Summary

Jiren tears his arm out of Vegito, throws him down and readies a Hakai: Vegito stole three decades from him, like Belmod, but made him live “a true version of hell” (ep 0058 00:01:41–00:04:30). Vegito’s pleas fail (ep 0058 00:05:01–00:06:19). Inside Vegito’s mind, Vegeta tells Goku — who has been training with the battered demon emperor — that Vegito “has become his own person”, “the embodiment… Of all the darkness and anger” left in their hearts, while Goku Black mocks them and Majin Buu longs for quiet (ep 0058 00:06:38–00:12:52). Jiren declares that Vegito is no Son Goku but the god killer — and that the day they met, Jiren became one too; from now on he alone will keep the peace (ep 0058 00:13:27–00:14:17). As the Hakai comes, Vegeta gives up, but Goku powers up through Super Saiyan 2 and Blue into his own Ultra form, the spitting image of Ultra Vegito, and leaves Vegito’s body by Instant Transmission (ep 0058 00:15:04–00:19:11). Before Jiren, Goku begs him to stop “for me… my friend” — killing Vegito would kill them too — and Jiren halts the Hakai before Goku is pulled back inside (ep 0058 00:19:26–00:21:53). Jiren refuses Vegito’s offer of partnership with a planet-scarring blast that misses, and flies off: Vegito’s vengeance is his own battle; Goku should “Escape While you still can” (ep 0058 00:24:34–00:28:50). Vegito, regretting losing Jiren, limps to the beaten Yamoshi, who demands a Saiyan’s death — instead Vegito conjures angel-grade Potara with Whis’s staff and forces a fusion (ep 0058 00:29:06–00:36:02). The new Vegito bears Yamoshi’s cheek mark; inside, Yamoshi wakes in a white void beside Goku, Vegeta, Black, Buu and the demon, attacks the two Saiyans in his Super Saiyan God form, and is stopped by one finger from Vegito, “the new strongest Saiyan in history” (ep 0058 00:36:17–00:41:16).

