Gohan, reaches Super Saiyan 2, and is blasted to dust by the dream-Vegito (ep 0071 00:14:26–00:30:36). He is a dream image of Vegito’s own timeline’s Trunks (inferred: a child, raised alongside Vegito and Gohan); see the “Trunks” and “Kid Trunks (dream)” rows in the names.
