Kefla
Aliases & name spellings
- Kefla — the Potara fusion of Caulifla and Kale. Once called “the fused warrior Caulifla” in the narration (ep 0037 00:13:03, corrected). See names.
Overview
The Potara fusion of Caulifla and Kale, formed with a pair of black, angel-grade Potara after years in the Pyramid of Power and appearing “for the second time in the series” in a mastered Legendary Super Saiyan form, bulkier than ever (ep 0037 00:11:22–00:13:15). Cocky — she calls Vegito “old man” (ep 0037 00:13:24) — she fought him alongside Cabba, lost an arm to his Hakai and flew her father, the King of Sadala, home (ep 0038; ep 0040 00:06:58–00:07:21). That is her last appearance: Kale and Caulifla are next seen as two people (ep 0126 00:35:38), and Kefla is never mentioned again.
Affiliations & relationships
- Cabba: fights beside him — “This is as much my fight as it is yours” (ep 0037 00:25:18–00:25:28).
- Ultra Vegito: wants a rematch “anything like the last time” — not (ep 0037 00:13:24–00:13:29).
Abilities / traits
- Mastered Legendary Super Saiyan (ep 0037 00:13:10).
- Blinding speed; a point-blank column of ki sends Vegito flying (ep 0037 00:24:14–00:24:55).
- Legendary Super Saiyan 3, self-taught — “infinitely stronger than any version of the form” seen before, with a spiked ball of aura (ep 0037 00:28:22–00:29:04).
- Angel-grade Potara: the fusion “will never defuse unless taken off” (ep 0037 00:11:27).
- Berserk rage like Kale’s: pupils gone, body bulked (ep 0038 00:18:03–00:18:40); “That Kale inside her gives her truly monstrous strength” (Vegito, ep 0038 00:20:09).
Variants
- No other version appears; the other timelines’ Kale and Caulifla are never shown fused.
Status
- No longer fused: Kale and Caulifla are found apart by ep 0126 00:35:38; the defusion is never shown, though the Potara “will never defuse unless taken off” (ep 0037 00:11:27).
- Earlier, in order: fused, in Super Saiyan 3, facing Vegito (ep 0037 00:29:23–00:29:52); still fused, missing an arm and drained, flying the king home (ep 0040 00:06:58–00:07:21) — Vegito had said she’d be whole again once defused (ep 0038 00:28:28–00:28:34).
History
- ep 0037 00:13:00–00:13:29: formed; challenges Vegito.
- ep 0037 00:24:14–00:25:35: blasts Vegito point blank.
- ep 0037 00:28:06–00:29:04: turns Super Saiyan 3 — she asked Vegito to teach her “literally decades ago”.
- ep 0038: struck by Cabba’s redirected beams; enraged by Vegito’s Ultra Ego, loses control (“reminiscent of Kale’s final form”) and beats him; her arm erased by his Hakai; knocked out, back in base but still fused.
- ep 0038 00:38:39; ep 0039 00:01:53–00:03:42: “Father!” — scolds the king for taking so long and for shaving.
- ep 0039 00:07:39–00:15:12: healed by Vados, gives the king her energy.
- ep 0040 00:01:50–00:07:21: one-armed and drained, nearly confesses to Cabba; carries her father away.
- ep 0126 00:35:38: (as Kale and Caulifla) the two are found apart, struck down; see Kale and Caulifla.
