Overview

Goku’s old master, the Kai who lives on a small planet in the afterlife. The only King Kai shown on screen is that of god-killer Goku’s timeline: as Beerus erases Earth, he speaks to Goku telepathically and tells him to treat the destruction energy like his Spirit Bomb training, and Goku survives, changed (ep 0193 00:35:40–00:39:40). Afterwards Goku, with Vegeta, comes to his planet as “the only family he had left”; King Kai warns that Goku isn’t ready for Beerus, then points him to a way to get stronger (ep 0194 00:00:20–00:07:20).

As of his last appearance (ep 0194): alive, on his planet in god-killer Goku’s timeline (ep 0194 00:00:20–00:07:20).
