Summary

God-killer Vegeta explains his Ultra Egomaniac as the next evolution of Ultra Ego, made possible by holding the power of all twelve destroyers; Ardos suspects that, in absorbing his multiverse’s gods, Vegeta unknowingly took in some “dark god” too (ep 0258 00:01:44–00:03:43). Talos refuses to fight Veku, saying he only fights strong opponents (ep 0258 00:04:37–00:06:10). Ardos, an unwanted son who survived many attempts on his life, and Vegeta clash as equals; Ardos’s devil wall blocks Vegeta’s dark ball and his claws slice him, but Ultra Ego makes Vegeta stronger with each wound (ep 0258 00:06:24–00:12:44). Zeus grudgingly notes another of Hera’s creations exceeding expectations (ep 0258 00:12:49–00:13:16). Vegeta fills the stage with white mist — his own domain, which Zeus says these Saiyans learned after King showed his — and attacks unseen from all sides (ep 0258 00:15:19–00:21:16). Ardos spins himself into a hurricane to clear the mist, then reveals speed inherited from his father, Zeus: he severs Vegeta’s arm and wing, stabs him through the chest and stamps on him (ep 0258 00:23:05–00:30:13). Talos seems to knock Veku out with one slam, but it is a clone; the real Veku uppercuts Ardos (ep 0258 00:31:05–00:34:25). Vegeta then heals himself completely with a Dragon God’s finger snap, a power from the gods he absorbed, and he and Veku power up together (ep 0258 00:36:20–00:38:09). As Ardos backs away in fear, a voice in his mind — “This won’t do, baby boy… My dear vessel” — belongs to a horned figure with dark purple eyes who takes him over (ep 0258 00:38:35–00:40:08). With new eyes, horns and a crazed look, the possessed Ardos casts “Queen’s Erasure”, a red beam rising from the ground that erases Vegeta and Veku without a trace, leaving Hera smashing the stands and Zeus shaken (ep 0258 00:40:36–00:42:29).

Key events

  • 00:01:48–00:02:28 Vegeta: Ultra Egomaniac is “the next evolution of ultra-ego”, fed by the power of all 12 gods of destruction.
  • 00:02:49–00:03:11 Ardos: “A dark god that you, by chance, took the power of.”
  • 00:05:27–00:05:42 Talos: “I will only fight strong fighters! You do not make the cut!”
  • 00:06:24–00:06:48 Ardos: “Try being an unwanted son of an Elder God!”
  • 00:10:20–00:10:37 Ardos’s devil wall.
  • 00:12:00–00:12:30 Ultra Ego: damage makes Vegeta stronger.
  • 00:14:25–00:14:53 Ardos and Vegeta admit they are equals.
  • 00:15:19–00:16:44 Vegeta’s white-mist domain; Zeus: they mastered domains after King showed his.
  • 00:24:11–00:25:33 Ardos spins into a hurricane and clears the mist.
  • 00:26:29–00:27:51 Lightning-level speed: Vegeta’s arm and wing cut off, chest stabbed.
  • 00:28:49–00:29:21 Ardos: his speed came “from my father, of course!” — Akobel and Castiel never used Zeus’s blood.
  • 00:31:15–00:34:25 Talos slams “Veku” — a clone; Veku uppercuts Ardos.
  • 00:37:06–00:37:24 “It feels good to be a Dragon God!” — a finger-snap heals Vegeta fully.
  • 00:38:56–00:39:12 A voice in Ardos’s mind: “You cannot lose nor die here… My dear vessel.”
  • 00:39:34–00:39:54 A silhouette with dark purple eyes in a dark place: “Ardos… I will finish this for you.”
  • 00:40:36–00:40:50 Ardos’s eyes change and horns grow, like the figure’s.
  • 00:41:21–00:42:06 “Queen’s Erasure”: a red beam from below erases Vegeta and Veku.

Threads

Uncertainties

  • The figure who calls Ardos “baby boy” and “My dear vessel” is not named; it may be his mother, from whom he has his Devil Gene (ep 0238) (inferred from “baby boy” and the horns); next episode the possessor is “revealed apparently to be his own mother”, the Queen of hell (ep 0259 00:01:09–00:01:18).
  • Whether Vegeta and Veku are dead or erased for good is not said; nothing is left of them (00:41:50–00:42:06).
  • The match result is not announced.
  • Zeus’s last words “When did I…?” (00:42:29) are cut off.
  • The episode title names the “Elder God invasion”, but the episode itself does not use the phrase.
