Summary

Ultra Vegito tells Demigra he isn’t Vegeta — every Saiyan has an energy signature that never changes — and turns away; when Demigra raises a devil manifestation, Vegito’s far larger horned devil apparition slices it in two (ep 0227 00:01:17–00:07:10). Vegito realises Demigra is “Yet another one of us… Just as Kazuya said”; Demigra, delighted, sees that Vegito has mastered the Devil Gene — “Son Gohan wasn’t our key here! It’s him!” (ep 0227 00:07:10–00:08:42). Vegito brushes off Chronoa and warns her to worry about herself (ep 0227 00:09:34–00:11:47). Genesis declares Hades the winner of Round 7 and Ares eliminated; Poseidon consoles Ares (ep 0227 00:11:51–00:14:27). A flashback shows young Zeus and young Ares fighting as rivals to lead the Elder Gods, until two giant metal hands stop them and Zeus calls out “Titan Summer” (as heard) (ep 0227 00:14:37–00:20:20). Zeus returns, explains the round-robin format with six teams left, and calls Round 8: a three-way 1v1 between Chronoa, Hera and Castiel (ep 0227 00:20:36–00:23:41). Castiel picks Goten; Zeus adds a rule that no fighter used in a 1v1 can fight consecutively, blocking Chronoa from choosing Vegito, so she sends god-killer Trunks — as Vegito planned (ep 0227 00:24:28–00:27:51). Hera calls “Ranin” (as heard) — the hooded Green Seraphim figure — who says all three fighters “are related by blood” (ep 0227 00:28:18–00:32:18). Goten and Trunks clash through Super Saiyan 2, Blue and green Seraphim; Ranin shatters Trunks’s sword, recalls “Using your body, brother!”, and shows one cyan and one red eye: he is the son of Vegito and Rani, now grown (ep 0227 00:32:32–00:38:24).

Uncertainties

  • The god-killer Trunks is Ultra Trunks: a god-killer Trunks with green Seraphim and his sword, picked by Vegito during training; in ep 0229 00:10:26–00:10:52 he cuts down the Lucif of “Trunks’ timeline”, who had “invaded” him, as in Ultra Trunks’s own story.
  • Ranin’s name is heard “Run in”, “Ranin”, “Ranen” and once “Rani”; spelling unknown.
  • “brother” (00:37:44) is inferred to be Trunks, whose body Rani’s child once used (ep 0171–0175).
  • “Titan Summer” (00:20:00) and “Fudusama” (00:20:36) are as heard and unexplained.
  • Zeus’s opening lines on his return (00:20:36–00:21:34) are partly garbled.
