Marcarita (main)
Aliases & name spellings
- Marcarita (the source series’ spelling). Heard “Margarita” (ep 0008); “Mark Reaton”, “Mark Rita”, “Marco Rita’s” (ep 0022); “Markarita” ×9 (ep 0028). See names.
- “female Whis” (Vegito, ep 0028 00:14:51); “that damn witch” (Vegito, ep 0026 00:16:42).
Overview
Angel of Belmod and of Universe 11 (ep 0008 00:15:44; ep 0179 00:29:20–00:29:25), with pigtails (ep 0008 00:16:44). Watching Vegito through her staff, she judged he had mastered destruction beyond the gods and Ultra Instinct on an angel’s level (ep 0008 00:17:24–00:19:21). She recruited Jiren with a slanted, mind-to-mind account of Vegito’s killings that left out the imprisonment and Earth’s erasure — even showing Vegito killing his own God of Destruction “in rebellion” (ep 0026 00:17:15) — and trained him 20 years in 10 days in the Pyramid of Power (ep 0022 00:01:58–00:03:03, 00:09:21–00:19:42; ep 0026 00:03:14, 00:16:42–00:17:47). Summoned by Jiren at Vegito’s demand, she fled, was caught by Vegito’s Cell tail and was drained and erased, pleading “It was all Belmod!” (ep 0028 00:14:42–00:19:12). Since then she appears only as one of Vegito’s apparitions (ep 0033 00:09:12; ep 0045 00:11:42–00:14:33; ep 0179 00:29:20–00:29:55).
Affiliations & relationships
- Belmod: her god (ep 0008 00:16:59).
- Sawar: “my brother” (ep 0008 00:17:01); also calls Whis her brother (ep 0008 00:19:10).
- Jiren: “our Jiren”; she recruited and trained him (ep 0022 00:02:47, 00:03:21–00:03:42); he later gave her up to Vegito (ep 0028 00:14:20–00:14:42).
- Ultra Vegito: her killer (ep 0028 00:18:24–00:19:12).
- Korn: fights beside her as an apparition (ep 0179 00:29:20–00:29:55).
Abilities / traits
- Her staff’s crystal ball shows distant events (ep 0008 00:15:31).
- Can show someone events by touching their forehead, and choose what to show (ep 0022 00:08:46–00:11:32).
- Access to the Pyramid of Power, like all angels (ep 0022 00:02:32).
Variants
- Hub: Marcarita.
- Marcarita (god-killer Vegeta’s timeline) — beside Belmod as Jiren is eliminated by Vegeta (ep 0205).
Status
- Dead: drained and erased by Vegito (ep 0028 00:18:24–00:19:12). Alive until then (ep 0008; ep 0022 00:01:41).
History
- ep 0008 00:16:30: (per Belmod) had promised no mortal would surpass an angel.
- ep 0008 00:16:59–00:18:26: Analyses Vegito’s growth.
- ep 0008 00:18:44–00:19:21: Puzzles over the staff obeying him.
- ep 0022 00:04:57–00:19:42 (flashback): finds Jiren, shows him the vision, tells him to become God of Destruction.
- ep 0022 00:02:22–00:03:42: describes the training to Belmod.
- ep 0026 00:03:14, 00:16:42–00:17:53: (mentioned) her version of events is exposed as a lie.
- ep 0028 00:14:42–00:16:40: summoned by Jiren; flees.
- ep 0028 00:16:49–00:19:12: caught by the Cell tail, drained and erased.
- ep 0033 00:09:12; ep 0034 00:08:15: appears as one of Vegito’s apparitions — a fully powered copy summoned from the energy he absorbed. See apparitions.
- ep 0033 00:09:12–00:09:22: her apparition slices off GT Gogeta’s arm “In just the same way Vegito’s once was” — Vegito’s arm was cut off by Kusu (ep 0015 00:05:47), so the narration compares the act, not the angel (inferred). GT Whis calls her “his own sister” (00:10:04).
- ep 0045 00:11:42–00:14:33: her apparition, with three other angels’, is sent at the first of the five strongest and cut down by his delayed slash.
- ep 0179 00:29:04–00:29:55: (apparition) in Vegito’s army against Lucif, she and Korn freeze angelic warriors and smother them in a bubble.
Open questions
- Did Belmod order her slanted vision, or was it her own doing? She blames Belmod (ep 0028 00:18:24–00:19:12); another timeline’s Belmod says she knew nothing of his ritual (ep 0029 00:14:35). Never settled.
