Summary

Yamoshi, the third of the five strongest, calls Iwan’s end “pretty heartless”; Vegito complains it isn’t fair to fight him now, and Yamoshi says he could have beaten all three — he has just come from the demon realm, where he killed about a hundred demons, and the emperor Vegito absorbed was a weak one (ep 0054 00:01:11–00:04:39). Yamoshi’s eyes turn yellow and he powers up in white lightning; Vegito answers in black lightning, and their first punch sends a shockwave through the universe (ep 0054 00:04:55–00:07:23). They trade blows as equals, and Vegito’s Kamehameha meets Yamoshi’s “Final Ray” in an explosion that leaves both standing (ep 0054 00:07:38–00:15:01). Vegito kicks Yamoshi into a time portal, which drops him into the World Martial Arts Tournament final between young Goku and Piccolo; Vegito follows and pushes the two aside without killing them, and Yamoshi flees back through the portal (ep 0054 00:15:42–00:21:54). Their fight crashes through King Vegeta’s throne room and the sky over Planet Vegeta, watched by Bardock, who wants Kakarot sent away at once (ep 0054 00:21:54–00:26:05). Yamoshi, angry at Vegito’s disregard for “the laws of time travel”, opens a portal with Vegito’s own time rings and escapes to the present; he suggests the rings obey “a true deity”, and warns that Chronoa will have Vegito’s head (ep 0054 00:26:20–00:28:44). Vegito then transforms into his “ultra demon form” — fur, tail, a purple V crest and both horns — and claims Yamoshi was never his equal (ep 0054 00:30:21–00:33:12). Yamoshi agrees: he turns Super Saiyan, then declares himself “the first, and the only, true, Super Saiyan God”, and takes a red-haired, eyebrowless form “1000 times stronger than before” (ep 0054 00:33:44–00:37:42). Vegito can only mutter, “I… I can’t defeat you…” (ep 0054 00:37:42).

