Summary

Exhausted after Poseidon, Ultra Vegito falls into an ocean in an unknown land and drags himself ashore, reflecting that the Elder God eye techniques and the Devil Gene drain him too fast, while the prime energy techniques Goku and Vegeta developed last longer — and he now has one of Poseidon’s, a cyan energy ball (ep 0257 00:00:23–00:04:14). Yamoshi, in a new outfit with a red scarf, pulls him out and says that, unlike “those other two Saiyans”, he knows “what you’ve really done… We were never really free”; Vegito dodges the point (ep 0257 00:04:30–00:08:18). Yamoshi says he gave his share of Zeus’s energy to someone with more talent “in their blood” (ep 0257 00:08:51–00:09:10). A cyan bolt brings that someone: Dai, the former Grand Priest, white-haired, in armour like Lucif’s and with two archangel eyes like Akobel’s, whom Vegito once absorbed with his Cell tail (ep 0257 00:09:32–00:14:32). After an even exchange that bloodies both, Dai says they are all still inside Vegito — Goku and Vegeta included — and his illusions don’t fool him; Vegito asks him to keep it from Goku and Vegeta, since the less they know, the stronger they get, and promises freedom once it is “our turn in the tournament” (ep 0257 00:12:15–00:16:14). Elsewhere Goku and Vegeta keep mastering Zeus’s energy, unaware that Vegito reaps the benefit (ep 0257 00:16:19–00:17:01). With the stage repaired, Zeus calls Ardos and a new giant, Talos; Hera answers with god-killer Vegeta and Veku, both debuting (ep 0257 00:17:15–00:20:31). God-killer Vegeta takes on Ardos, shrinking himself with Yardrat spirit control to outpace him (ep 0257 00:21:11–00:27:41). Ardos’s partial and then full Devil Gene forms beat him down, but Vegeta keeps getting stronger: his Ultra Ego, boosted by his old partner inside him who has it too (ep 0257 00:28:31–00:34:46). He then unveils “Ultra Egomaniac”, a black-and-purple, winged next stage of Ultra Ego (ep 0257 00:36:55–00:39:09).

Key events

  • 00:01:08–00:01:22 Vegito: “Elder god energy. Each one is different… Only with this kind of power can I accomplish my goals.”
  • 00:03:02–00:03:36 Elder God eye techniques and the Devil Gene drain him; prime energy techniques last better.
  • 00:03:44–00:04:14 He has taken Poseidon’s cyan energy-ball ability.
  • 00:05:18–00:05:40 Yamoshi: red scarf, black lower clothes, like god-killer Broly before he died.
  • 00:07:42–00:07:53 Yamoshi: “You might have tricked those other two Saiyans… We were never really free.”
  • 00:08:52–00:09:10 Yamoshi gave his Zeus energy to someone with more talent, “in their blood”.
  • 00:10:21–00:11:17 Dai returns: white hair, cyan eyes, Lucif-like armour, two archangel eyes like Akobel’s.
  • 00:14:05–00:14:32 Vegito: he had absorbed Dai with his Cell tail.
  • 00:14:46–00:15:04 Dai: “All of us are just still inside you. We never left… Son Goku and Vegeta.”
  • 00:15:41–00:15:56 Vegito: “The less they know. The stronger they get… It just needs to be our turn in the tournament.”
  • 00:17:21–00:17:29 Zeus: “I call forth. Ardos” — and Talos.
  • 00:19:28–00:19:30 Hera calls Veku and god-killer Vegeta.
  • 00:24:27–00:24:37 Ardos once beat a Vegeta “who gave up”.
  • 00:25:41–00:25:55 God-killer Vegeta shrinks with Yardrat spirit control.
  • 00:34:07–00:34:46 Ultra Ego, boosted by his partner inside him, “The Saiyan who grows stronger, the more he fights”.
  • 00:38:28–00:38:41 “I call this ultra egomaniac.”

Uncertainties

  • Where Vegito lands is “an unknown land” (00:00:23); since Yamoshi and Dai say they are all still inside him, it seems to be his inner world (inferred).
  • God-killer Vegeta’s “old partner who now resides within me” (00:34:23–00:34:46) is probably his own timeline’s Broly, with whom he fused (ep 0203) — not Hera’s god-killer Broly (inferred).
  • Which earlier Vegeta “gave up” against Ardos and “had a devil gene” (00:24:27–00:24:37, 00:36:25–00:36:38) is not said here.
  • Two passages are transcribed twice (00:17:44–00:18:14, 00:22:55–00:23:29); each is one event.
  • Veku vs Talos isn’t shown yet.
