Summary

Burned and beaten, Genesis drops his games and powers up to destroy Ultra Vegito, who erases the lightning with a swipe (ep 0238 00:01:04–00:03:06). Ultra Vegito admits Genesis would still win: his Cell tail worked, but inside Genesis he is ant-sized and draining him fully would take years; what he took is enough “to destroy and absorb the other members of your team”, and Genesis is “back on the menu soon”; the clone then vanishes back to the original Vegito outside (ep 0238 00:03:06–00:04:53). In Round 10 Demigra, in his partial devil form, crushes Saga with increased gravity, kicks, three forehead lasers and a flood of water from a portal that puts out his flames, leaving him face-down and unmoving (ep 0238 00:05:56–00:17:30). Demigra boasts that “this takeover” will only face the Elder Gods as obstacles, but as he readies a demonic spirit bomb, Ardos stops him in a Devil Gene form: pale white skin, three horns, red eyes, sunken cheeks (ep 0238 00:17:51–00:20:06). Ardos says he got the Devil Gene from his mother and tells Demigra to take his completed state or die; he then overwhelms him with blows and a near-instant chop that sends him into the stands (ep 0238 00:20:24–00:26:07). Demigra turns hundreds of spectators into candy and eats them, but Ardos punches through his gut and makes him spit them out (ep 0238 00:26:22–00:29:49). Demigra summons twin demonic beasts through portals; Ardos answers with far larger beasts from portals to “the pits of hell” that chain them, and an energy blade slashes through Demigra’s shoulder and arm (ep 0238 00:30:26–00:33:17). Hades begs him to stop; Demigra admits that even at full power he might not stop Ardos and surrenders, which enrages Ardos (ep 0238 00:33:48–00:35:54). Zeus, proud, says Ardos has shown his brothers they are not the only heirs of his will, and looks for Castiel — who has left the stands and is approaching Omni Vegito and Piccolo in the fighters’ quarters with dark intent (ep 0238 00:36:05–00:37:58).

Key events

  • 00:01:34 Genesis: “You aren’t Veggie-Chan anymore, you are definitely Vegito.”
  • 00:04:04–00:04:39 Ultra Vegito: draining Genesis from inside would take years; what he has is enough “to destroy and absorb the other members of your team”; “You’ll be back on the menu soon enough.”
  • 00:04:53 The clone disappears and returns to the original outside.
  • 00:08:15–00:08:57 Demigra raises the gravity on Saga.
  • 00:12:30–00:13:05 Three red lasers from the three dots on Demigra’s forehead pierce Saga.
  • 00:15:18–00:16:18 A rip in reality pours out water that douses Saga’s flames.
  • 00:17:57 Demigra: “Seems this takeover will only really have the Elder Gods as obstacles.”
  • 00:19:38–00:20:00 Ardos’s Devil Gene form.
  • 00:20:41–00:20:52 Ardos: his mother “is who I gained this devil gene from”.
  • 00:21:13 Narration: the Devil Gene is “the counter to” the Elder Gods’ own ability.
  • 00:21:32 Ardos: “Transform into your completed state, if you do not want to die.”

Threads

Uncertainties

  • Saga’s fate is left open: face-down, “unclear if dead or alive” (00:17:00–00:17:30).
  • Zeus does not formally announce Round 10’s result after Demigra’s surrender.
  • Who says “I always did wonder where my powers were from… I could never enter these portals myself” (00:32:15–00:32:27) is unclear; it fits Ardos (inferred).
  • What slashes Demigra from behind (00:32:37–00:32:57) is a “shadowy presence”; Ardos tastes the blood afterwards.
  • “Hopefully this won’t show too much. Avert your gaze, Zeus.” (00:05:45–00:05:52) has no clear speaker.