Key events

  • 00:01:41–00:02:40 Jiren rips his arm out, shoves Vegito down by the face: “Lay down right there. This place shall be your grave [?]”.
  • 00:03:27–00:04:30 “Your sins will finally be paid [?]. Something you’ve made me wait 3 decades for… just like Belmod… at least with him… I got to spend my days in the outside world… Yet you. Made me live in a true version of hell. Somewhere you knew I could even die.”
  • 00:05:01–00:05:31 Vegito: “I did this to stop another Belmod from ever doing something like what he did to you again.” Jiren: “I am done with your manipulation.”
  • 00:06:04–00:06:33 Vegito (thinking): “He doesn’t know me at all. He knows… Goku.”
  • 00:06:49–00:07:12 Inside: Vegeta: “It’s over. We’re all going to die in here”; Goku, battered from training.
  • 00:07:42–00:07:57 Goku Black: “Is this Vegito freak. Not just you. Fused with that other Saiyan.”
  • 00:08:13–00:08:41 Goku has been training with “That new guy who came in… really powerful” — the demon Vegito freed from Guts’s sword.
  • 00:08:54–00:09:29 Majin Buu: “Idiots… I for one am glad this Jiren… Is finally going to erase us… I’ve tried… To enjoy some peace and quiet. For weeks now.”
  • 00:10:18–00:10:48 Vegeta: “I haven’t been the one making decisions here. And neither have you for months now… Vegito has become his own person… Getting revenge for us. But in any way possible.”
  • 00:10:51–00:11:18 “the embodiment. Of all the darkness and anger. That remains in our hearts”; Jiren was locked in a room like the hyperbolic time chamber “For 30 years”. Goku: “That’s worse than even what the gods made us do.”
  • 00:12:03–00:12:44 Vegeta: Buu’s “whole body. And appearance. Altered because of what Vegito had been doing with the time rings”; nobody wanted Black inside; “We turned a blind eye to Vegito’s actions… things. Have gone too far.”
  • 00:13:27–00:14:17 Jiren: “You. Are no Son Goku. You. Are Vegito. The god killer. And the day you met me. Is the day. I too. Became one… I alone will maintain peace between the gods and mortals of this realm.”
  • 00:14:48–00:15:04 Jiren, “Former god of destruction of universe 11”, begins the Hakai.
  • 00:15:14–00:15:35 Vegeta, inside, folds his arms: “Even with the time rings. They won’t do much here… That Kaioken. Really did. Mess up everything.”
  • 00:15:54–00:18:07 Goku: Super Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan Blue, then “his own. Ultra form. Combining. Ultra instinct. With. Ultra ego” — silvery-white and dark-purple hair, no eyebrows, “A near. Spitting. Image. Of. Ultra. Vegito”; Buu panics.
  • 00:18:28–00:18:49 Vegeta: “When did you achieve that form?” — “I’ll tell you. Later.”
  • 00:18:56–00:19:11 Two fingers to his forehead — Instant Transmission — Goku vanishes.
  • 00:19:26–00:19:50 Before Jiren: “Jiren. Stop. For. Me. Please. My. Friend.” Jiren stops his Hakai.
  • 00:20:59–00:21:36 Goku: “forgive him… I didn’t want this And neither did Vegeta… if you kill Vegito [?] We’ll die too… We’ll do better by you in the future” — then vanishes back “As if by force”.
  • 00:22:26–00:22:41 Inside, Goku reverts to base: “It’s all up to you Jiren”.
  • 00:22:58–00:23:30 Goku: “it really shouldn’t have worked But I feel like In another life I’ve used instant transmission To do something similar” — a callback to an alternate Goku leaving heaven to save Gohan from Bojack.
  • 00:23:47–00:24:03 Vegito: “Kakarot escaped my body… my energy stayed the same I didn’t defuse”.
  • 00:24:34–00:24:50 Vegito asks Jiren to join him to “protect every mortal”; Jiren: “No… Never”.
  • 00:25:06–00:26:04 Jiren’s beam misses Vegito by nanometres; a crater half the planet long.
  • 00:27:35–00:28:35 Jiren: “I want nothing to do with you And your damn revenge… Mine was just against Belmod And he is gone… die a worse death By their hands… You can thank Son Goku for that… Carrying on within this creature Will be the death of you warrior Escape While you still can.”
  • 00:29:06–00:30:09 Vegito: “I went too far with him… Jiren even surpassed Yamoshi… I can’t let something like that happen again”.
  • 00:30:24–00:32:23 Yamoshi wakes: “You couldn’t beat me on your own… I will always remain the strongest Saiyan that ever lived… Kill me Erase me”.
  • 00:32:40–00:33:27 Vegito: “You are the strongest Saiyan That ever lived… I’m a direct descendant of you… You’re going to fit right in”.
  • 00:33:35–00:33:58 He summons “his angel staff” and conjures “two familiar black earrings” — “Angel grade Potara”.

  • 00:35:16–00:35:31 Vegito: “for the so-called strongest Saiyan in history With knowledge of the Saiyan forms And abilities That surpass even mine… Things will have to go a little different”.
  • 00:35:31–00:36:36 One earring on each; a fusion; one figure: Vegito, clothes restored, “a more raucous black lightning than usual Even while in base”.
  • 00:36:52–00:37:26 Inside, Yamoshi wakes healed in white nothingness “As if in the hyperbolic time chamber”: “Did he actually erase me in the end”.
  • 00:37:58–00:38:36 He sees Goku, Vegeta, Black, Buu and the demon: “He fused with me By force”.
  • 00:38:52–00:39:58 Full-power Super Saiyan God: “I’ll destroy you from the inside”; he attacks Goku and Vegeta as the two who made up the god killer.
  • 00:40:30–00:41:01 Vegito appears inside and stops the punch with one finger: “You’ll be doing nothing As you’re a part of me now Now settle down Before the new Strongest Saiyan in history.”
  • 00:41:16 Yamoshi: “That mark on your cheek”.

Uncertainties

  • The narration often swaps “Vegito” and “Vegeta” in the mind-space scenes.
  • 00:19:11–00:20:42 is broken into single words; how Jiren reacts beyond stopping the Hakai is garbled.
  • Goku’s “when did you achieve that form” — Goku answers “later” (00:18:47); how he reached a personal Ultra form isn’t said.
  • The demon emperor inside Vegito: Goku calls him “That new guy who came in… Doesn’t say much” (00:08:13); Vegeta doesn’t know how he got there (00:12:36).
