Yamcha (main)
Aliases & name spellings
Overview
Human Earth fighter. In the staff’s vision he joins the Z Fighters facing the gods but flees in tears rather than back Piccolo up (ep 0006 00:05:03, 00:14:54). He is back on Earth among the Z fighters revived by Zalama’s wish (ep 0102 00:40:03–00:40:13, 00:54:32), fights the demon invasion, and is sent to space with Piccolo, who teaches him to believe in himself (ep 0122 00:25:05–00:25:17; ep 0133 00:38:29–00:40:45). As of the latest episode he is dead: Whis, serving Lucif, killed him (ep 0134 00:01:34–00:04:08); a Yamcha in the Devil’s sector — the real one, the Devil claims — then had his head crushed by Vegito (ep 0160 00:11:32–00:17:37; ep 0161 00:28:44–00:28:58).
Affiliations & relationships
- Piccolo: left him alone with the gods (ep 0006 00:14:46–00:15:13); later his teammate in space, who taught him to believe in himself (ep 0122 00:25:05–00:25:17; ep 0133 00:38:29–00:40:45).
- Krillin: saves him from a demon behind him (ep 0103 00:13:06–00:13:55).
- Whis: his killer (ep 0134 00:01:34–00:04:08).
- Ultra Vegito: crushes the head of the Yamcha in the Devil’s sector (ep 0160 00:11:32–00:17:37).
Abilities / traits
- Wolf Fang Fist, through a horde of demons (ep 0103 00:13:06–00:13:55) and against three demons at once (ep 0133 00:38:29–00:40:45).
Variants
- Hub: Yamcha.
- Yamcha (Android-saga timeline) — at Goku’s bedside after the androids’ attack (eps 0023–0025).
- Yamcha (god-killer Goku’s timeline) — erased by Beerus with the other Z fighters (ep 0193).
- Yamcha (god-killer Vegeta’s timeline) — mocks Vegeta and is knocked out by one punch (ep 0202).
- The Devil’s sector Yamcha (ep 0160) is filed here, not as a version: the Devil says the people Vegito killed there were the real ones (ep 0161 00:28:44–00:28:58) (inferred: never confirmed; see Open questions).
Status
- Dead as of ep 0261: killed by Whis (ep 0134 00:03:17–00:04:08); not revived since.
- Earlier: fled before Earth’s erasure (ep 0006 00:15:03); whether he got off the planet isn’t shown, but he is among the Z fighters on Earth after the wish revives them (ep 0102 00:40:03–00:40:13, 00:54:32), so he most likely died with Earth (inferred). See yamcha-fled.

Open questions
- Did he escape Earth before the gods erased it? Never said; his return with the revived Z fighters (ep 0102 00:40:03–00:40:13, 00:54:32) suggests he died with it (inferred). See yamcha-fled.
- Was the Yamcha Vegito killed in the Devil’s sector the real one (ep 0161 00:28:44–00:28:58)? Only the Devil says so.
