Summary

Zeus is shaken: the Saiyans Castiel and Hera made were always based on the volgar he designed millennia ago, but this Goku has reached so deep into his roots that he wields volgar abilities on top of his Saiyan ones, including King’s power to grow stronger at will (ep 0241 00:01:20–00:02:46). Goku’s two clones land blows on Avalor until ice from under the stage freezes them, and Avalor shatters everything to vapour (ep 0241 00:02:52–00:07:30). The real Super Saiyan 6 cracks Avalor’s face with a spinning kick, but Avalor grows into an ice mountain and his cracks fill with water and refreeze (ep 0241 00:08:14–00:11:21). Avalor explains he is not ice but water itself, created by Zeus as an element; Zeus withheld the power over all life, but water in the air heals him without limit, so short of the sun he cannot die (ep 0241 00:12:34–00:14:50). Their exchanges are even; Avalor’s ice-blade storm is melted by a sun-like flame, a power Goku gained training with Akobel, and a fiery Kamehameha takes off Avalor’s arm, but he regrows it (ep 0241 00:16:21–00:22:40). Kamehamehas, a double Destructo Disc and ever-higher volgar boosts change nothing, and Goku runs out of energy just as Ultra Vegito did; Avalor reminds him death isn’t required this round (ep 0241 00:23:17–00:28:29). Elsewhere Gogito watches on a screen; Ranin, grown older, calls himself his son “kind of”, and Gogito kicks him: “You’re no son of mine. Because I made sure… All of mine are dead” (ep 0241 00:31:21–00:35:09). Goku covers the whole stage in flame — Avalor wasn’t the target — then unleashes a Kaioken of ten thousand that cracks the stage; even Vegito senses a killer worthy of his life (ep 0241 00:35:23–00:39:07).

Key events

  • 00:01:39–00:02:13 Zeus: the Saiyans made by Castiel and Hera “were always based on the volgar I first developed millennia ago”; this Goku accesses volgar abilities “on top of his own Saiyan ones”.
  • 00:03:02–00:03:07 Two clones of Goku.
  • 00:05:52–00:06:43 Ice tentacles freeze the clones; Avalor turns all the ice to vapour.
  • 00:08:40–00:09:08 Goku’s kick cracks Avalor’s face.
  • 00:10:47 Avalor becomes “an ice mountain himself”.
  • 00:12:43–00:12:56 Avalor: Zeus “created an element itself. The element of water.”
  • 00:13:28–00:14:07 Zeus withheld “tremendous power over all life”, but gave him “Near enough invincibility. An infinite reincarnation.”
  • 00:14:29–00:14:50 Water in the air heals him automatically — “As long as we exist here and not on the sun itself”.
  • 00:19:56–00:20:15 Goku: the flame was the power he gained training with Akobel.
  • 00:21:33–00:22:34 A fiery Kamehameha takes Avalor’s arm; it regrows from the air’s water.
  • 00:25:34–00:25:46 “Double Destructo”.
  • 00:27:15–00:27:42 Goku runs out of energy — the same drawback Ultra Vegito faced.
  • 00:28:29 Avalor: Zeus “has not said death is a requirement for this round”.
  • 00:32:04–00:32:09 Gogito watches with his Black Seraphim.
  • 00:33:12–00:33:20 Ranin, “A little more grown… Due to his accelerated aging”.
  • 00:34:02–00:35:06 Ranin: “I am your son after all. At least kind of”; Gogito: “All of mine are dead.”
  • 00:36:31–00:36:38 Goku: “Doing nothing to you. Good. You weren’t the target.”
  • 00:37:40–00:37:44 “The largest Kaioken of all time”; narration: “Kaioken 10,000 Goku” (00:39:07).
  • 00:38:20–00:38:26 Even Vegito senses a killer “worthy of taking his life”.

Uncertainties

  • Avalor’s name is heard “Avalar” far more often in this episode; both are kept in the name bank.
  • The Kaioken multiplier is partly lost (“Ten. Times ten.” 00:37:15–00:37:19); the narration later calls him “Kaioken 10,000 Goku” (00:39:07).
  • What the stage-wide flames are for is left to the next episode; they seem meant to burn off the water in the air (inferred from 00:28:52–00:29:26).
  • Ranin’s claim to be Gogito’s son “kind of” (00:34:02–00:34:06) isn’t explained; he has called other Vegitos his father before.