Key events

  • 00:01:11–00:01:37 Yamoshi: “So this is the famous Saiyan fusion… The godkiller”; that was “pretty heartless”.
  • 00:01:48–00:02:09 Vegito: he just beat “the two members beneath you and a god” — “Hardly fair”.
  • 00:02:21 Yamoshi: “I could have taken all three of those out without breaking a sweat.”
  • 00:02:52–00:03:26 He came from the demon realm: gods “keep the order of the universe in check”, dealing with “monsters like you” in the mortal realm and with demons trying to break out; he killed “about 100 or so”.
  • 00:03:46–00:04:04 Vegito: “I destroyed a so-called demon emperor in just one move”.
  • 00:04:21–00:04:39 Yamoshi: “not all demons nor emperors are created equal. Whatever you took down was weak enough, even Guts sealed it.” A hundred times stronger? “Yeah, something like that.”
  • 00:04:55–00:05:15 Yamoshi’s eyes turn from black to yellow “with a lone pupil” — “All that reminds us of only one species”; white lightning.
  • 00:05:32–00:05:52 Vegito: stronger than the two before, but without the “amazement” Guts gave him.
  • 00:06:51–00:07:23 Their fists meet; the shockwave damages every planet around; inhabitants panic.
  • 00:07:38–00:08:27 “our power levels seem almost even” — Yamoshi: “somewhat the same… For now”; Vegito’s Saiyan blood is fired up — “Mine too!” (a “big clue”).
  • 00:09:57 Vegito: “No swords, just blood, sweat and fists!”
  • 00:11:09–00:12:28 Vegito’s Kamehameha against Yamoshi’s “FINAL… RAY!”, two fingers pointed from clasped hands.
  • 00:13:01 Vegito: “I’m gonna enjoy learning that, once I take your energy!”
  • 00:14:14–00:14:41 Yamoshi, armour damaged: “a Saiyan of your generation… I could’ve used a training partner like you, back in the old days.”
  • 00:15:01 Vegito: “You look younger than me!”
  • 00:15:42–00:16:31 Vegito opens a time portal behind Yamoshi and kicks him into it.
  • 00:16:48–00:17:40 Yamoshi lands at “the finals of the World Martial Arts Tournament” between young Goku and Piccolo, who sense his energy.
  • 00:17:40–00:17:59 Yamoshi: “He used the time rings he stole to do this to me”.
  • 00:17:59–00:18:34 Goku and Piccolo call a truce against the stranger.
  • 00:18:54–00:19:13 Yamoshi: “Well, this brings back memories!”
  • 00:19:50 Yamoshi: “This is his planet, isn’t it? I thought this guy cared for the lives of others.”
  • 00:20:06–00:20:43 Vegito lands with a controlled crash; Goku and Piccolo are thrown into walls but kept alive; the announcer thinks it’s part of the show.
  • 00:21:03–00:21:54 Yamoshi leaves through the portal; Vegito follows.
  • 00:21:54–00:22:11 “a very strange, but mysteriously familiar looking city, with a red sun”.
  • 00:22:48–00:23:39 Vegito is knocked into King Vegeta’s throne room; two elite guards balk at fighting them.
  • 00:24:57–00:26:05 A Saiyan with a scar [?] — Bardock — watches with Gine: “Could they really be Frieza’s men?… get me Kakarot! We need to send him off now!”
  • 00:26:20–00:26:39 Yamoshi: “Get us back to the present, fool!” — incensed by the “lack of respect for the laws of time travel”.
  • 00:26:39–00:27:21 A portal opens “as if somehow controlling Vegito’s time rings, without even wearing them”; Yamoshi escapes.
  • 00:27:53–00:28:29 Yamoshi: maybe the tools “recognize that you’re no god… they would react to the call of a true deity. Next, will be that staff of yours too.”
  • 00:28:44–00:29:03 “God help you if you ever meet Chronoa, for she WILL have your head… The kind that reminds me of my past.”
  • 00:29:20–00:29:37 Vegito: “You speak like you actually know plenty about my people”; Yamoshi isn’t “as bad as the other ones”.
  • 00:30:21 “this isn’t even my final form!”
  • 00:31:26–00:32:36 Fangs, purple fur on the torso, a tail, a purple V crest, both horns — “Vegito has finally returned to his ultra demon form”.
  • 00:32:57–00:33:12 Vegito: “This power of mine is a mix of countless gods. Both Guts, Madara, and even one of those so-called demon emperors”.
  • 00:34:00–00:34:32 Yamoshi turns Super Saiyan: “multiplied his power by 50 times”.
  • 00:34:44 Vegito: “You’re a Saiyan? There’s no way… How?”
  • 00:35:05–00:35:30 “I am the first, and the only, true, Super Saiyan God.”
  • 00:35:30–00:36:42 His aura goes yellow, orange, red; like Super Saiyan 3 he loses his eyebrows; long blood-red hair, a fiery red aura.
  • 00:36:58–00:37:18 “The power of the legendary warrior seen only every 1000 years in our species. This is the true final form of a super saiyan god… 1000 times stronger than before.”
  • 00:37:42 Vegito: “I… I can’t defeat you…”

Uncertainties

  • Which tournament: the narration says only the final between young Goku and Piccolo — the 23rd in the source series (inferred).
  • The Planet Vegeta stop: Bardock still fears “Frieza’s men” (00:25:44), so it’s not the Planet Vegeta timeline where Vegito killed Frieza (ep 0030) (inferred). Whether these stops are in Vegito’s own timeline’s past or other timelines isn’t said.
  • “I can’t defeat you” (00:37:42) is said as a mutter; he doesn’t give up — the next episode he fights on with the Solar Flare, Destructo Disc and Kaioken (ep 0055 00:20:04–00:42:39).
  • Yamoshi calls himself a “god” (“us gods have jobs to do”, 00:02:52) — and a Saiyan.
